That Craft Place Challenge and Masterboard.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
And here is my new design for :
That Craft Place Challenge Blog.

As usual this fortnight's theme is:
Mixed Media Anything Goes!
So lets see what you can come up with!

But before you start here is my piece using a variety of products from That Craft Place.

For this project I am using the other part of the MDF heart.

You may remember me using the frame section for my last project.

And this Masterboard.

And today I have used the solid part of the heart and more of the Masterboard to create this layered heart:

Started by applying grunge paste through a stencil (available from That Craft Place) and then covering it with adhesive aluminium foil which I rubbed down to cover the hearts and then applied black acrylic paint.

When you've done this, wipe away gently before it's fully dry leaving a thin covering to give an aged effect.

I then used the heart to trace round the Masterboard to get a good shape when cutting out.

I then cut away just enough to reveal the metal below and ripped the heart down the middle and attached it.

At this stage I die cut several more hearts and stitched them together down the centre so they would open up when attached showing the layers which you can see here.

I completed this by adding the embellishments as seen below all of which are available from That Craft Place.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you will leave a comment so I know if you like my project and maybe pop over and join in the challenge at That Craft Place.

Happy crafting,
Angela x

Friday Fun Day with Smiles 159.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi all, I have some photographs today which I hope will make you smile.

Maisie is only a small dog but she still tries to get onto the table outside while Stan watches on. He is not so food orientated as Maisie but if she manages to get that tub off the table he will help her to eat what's in it!

Maisie seems to be giving me the look here!

And after a hard morning's walk and hunting for biscuit treats a dog can get very tired!

This is actually quite unusual as Maisie normally likes her own space but they came in after getting quite wet, which is why Maisie is wrapped in the towel and for some reason she allowed Stan to cuddle up! He does look comfy.
Cute or what?

Thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW 351 # What's On You Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today! and hope you are all having a great week.

It's not very exciting today, I am working on some birthday cards using the Crazy Bird and Cat stamps and dies but the cards are not finished yet. I know some of you were hoping to see them this week but I have been busy with another project which just didn't "Float my Boat" as they say and I had to rethink it so got a bit behind with things.

As usual I started with a Masterboard for the cards.
And used this as the background as you can see here....

And here.

The little green basket has a collection of stuff waiting to be used on the other project.... a sort of revamp I guess!!!

And Yes! the moulds are still there waiting to be used and just in the front of those are some more beer mats that I have acquired!!!!

I think everything else is more or less the same but if there is anything you see that you want to know about just ask.

 So that's it for today.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.

Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday # Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 158.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over

at Crafty Cardmakers.
The theme for this challenge is 'For A Special Woman' so here goes.

Yet another masterboard....yes!

So here is the card I made.

And the Masterboard I made for the background. Some of my regular visitors may remember seeing me working on this.
First apply Gel medium through a stencil, I used 'Ornament Background' by VIVA. Allow this to and then apply various mica sprays. I prefer to use three at the most so as not to complicate the design.

I played around a little with the finish on this using metallic waxes in silver and gold which helps to pop out the details.

I finished the card with dies by Memory Box, Tim Holtz, Spellbinders and Courture Creations.
The stamp is by Inkadinkado and called Happy Days.
I have also included some cord and gems to complete the design.

I hope you will pop over to see what my team mates have been making and also to join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles 158

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Just a few things I like from the Hotel in France.

I love their style and the faces are great too.

Love this one on the wall.

And these little elves are so sweet but I have to keep rearranging their legs Lol!

He's cute too.

And this guy is on the roundabout as you leave the resort, quite clever and it made me smile as it's not really a ski position you would want to get into Lol!

So that's your lot really as we were on our way home at this stage.

Sure I will think of something different to show you next Friday.

Have a great weekend with lots of smiles.
Why not join us here and show us your smiles.

WOYWW 350 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

I am working on Birthday cards at the moment and decided to have a play with my new Crazy cat stamps and dies.
The card at the left is an old one that I made ages ago.

Thought I would show you these boxes which you can see in the tub on the right.

This is fast relief paper but look at the gorgeous design on it, I think that's going to look great on cards and canvas.

And some new moulds to make Steampunk gears, love them and can't wait to play!
Not sure yet what I will do with the beer mats but they looked interesting so they followed me home Lol!

So that's it for today, I think everything else on the desk is the usual stuff.
Hope to have more to show you next week.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.

Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday and That Craft Place Challenge

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
And here is my new design for :
That Craft Place Challenge Blog.

As usual this fortnight's theme is:
Mixed Media Anything Goes!
So lets see what you can come up with!

But before you start here is my piece using a variety of products from That Craft Place.

I started by making a Masterboard using mica sprays and crackle paste through one of my favourite stencils - 6x6 stencil: Hearts
from That Craft Place.

The MDF heart is also from That Craft Place and comes in two parts:

For this project I have only used the frame section as I have other ideas for the solid heart.

I then used this as the background for my heart hanging.

To complete this project I used three different techniques with the heart stencil which included Dry Embossing, Crackle Paste through the stencil and Foiling over 3D paste, one of Tim's (Holtz of course), techniques from some time ago which I have always loved. It gives any project a great Industrial Look.

If you would like to see the full details of how I made this and the techniques I used I will be doing a tutorial at That Craft Place blog and will post the date and link here soon.

I look forward to seeing your entries for the challenge at the:

Many thanks for your comments
and
happy crafting,
Angela x

Friday Fun Day/Smiles 157.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

We have Indians in the Alps!!!!!

Had to show you these as it came as quite a surprise to me too.
I had never skied this part of the resort before so was surprised when I saw this.

It was fairly quiet when we skied past it, I think they were all snuggled up in their teepees.

This is Courchevel 1850 Indian Run.
This is France not America!

It was beautiful!

I understand that the thought of it might make some of you want to turn the heating up and put a woolly on but when you are out there the views are tremendous, the skies are blue and the sun is gorgeous and when it snows so hard the you can't see we have a gorgeous hotel to stay in though I do sometimes manage to get him to wrap up and go for a walk or I get my laptop out and check up on you lot!

So thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW 349 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

My desk has actually grown a bit this week as I had a bit of a tidy again! needed a bit of room for the Masterboards.

This is the folder where I keep the Masterboards that I haven't used or the copies I've made.

I like to have some in hand as they are useful when you are in hurry or just need some inspiration.

I know that lots of you liked the look of the one I was working on last week so here it is almost finished.

Started by applying gel medium through a stencil.

Then various mica based sprays.

I shall probably rub over this with Treasure Gold to bring out the detail.

So that's it for today.
Hope to have more to show you next week.

You never know I might have made a card with this!

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.

Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,
