Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
I thought it would be nice to post some of the photographs I took last week when the weather changed.
This was the start of the week.
You can still see the pond at this stage.

Just look at the size of those flakes!
You can see here how much had arrived overnight.

We did have a moment of sun which was quite nice. This did make me smile as I think the garden looks lovely covered in snow with the sun out.

By the middle of the week the only bit of the pond you could see was by the fountain.
I always leave it running so that oxygen can get into the pond and of course the filters can work. Some people prefer to shut them off in the winter to keep the water temperature stable but you can't have both and this has always worked for me and the fish obviously!

It's snowing again here!

We did manage to take the dogs for their walk as the park is quite close but as you can see the snow made it quite difficult to see very much. I was hiding under a tree to take this photograph.

This is quite a nice photograph.

The ducks managed to find the only bit of water still available.

Now that the snow is melting our little friends are back and it looks like they have decided that they quite like it here so maybe we'll see some little ones this year.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

How lovely Angela and as they say *As pretty as a Picture* Wouldn't some of those photographs make wonderful Christmas cards.
It's amazing how nature survives the conditions whilst we huddle away indoors. It's as if it was all a dream now and no sign of any aspect from the past week.
Wishing you a marvellous weekend
Hugs Tracey xx

I rarely go out into the snow these days but I love to see all the pictures of it and it certainly makes us smile when it’s all gone. Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos.
Hugs,

Hi Angela,
I love your snowy pics especially the one with the bandstand. You had it much worse than us in Essex.
We had some blue tits show interest in our bird box a month or so ago but haven't seen them since. We do have some collared doves though trying to make a nest in our conifer tree. I just love watching the birds.
Thanks for visiting and have a good week.

I can't believe how much snow you got, although I've been watching it on the Weather Channel. Those are certainly beautiful photos. I love seeing your back yard, but was shocked that you took your camera to the park. Lovely photos regardless.

Interesting fact: Wichita has had LESS THAN 1/2 inch of moisture since October 1, 2017 until March 8, 2018 (yesterday). Saw it on the news last night.

Lovely photos as a record of the snow. I’m looking forward to the photos of your blue tit chicks!

It looks as though you had more than your fair share of the snow. It is amazing what the fish can survive though. We used to let our pond just freeze over, and the fish were fine, just swimming around very slowly under the ice. We just had to make sure the boys didn't tap on it as the shock waves can kill the fish.
It shows real dedication to venture into the park in that snow. Even the ducks look cold. The trees are pretty though! I hope it is all gone soon without any flooding or damage. Kate x

Boy, that is a lot of snow! Pretty pictures though. And I agree with Tracey that they would make beautiful Christmas cards.
When everything is snowed over i would be afraid to step in the pond accidently as you can't see where it is.
Good for you that you ventured into the park. The dogs loved it I suppose. And being skiers ireckon you have good warm gear to wear.
I love the photos with the blue tits.
Have a good week,
Hope the snow melts with not too much chaos,
Lisca

Hoping it has melted and is all but finished for you. We are supposed to get some more each day this week starting tonight- ugh! I am sick of it already!!
Hope your week is sunny and snow free!

Hi Angela! Oh my goodness, that snow is incredible!!! The pictures are stunning and it all looks fantastic .. I so love snow!! This, from someone who lives in a place where we never get any!! LOL!! Hope you kept nice and warm through all that, it does look lovely but so very cold. Down here, we are into Autumn but the weather man doesn't realise that yet, we are still getting temps in the high 20s to low 30s. Centigrade, that is. Hope your weather is much better now. Have a faulous day! hugs x
