WOYWW 277 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
It's come around again, Wednesday I mean.

Angela here to show you:
"What's on my workdesk this Wednesday"(WOYWW).

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground and our dear host Julia will explain and all will be revealed.

Anyway back to my desk Lol!

This week I have been working with a Masterboard which was sent to me by my friend Gloria.
Each month we both make a masterboard and swap them, then make something using these papers and send them back.
This is great fun and you never know what the other person is going to do until it pops back through the letterbox or the postman knocks on the door.
Great fun and it's just like Christmas opening the parcel.

So here's my offering for this month.

Gloria's Masterboard looked like this:

And this is me working on the project.

Sorry, you are only seeing a little bit of desk on this post.

If you were here earlier this week you will have already seen it,
but not this!

The Front Cover.

I covered the centre of the ballooon with Tim Holtz clear Crackle paint and then went over it with green ink when set.
I have sealed the crackle with Mod Podge glue to ensure the crackles don't break off.

A little peek!

And this is the inside.
This is what I call a book box, simple to make as it is just a flat, shallow box base and a cover.
I have cut out some of the airships from the Masterboard and attached them with 3D foam stickers and added stickles glue and 3D glaze.
I have also used some of Tim Holtz Ephemera: Expedition which can be seen inside the box.

And here is:
The Back Cover.

I would like to say it's finished but you never know Lol!
I may add a little something extra to the inside, it feels as though there should be something else there, we will have to see.

Hope you enjoyed looking and thank you for visiting. It would be nice if you could pop over to see some of the other desks on view today at the Stamping Ground.

Happy crafting,
Angela x

Stunning book box - I really love that vintage steam punk feel to it - and thanks for the tip on sealing the crackle glaze with Mod Podge so it doesn't flake off - that's a problem I've had in the past and will definitely try your handy hint! Hope you have a great week,

Hi Angela, come on over and have a good old mooch through my stash! I don't fully understand the Masterboard concept, but from this post it looks like a piece of art which is then reused. Which is more than I knew before! The book box looks great.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE that book-box!!! Swaps like that are fun indeed (I have two art journals going on between me and a good friend... we swap our book to make a page and give it back to the other to fill the other page up to make a spread...) It is inspiring and fun, thanks for showing your project and thanks for stopping by my desk yesterday. Hope you have a nice, colourful, sunny and inspiring day. Happy woyww, Marit #47

What a beautiful project, Angela - I wasn't sure what a book box was till I saw this! Along with masterboards, you are managing to introduce me to quite a lot of lovely new things! (Love this masterboard, too). I'm afraid I haven't done any more on my masterboard as I've had other things to do lately.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Thanks for your lovely comments, Angela, and I'm glad you like my card and my ARTHaven (untidy as it was - yesterday a.m. I had a grand tidy-up lol!). As for being late with WOYWW, I always say you are never late if you get in a comment before 11.59 p.m. on the Tues. night!
