Masterboard Card Ideas for Christmas.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Blogging friends, hope you are all well.

As promised on Monday, just a little something extra from last week's Masterboard.
I had a little bit of the Masterboard left but not enough to cover the whole card so this is how I used it.

Couldn't resist using the Tim Holtz On The Edge Snow Flurries die to add a little extra detail.
Think it works okay but what do you think?
Let me know if you have time, please!

Hope you like it.

Happy crafting,

Anyway back to my desk Lol!
and
The Wallet Book!

Here is my desk for today, if you look around you can probably work out what I have been up to and here is a list of what I have been using recently:
  • In the centre - the Wallet Book, not quite finished.
  • To the left - some of Tim Holtz new snowflakes dies used for last week's Christmas cards.
  • To the back left - some AtCs I have been making for a swap and some wooden Prima embellishments for the wallet book.
  • Moving towards the right, Stickles glue also for the wallet book, gilding wax, glue and glaze.
  • The Prima distressing tool, I have been using to edge the card for the book.
  • Packets of tags ready for Tim's tags (if I ever get round to making one this month Lol!)

A couple of extra pictures showing other parts of the wallet book.

Will post the completed wallet when finished.

Now I need to get on, finish this and make the Christmas wallet, hopefully.

Quickly Lol!!!

Hope you will pop over to see my desking friends.
Happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday # Christmas Card Ideas.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Bloggy Buddies  hope you are all crafty happy.
I succeeded in making five Christmas cards despite it being a busy week, nearly got the garden ready for the winter too.
So here are some of what I made.

The first one has already been posted last week but here it is again just to remind you.

The second one uses one of the new Tim Holtz dies, Stacked Snowflakes, on the front though I only used part of it as it would have been to big otherwise.

These are interesting, though it may not be easy to see that the one on the left is actually the negative of the one on the right.
I used red card and the Tim Holtz Layered Snowflake with the embossing folder and then mounted it on top of the Masterboard.
I then took the waste card (negative piece) and placed this on top of another piece of the Masterboard, embossed it and went over it with distress ink to help it stand out.
The small snowflakes were made with some paper punches.

I had some small pieces of Masterboard left so cut these into small squares and mounted them up.

I have still got a little section of the Masterboard left and will probably make another card which I will post later in the week.

But here is what you have all been waiting for.... drum role!!!!
the new Masterboard for this week.

It's quite different from the others, pale lilac, turquoise and pink, quite delicate.

You can see better on this view that I started by embossing snowflakes with clear embossing powder.

The text was added using a Crafters Workshop mask.

Hope to post some samples during the week and will be back with the finished set and another Masterboard next Monday.

Happy crafting,

Steampunk Festival 2014.

Hi Blogging friends, couldn't resist showing you a few more photos from this year's Steampunk Festival.

As they were so kind to let me photograph them, it's only right to give them a place on my blog.

Sorry, know you've seen this before but I just love it.

What fun they had!

Anyway back to my desk Lol!

The Wallet Book!

So many of you were interested to see this and I have been working on it so here is where I am so far.

I have attached the side pieces to make the pockets and side flaps.

I would like to have been a bit further on with this but been a bit busy with other things too.
If you missed the first showing of this you can find it here which shows the papers used and info about the wallet.

I really like this and I'm considering making a Christmas one to mount any photographs that we take during the festive period.
We shall see.

The next time you see this it will definitely be finished.

Bye for now and happy crafting.
Hope you will visit my workdesk friends by popping over to The Stamping Ground.

Masterboard Monday # Christmas Cards.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Here we are again for the next Christmas Masterboard.

I decided to go more for traditional Christmas colours this time.
Anyway here it is:

The white spotty embossing was done with Wow, White Puff embossing powder.

These are some of the things I used to make these Masterboards.

I applied the ink to the paper using a Brayer and the paper below was were I cleaned it. This paper may well be useful for die-cuts.

And here is the first of the samples.

More samples from this Masterboard to follow soon.

Happy crafting,

Masterboard Christmas Card Ideas.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Blogging friends, hope you are all well.

Nearly there, just two more Christmas cards to go to complete the five for this week and then we will be ready for the next Masterboard.

However, I have actually managed to make an extra one, it's surprising how many you can make out of one A3 piece of paper.
Obviously you have to make the Masterboard but after that the cards come together fairly quickly.

So here they are:

Decided to make some different Snowflakes this time with the Tim Holtz dies.
I really like these though they will be a bit difficult to post as the snowflake is quite chunky.

And here is the extra card.
I had some small pieces left which I have cut into squares and then mounted together. I think this is a good way to use up small pieces.
It works for me Lol!

Hope you liked those.

As tomorrow is Monday, the new Masterboard will be here so hope you like it.

                                                               Happy crafting,

Masterboard Christmas Card Ideas.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Still using the Masterboard from Monday and here is the third card but this time I have added an embossed panel and turned the topper horizontally for a change.
Same patterned paper just a different layout.

With the embossing folder, I gently rubbed the image to remove some of the colour. I could have added ink to the white edge and snowflakes but decided to leave it as it matched well with the card blank and made the blue pop out.

Two more cards to come from this Masterboard to make up the five for this week, I hope Lol!

Have a great week and happy crafting,

WOYWW#280 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are with yet another Wednesday.
There's no rest for the wicked or so they say Lol!

Angela here to show you:
"What's on my workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground and our dear host Julia will explain and all will be revealed.

Anyway back to my desk Lol!

Apart from the Christmas Masterboards I have been making, I am also working on a Mini Wallet Book using the gorgeous Prima papers that are on my desk.
As you can see I have also been doing a lot of pushing sideways, to the right and to the left Lol! I would go backwards but there's nowhere to go, expanding walls would be good Lol!
My desk is definitely ready for a good tidy up.

Fairly quick this week but will post the Wallet as soon as it is complete.
If in the meantime you would like an idea of what I am making you can see it on:
or at:

it is called a Mini Wallet Brag Book and Astrid Maclean has made a lovely one too, such an inspirational lady.

Now I hope you will pop over to see my friends desks.

Happy crafting,

Masterboard Christmas Card Ideas.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Just a quick post to show you another of the Christmas cards using this week's Masterboard.

The large Snowflake was heat embossed at the beginning before I stamped any of the other images. Though there was some colour already on the paper, the embossing looks white but was actually done with clear embossing powder.

If you haven't seen this week's Masterboard, please look at yesterday's post.

Hope you like it and more to follow before the end of the week.

                          Happy crafting,
Angela x

Masterboard Monday.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Blogbuddies  so much for five Christmas cards a week Lol!

Anyway I have made some more Christmas Masterboards and intend making some quick cards with these to make up for getting behind so here is the first of those.

Hope you like it.

This Masterboard was originally a sheet of A3 cartridge paper that I cleaned my craft mat with and you can probably see the blobs in the background.
I call this my Snow Storm design because that's what it looks like (well to me anyway).
When I had finished it, I felt that it was a rather chaotic design but as I was already behind with my plan for making the Christmas cards I decided it would have to be okay Lol!

These are close-ups of sections of the design.

Decided to prepare some card blanks by stamping on them with snowflakes.

Die-cut and embossed some snowflakes.

With these, I produced the first Christmas card.

This card only used a small piece from the Masterboard as you can see, so lots more available for more cards which will follow during the week.

Hope you enjoy looking and find the ideas useful.

Happy crafting,
Angela x
