WOYWW - 829 - What's On your Workdesk Weednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

The desk looks messy because I'm working on some more samples for the Craft Club.
I'm not doiung the class this month but need the samples to show everyone on Saturday so need to get on with this so have to be excused for the untidiness ( not sure if that's a real word!).
Just checked it: Untidiness refers to the state of being messy or not neat and orderly. It describes a lack of organization or neatness, often implying a state of disorder.
That sounds like me alright!

I'm working on ways of using double sided card showing both sides.

These which may have noticed on top of the exploding boxes are nothing to do with these and are just something I made years ago but they are rather cute.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

You may remember these from last week, well they are back again.

More Gel printed paper cut up and mounted  to create grid collages.

You may have guessed that I love making these.

And then added the stamping and stencilling.
This one is a bit darker than last week's but love it just the same but what do you think.

Not sure at the moment whether it will stay in the journal, we'll see soon I'm sure.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week. Mostly in the garden while the weather is so nice.

We can see spring is here in Lincoln as the Bonsai are coming back to life again.
It's always a relief to see their leaves appear.

Alfie is loving it, he likes to spread out over the bluebells.

We keep this section of the garden wild until the bluebells have finished but he seems to think it's there for him. It's the only part of the lawn where he does this.

They are all coming to life now despite being squashed!

These tiny little flowers appear in the lawn each year but no idea what they are.

The fruit trees are all in flower too.

Just hope we don't get too many frosty nights.

Camillia is now in full flower.

The tulips are coming to the end but looking good.

This is one of my favourite parts of the garden.

Daisy prefers to stay in her own favourite spot and has the TV remotes at the ready in case she finds some good doggy TV.

I did go out at the beginning of the week with a few old friends which was nice and hairdressers Friday but no photos to show you of that.

Thursday was the felting club. We were making a Bracket Fungus.

This is the real thing though they can be seen in a variety of colours.

This is one made by one of the members.

So I'll finish today with a few funnies

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 828 - What's On Your workdesk Wednesday.

There doesn't seem to be much going on as I've had a cold again which has left me feeling tired and not really in the mood for standing at the desk though I did do a bit at the weekend cutting up some old Gel printed paper to make journal grids which you can see here: in the post below this one.

To the left is the stencil that Julia sent me with the sweet little card and a teabag which smells delightful.
Thank you Julia, I will do something with them soon.
The paper to the right of them is more of my efforts to use double sided patterned paper, this one is from  Crafter's Companion.

New stamps from UNIKO, can't wait to play with those and some stencils too. The dies above those are not new but got them out to make some decorative elements to go on the cards.
And I guess that's it really.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday, Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

It must be years since I made these papers on my Gel plate.
They have been sitting waiting for me to do something with them but sometimes playing with paper and paint without thoughts of how you will use the finished pieces is a good form of relaxation for the mind.

So I took some of these and cut and ripped them up to create some grid collage masterboards.
I thought it was time for some colour and used the brightest ones I have.

Next was some stamping and stencilling.
I love the way these turned out.

Then decided to remove one piece and make it into a card.
I've cut out the centre and mounted it onto a piece of black card and the base piece too.
Before mounting these together I added some metalic cord beneathe the top layer and then attached everything. Finished this with a diecut flower, stickles glitter glue and a sentiment by 'Studio Light'.

I love this card and hope you do too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week which is actually not a lot as |I've been full of cold again and not feeling like doing very much.

Saturday is not my favourite day as that's the day we do the housework and Sunday we go to the supermarket as it's a bit quieter that day. It was during the weekend that my sore throat started.

Monday I slept for most of the afternoon as I felt rubbish, another of those awful colds has attacked me again.

Daisy and Alfie have been enjoying the sun again.
Alfie thinks this is his spot but Daisy has worked out how to get up there now so he's having to share it.

Tuesday is needle felting day but this week we had a zoom meeting which was nice to get to know a few of the other members of the club.

Wednesday is woyww as some of you will know.

Thursday went to see my dear friend who's been away for a while and Friday, well I'm here talking to you.

Sadly no photos for all this though to be honest you wouldn't want to see me as I've been sniffling most of the week.

So all I have this week are a few dog funnies but I'm sure they will make you smile.

Here's why your dog's so naughty.

Of course we wouldn't have them any other way.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 827 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesdasy.

Some of you may remember this style of card from last week.

And yes this is another.
The card for this one was 'Craft O'clock'

Some of you were interested in the cards that I showed you last week and I've put the instructions for the Bow Card on my Monday post if you're interested.
It's here:

I've sent copies of the instructions to Angela, Neet and Cindy. Hope they arrrived okay.

On my desk today I'm showing you the W/Accordion card again and the instructions for making it for all my friends that asked about it otherwise you may want to leave now Lol!

When you see it like this it looks much simpler, which it is you just need to get the folds in the right place.

I've decorated mine with matching ephemera.
This is from a set by Stamperia.
Lots of stickles Glitter glue too.

This is a plain piece of card on the back of the base to add further sentiments and messages.

Even looks good from the back and it's so good to see both sides of the card and remember if your patterned card is too light just attach the base to a 5" x 7" card blank.

Inside Pop Out Card ( Accordion / W Style) materials:

·        5”x 7” Card Blank if used / needed.

·        4 ¾” x 6 ¾” Base card any colour or white/black.

·       12” x 12” Decorative double sided card/paper ideally 180-200gsm so not too thick and cut to 12” x 6 ½” .

·        Inside sentiment Panel piece size depends on the front panel but could be placed on the back too.

Instructions for making:

Score the double sided card/paper at 1 ½” - 4 ½” - 6” - 7 ½”

Attach the 4 ½” right side to the base piece and fold the next piece (3) towards it and crease well. Fold the next crease going V and M until complete.

It is possible to attach the base to a 5” x7” card blank if the patterned card is not strong enough to let the card stand up but I did not find it a problem.

I added a plain panel piece to the inside to add a sentiment which is not seen when the card is closed but could be smaller or attached to the back or inside the 5” x 7” if used.

The size of this will depend on how you decorate the front as I like the inside panel to be hidden when the card is closed.

·        Add you chosen embellishments to complete the card.

Hope that’s useful but you can just send me a

message if you need help with it x

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

happy crafting,

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with more long lost papers:

This is called a 'Springy Pop-Out Bow Shaped Card'.

I've used some  'Crafter's Companion' papers for this a Tim Holtz die to cut the embellishments and the stamps are by.

Hope these photographs and instuctions help to explain the stages in making.
