WOYWW 469 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I am working on some more birthday cards using the Concord and 9th stamp set and enjoying a bit of 'colouring in' for a change.

Using these brush pens from WH Smiths. I have to say they are very juicy!

And of course I cannot go without showing you the ATCs that have arrived from: from left to right - Nikki, Annie and JO, Heather across the top. From the bottom: left is from Neet and on the right from Shaz which arrived last week.
They are all lovely, thank you so much x

And this week from Diana on the left and Ali on the right.

I also received some lovely extras which will be very useful so many thanks for those too.
I couldn't resist placing the ATC that Diana sent on top of the envelope, how lovely they are together.
You may have noticed the plastic envelope that Ali sent here's in as it's so sweet and that lovely greeting card.

Just to finish off, if you haven't seen this already, I have made a sweet little folder to store the ATCs in.

If you want the instructions for making you can find them here.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you what I made with this left-over Masterboard: I had only used a small section so plenty to play with.

It was left over from an earlier project which I did for 'That Craft Place' (Lisa Horton's Blog). If you would like to see the project and the tutorial for making the link is here.

But getting back to this project...........

On the 23rd of May it was the anniversary once again of the Wednesday Blog hop at the 'Stamping Ground' which has now been going for 9 Years and is still as strong as ever.
Each Wednesday we all pop round to visit each others desks (woyww, What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday) to see what our friends are up to and for the anniversary we are swapping ATCs (Artist Trading Cards).

I thought it would be nice to have somewhere special to store these so decided on a little concertina box so here goes.

I started by making some coin envelopes, think the actual die refers to them as Pocket Envelopes.

Cut an A4 sheet of craft card in half and then die cut the required amount of pockets.

Fold the creases to create the pocket.
As I didn't need the flap closure I cut these off with scissors.

I then went on to make the box section using the card from the back of an envelope but any sturdy grey card would do.

These are the measurements I use but this will depend on what you plan to use it for.

Cut the pieces and colour the edges. I used Distress Oxides but you could use paint too.

I used the same measurements to mark the Masterboard which will cover the card.

Now it's time to put the sections together. You need a piece of lighter weight card though still strong to attach the box pieces leaving about 5mm between each piece as this is where the folds will be.

Once you have glued these down securely, turn the box over.

Then fold the box into shape and attach the masterboard pieces.

I edged the pieces with black Oxide ink before attaching them but that is up to you.

Next you can add any embellishments. I used clear gems and Stickles Glitter Glue.

You need to attach the pockets together and I did this with double sided tape.

Creating a concertina inside the box.

The sentiment is by Tim Holtz and the number was from my stash.

I also decided it needed something around the inner edge which I added with a Faux stitch stamp.
It is easier to do this before mounting everything but if you're like me you don't always know quite where you are going with some projects and I guess that was how this one developed too.

And so to the final box.

I think the faux stitching really finishes this off well.

I have used a pair of small magnets as the closure which were attached before the Masterboard was added so you can't actually see it now.

I used craft card for the pockets but you could use coloured card too.

Hope you enjoyed seeing me make this and the next time you see it  there should be lots of lovely ATCs in it.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Happy Bank Holiday and more crafty stuff.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I don't normally post new projects at the weekend but as it's a Bank Holiday I thought Why Not!

So I am here today to show you this card made with a Left-Over Masterboard from an earlier project.

These were made using Fresco Paint and stamps by Paper Artsy.

For this card I used up one of the left over Masterboard as the background, with the plain Pearlescent die cut card over the top.

As there was still a little of the Masterboard left I decided to die cut some small butterflies to add to the design.
To complete this I mounted a plain matching card to the card blank and then attached the other two sections.
Several of the plants were then finished with Stickles Glitter Glue and the butterflies and a Tim Holz die cut text added.

The dies are by Clarity and this one is called 'Queen Anne's Lace Aperture'
These dies just cut so well and look great.

Hope you enjoyed this little extra.

I would love to hear your comments and when I know where you are I'll pop over to see you too.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

I would like to enter this in the following Challenges:

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Obviously last Saturday was the Royal wedding and The Football and I found this in the park.

Finding these little treasures always makes me smile.

The Lincoln Ninjas are an art group who make things and leave them around the city for people to find, I think it's a lovely idea.

Wisteria looking pretty.

A rather large bug which I'm sure is eating the leaves on my fruit trees!

The swans have babies.
Sorry about the brightness but it was just that.

They are so cute.

We could see there were two but then one disappeared!

If you look carefully one of them has hitched a ride under mum's wings.
How sweet is that, wonder if she told him to get on there?

This was Friday setting up for the wedding.

Big screen so they could watch the wedding and the football.

Other than all that fun, I've been trying to sort the garden too while the weather's nice.
Plenty to smile about this week weather wise.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW 468# What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

This is an extra special Workdesk today as it's also the 9th Anniversary and to celebrate we will be swapping ATCs (Artist Trading Cards).

My collection will be winging it's way to all my dear blogging friends.

I'm working on some new birthday cards as there seems to be loads in the next couple of months.

This is my favourite set at the moment by Concord and 9th.
I'm planning to use up some old Masterboards again.

The little brown box has some ATCs in it waiting to be posted though actually they will have gone by the time you see this.
Some old wooden stamps there too.

 This is new too.

More old Masterboards to be used up!

Quite liking these.

I'll post the card when it's finished.

Thought you might like to see this card I made recently and the details for making (if you need them) are here.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww  anniversary
and
happy crafting,
