Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Back again to show you how I used this left-over Masterboard.

A great video popped up in my email box from Clip-N-Cuts last week and I just fell in love with it.

If you would like to see what got me so excited here is the link.

I have just bought this stamp set and thought it would be great for celebration cards so here goes!

Left over Masterboard:
I originally made this using the Bokeh technique which reminds me of bubbles, perfect to use with these new Tim Holtz stamps.

So first of all I stamped one of the images on to plain card and coloured it in using brush pens.

I removed a little of the ink from the ice by dabbing on water and blotting it and added Stickles Glitter glue and the salted edge of the glass was made with Puffy Fluffy Stuff from Inkilicious which you just heat gently and it puffs up.

Then cut around the main images and place the piece on one side.

Next start to stamp some interesting images to the background.

Edge with matching ink and then stamp the glass onto the background.

As I intend placing the coloured image onto the card, I applied some shadow around the stamped image.

Lay the glass on top to check that you have enough shadow.

I have some of these Tim Holtz tapes which I never got round to using so this is the ideal time.

I found these sticky labels when going through my stash and decided to use these too.
You need to keep going and adding detail until satisfied with the finished design.

Once you have built up the design the card is ready to construct.

And there we have it.
I could not resist adding a few clear gems and white pen highlights complete the design.

So there you have it all finished.
I shall definitely be making more of these using the different stamps in the set.

I would love to hear your comments and many thanks for stopping by.

Happy stamping,

Angela x

Hi Angela, what a great background! Your cocktail looks so inviting so early in the morning (maybe later hee hee!!) Super idea to use the stickles to sugar the rim of the glass. Perfect project to use up some of those found stickers.
