Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you how the new project is developing. This is going to take some time to make but has to be finished before the end of this month.

Any way this is where I'm up to.

Just a reminder, this is the paper pack I'm using.

And this is the front cover of the Journal.
The ribbon was placed underneath the paper before attaching to the front cover.

I used a Spellbinders die to decorate the front and then die cut the piece from the front of the book and attached over the die cut. "Waste not want not" as they say.
It's perfect for the front of the journal.
I also added one of the ephemera images which are included. You will see more of these later.

I decided while decorasting the front of the journal I would do the spine too.
This ribbon and lace have been sitting around for ages waiting to be used.

The ribbon for the fastening was positioned under the lace as I attached it.

I will almost certainly come back to this later.

I'm not going into details for the next piece as it would take too long but I made a small book to be attached to the first page.

I used this technique quite a lot to create loose pockets.
Any edging die cut can be used and then add a strip of patterned paper.

There are several examples here.

Hopefully these [pockets will be useful to add notes and memories.

The book is attached under the first sheet that is attached to the inside of the cover and I included a magnet as the fastening.

The stages in making the folder itself can be found here from last week.

I think that is more than enough for one day but if there is anything you want to know just send me a message on the contact form on my blog and I'll get back to you.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
