WOYWW -804- What's on your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Now this should make you smile cos it's a mess!
Been busy prepping some cards for my friends.
They are not card makers but like to make a few C. cards and I don't mind getting something ready that they can manage to complete in a few hours.

Your words about my felting last week were so kind. My interest in so many techniques comes from my years of teaching textiles and art but from being a little girl I loved making things it's just how I am.
However this can be a problem as I flit from one thing to another and have far too much stuff but I am working to try and use it up.

So another mushroom this time felted onto fabric following the class with Sophie Wheatley.
Hope you like it.
Now I'm back into it again there's sure to be be more to follow so watch this space.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

What no Masterboard?

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made at the Craft and Chat club on Saturday so no Masterboard today:

Like many of you we're working on Christmas card ideas and I've made these using up some Christmas papers by Crafter's Companion.

Hope you like them......

This style is called a Cascading Pleat Card.

Just wanted to show it to you in different positions.

It's pleated on one side and the spare pieces of card are used to make the pages for the front and centre.

These were so much fun to make and I finished them with Stickles Glitter glue, sentiment and some small gems.

I have decided to add white card to the back of this to add your message as it seemed a shame to attach it insde the card and spoil the effect but you could position it inside so it isn't visible when the card is closed.

This is not a large card though you could easily make it taller if you cut it from a 12"x12" piece of card but it can be easily made from an A4 too.

The original cards when finished measure measured
4" x 5 1/2"  so easily fit into a C6 envelope.

Hope you like it.
I would love to hear your comments and if you need anymore details just ask.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week and them too.

What do you suppose is going on here.
Do you think Alfie is taking any notice of her?

I think Daisy wanted the spot by the cushion and Alfie wouldn't move.

There seems to be something going on here all the time.

I would love to know what they are saying to each other.

We have had some nice weather this week so more gardening.

And here we are out in the garden.
Look at that face. She's so cheeky!
The fuchsias are still flowering but don't know for how much longer.

Hubby decided to clean out one of the filter this week and this is what we found when he lifted the lid off.
I managed to put it in a bucket until we'd finished and then put it back again and it's still there though it's so fat that I can't think how it got in there.

Pleased hubby does this job and not me but I did buy him those long gloves, very useful.

Back in the park this week......

If you've been around here recently you will know why I've been photographing fungi in the park.

These Fly Agaric usually pop up in the park around the silver birch trees.

We have quite a collection at the moment.

And here's what I've made.

It's a baby Fly Agaric which has joined my earlier project Mr hare.

And to finish......

Could easily be my two.

And when you do get back this happens....

That's dogs for you, they know just how to make you feel guiulty!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for "This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

It's left-over Masterboards today:

It's no good, can't leave it any longer have to start seriously on the Christmas cards.
I always have some Masterboard left-over from the year before so starting by using some of that, I hate wasting my efforts.

And here goes.

I have made something like it before but love it and might have another play with this die.

One of my favourite companies this die is by Memory Box and is called Snowflake Lens.
Finished it with some diecut snowflakes and a shiny blue gem.

More to follow soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

My neighbour took this photograph of the Aurora Borealis over our house, never seen that here before.

Saturday we went for our flu jab, the nurses at the clinic were jet propelled. We arrived to a massive queue and within fifteen minutes everyone was done and on their way home.

Luckily I did my housework when we got back as I wasn't feeling my best the following day but fine by Monday so more gardening that day pulling out some waterlily leaves ready for the winter.

Red arrows are back and busy again.
Sorry not a brilliant photo.

I seem to have been spending more time trying to come up with ideas for Christmas cards rather than making anything but I'll get there.

Tuesday went into town to visit the bank and sell a few old gold rings at the jewelers which went well, gold is up in price at the moment so better to be selling than buying right now.

From there we went to the fish farm to pick up some winter provisions for the winter so the fish will be pleased.

Not very busy so we were soon in and out again though I did have a look at some of the fish obviously.

Oh dear temptation! Walk away from the fish!
These are some of the larger fish and they have a side window in the pond so you can look inside.

Stopped and had lunch out and then home again.

Thursday found us in the garden as it was a nice day.
Getting the trees ready for the winter with fruit tree Grease.

Daisy was enjoying running around the garden.

Alfie having a sniff round.

They were both ready for this when we got back on Tuesday as we left them both at home.

Animals are the only creature that love you more than they love themselves that is if you're kind to them obviously.

A good cuddle puts everything right.

I have to watch out for this as Daisy's favourite thing is to try and lick your nose and I don't know where that tongue's been Lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
'Sarah's Craft Shed' and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today well this was Monday actually but been busy since so very little crafting!

Been playing with some new inks (new to me that is) by Lisa Horton.

This was just the start and there's loads more photographs below this one, made a card too but nothing new started yet.

So that's me done for today, think it will be Christmas cards soon but need to come up with some ideas first.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

A4 card today as I was only playing with some Lisa Horton Cloud 9 Interference inks to see how they looked using different techniques but you can't waste a nice piece of card right!

I've enlarged this bit of card so you can see how the colours show.
I applied the ink to my glass mat and then placed the card over it to pull the colour but the Interference didn't show with this technique but applying it with a blending tool through the stencil worked really well and you can see how the blue and brown show on the leaf.

The blue is very shiny and I found that even though two colours don't always show with some techniques the shine certainly does.

I'm loving these inks. I added a little more interest by splattering some white spots on next and some stamping.

And so to making a card.

The next part was to decide on the focal image and I've used a sizzix die for this.

Layered this with matching coloured cards.

The sentiment was from this set by Woodware.

And I have all this left over so we'll see, I'm sure I'll find a use for it and more playing with the inks too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
