WOYWW - 862 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

If you were around on Monday this is what you will have seen and it's not much different now.

These are the last of my cards for this year and I can't wait to pack the Christmas stuff away and do something else.

Everything that needed posting is on it's way so you never know something different soon.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I thought I wouldn't get to post today as we've not had any connection since friday but I'm here now.

It was nothing but Christmas cards last week.

I fancied having a go with these though they are something I don't normally use.

The fence section was made by cutting the bottom of the card blank then into strips and embossed with a Tim Holtz Wood Grain embossing folder.
The card blanks were then embossed and decorated with Stickles Glitter Glue.
They are 3D so will only be going to the locals as they would be quite expensive to post.

These are the final lot of cards thank goodness so I should be able to get back to something different now.

I would love to hear your comments and any questions just ask.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Since the last time I was here we've had a busy week with the Boilerman coming to check out and fix a small problem, then I went to have my eyes tested neading new glasses and lenses.
Saturday it was Craft and Chat Club just what I needed, escape at last.

Here we are, not quite as busy as usual but a friendly lot all the same.

And here is my desk for today.

Hope you can see this Christmas card that we were making.
They are called curtain cards because of the folded piece which covers the main image.
I finished this with some die cut flowers and ferns.
This would work for birthday cards too.

The bright coloured thing on the right is my new phone case. I need this as the phone is always disappearing! and then I can't find it but I do have it paired with my watch now, very helpful.

Been to the garden centre too on Monday, very busy...I guess with other retired folk!

These are just amazing and must take ages to set up.

And this little group are brilliant, love them.

Lots of C. Cards being written and sent off too.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

So here is my desk for today!

My desk doesn't look much different from last week at the moment as I'm still finishing Christmas cards though nearly enough for this year.

However I did stop to make another journal page in the Ledger.

If you didn't see this on Monday, this is my new journal page for November.

If you want details you can find them here.

So that's me done for today.
I am hoping that Neet is getting much better as we are missing her loads.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Make it on Monday journal pages.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new journal page.

Started off by drawing a large circle to centre the main image and and a smaller one towards the top for the sun/moon then colouring the surface with Lisa Horton Inks. These interference inks are just so special even on this pale background.
I went over the smallest circle with white Gesso to tone it down.
When this was dry I stamped the trees twise giving definition and shadow.
Splattered with white paint and added the sentiment and that's your lot!

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Last Friday we went to Downtown near Grantham.

We popped into the garden centre which I love as there's always something intersting to see.

They look so sweet when they're this size but they don't always tell you they grow.

If you like fish tanks there are interesting things to entertain the fish.

And of course it's nearly Christmas so they had a singing bird.

So cute.

For most of the week I've been busy making Christmas cards then went for my eyes tested in town.
The centre of Lincoln was very busy as everyone waited for the Christmas lights to go on.

Definietly looks like Christmas is on it's way.

So many people and this was 5.00pm.

During a walk in the park I managed to photograph this bird sat in the top of a very tall tree, I wonder if you know what it is?

Of course we need a few funnies to finish.
Looking at dog thoughts today.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

Still working on these but just had to have a change for a while so went back to my Ledger Journal and did a page based on Autumn.

Hope you like it.

Details relating to this can be found here:

Finally I know some of you were interested to see the movement on the Christmas card I showed you last week so I've done my best to video it....

Fingers crossed it works.

So that's me done for today.

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I've been busy with the Christmas cards but needed a change of scene for a while so I am here today to show you another journal page.

My aim this year was to use the seasons as themes for the pages and this one is based on the things that I see in the park walking the dogs during November.

I used some Lisa Horton ink for the background and then used stencils to add the leaves and ferns finishing it with white splatters.

For the main images I used some fussy cut Fungi by Maremi's Small Art and
diecut ferns by Memory Box.

This is something I don't use very often but I saw the book and decided to give it a go, they are beautiful images and she has lots of other themes too.

Stencils.

Hope you enjoyed seeing this as much as I enjoyed making it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

On one of our regular walks in the park the local swan family were going walk about.

Dad is on guard as usual.

He has to keep his eyes on everything to make sure the family stay safe.

It's quite a while since they had so many cygnets, five in all this year and they are getting bigger.

You might have seen these before but they continue to look beautiful and brighten the day. these were given to me by a friend who came to the Card Play day. Another friend gave me a big bar of chocolate but I can't show you that as someone helped himself to it and now it's all gone!

Alfie suffers again, what he has to put up with!

Thursday we had a surprise when oit started snowing!
A bit unusual for November but it didn't last long.

And of course something to make you smile to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

I love the mechanism in this card and they managed it too.......with some help! and control! they get a bit excited Lol!

We finished off with this decoupage card.

If you would like to know more about any of these cards the details can be found here:

I've nothing else to show you today as I needed a rest after the class but will be making more C. Cards
very soon and hopefully some journal pages.

Monday, 17 November 2025

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some cards we made at our Christmas Card Play day:

We all had a great day and made lots of lovely C. Cards.
These are some of the ladies I used to work with and we try to meet up a few times a year.
None of them are crafters and I have to keep my eye on them Hee! Hee!
I like my pupils to be able to go home with some finished cards but we do spend lots of time chatting too.

We made three different types of card.
The first one above was embossed on card and then attached to the card blank though it is rather difficult to see the details here.
The patterned layer was die cut and then added and the die used for the tree is from Funky Fossil but not sure what make the bear is but he is so cute.
We finished these with Stickles Glitter glue.

I think the die is by Memory Box.

The second card has a Mechanism which rotates when you open and close the card. I love this type of card, they are so much fun and a great surprise when you open them. The die is by Lawn Faun.

Once you get the mechanism in place you can add the fun bits. Snowflake dies by Tim Holtz.

And finally a decoupage card.
The fencing is pieces cut from the bottom of the card front and attached to the main part of the card by the two upright pieces.
I layered the figures up with sticky dots but 3D glue could be used too.
Hope you like them.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
