Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you another of my Ledger journal pages and how I put this together:

Couldn't resist having another play with the Aurora Borealis technique from last week.
I like to edge the page with low tack tape before starting and then......

I tried to be a little bit more free with the colour and added some white below to give the effect of snow and some shading too then splatters.
I think this may be wishful thinking as there is no sign of snow here yet.

Next I removed the low tack tape and added Christmas trees with black Distress Oxide ink.

Added white Stickles Glitter glue and coloured dots to decorate the Christmas tree then finished with a sentiment which was a freebie from a magazine.

This will probably be the last of my Christmas themed journal pages for this year so hopefully something new soon........maybe!

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

WOYWW - 864 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Not very exciting I'm sure you're thinking but for good reason.

I'm in the middle of having a tidy up ready to start something other than Christmas stuff but have found time to work in the journal again.

If you like this the instructions for making can be found here:

As I had my christmas card here last week I've done an extra festive journal page for you instead.

You might guess by now that I've been playing with techniques to make a Aurora Borealis.
Hope you like them.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to and if you're here today I would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas
and a great woyww

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new ledger journal page:

Couldn't resist having a go at creating the Aurora Borealis.

They look so beautiful.

After adding the background I worked on the colours using a variety of Distress oxide inks.
I didn't want to over do my first go at this.

After adding the colours I splattered white paint to give the effect of stars and then stamped on the trees and heat embossed them with clear powder.
This looks better in real life as it's not easy to photograph.

Then finished this with a sentiment.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week though it doesn't feel like much as I've been staying in finishing Christmas stuff and waiting for the postman.

The Red Arrows are back and have been doing lots of practice over the last few weeks.

And they're not the only thing flying by!

I have never lived anywhere before where there are
so many Magpies.
We have quite a collection here.

This is at the bottom of our garden, just over the fence.
Guess it's because no one collects their eggs anymore.

I don't know about buying from a second hand Craft store, I could do with giving them some stash but it's right I do feel happy when I get to buy new stash.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you another page in my Ledger journal:

I've placed low tack tape around the edge and applied some Distress ink on the surface by placing it onto a stamping block, spray a little water onto the ink and then tap the colour lightly onto the page. You need to dry this a little between colours.

I have this new stencil by Honey Doo Crafts and I wanted to try it out so this looked like a good place to start.

Once this was dry I splattered it with white paint and then stamped over it with a Honey Doo stamp.

I coloured the flowers and leaves but then decided I wanted the flowers to stand out more.

I stamped the image again and heat embossed it then coloured the flowers and added a clear glaze.

Next cut the flowers out and attached them in place.

The flowers stand out much better now.

I felt it needed a little extra and applied Stickles Glitter glue along some of the lines around the stencil then added the sentiment.

This was a great way to test out this stencil and stamp and hope you like it too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
Another garden centre to show you this week.

We saw this house in the garden centre!
I wonder if you can guess where we saw it?

And here's the answer.
You put them on your TV like screen savers.
I should have done a Video actually as the snow on this one looked gorgeous falling.

This is Brigg garden centre (near Scunthorpe) and they always decorate it beautifully for Christmas.

I love these guys they are so cute.

Love the Post Box too.

And these Guys entertaining everyone.

Thursday I met up with my friends that I used to work with.
Scones, Coffee and lots of chat....lovely.

Today I'm off to the Hairdressers and taking the dogs for a haircut too and then off to pick up some new spectacles.....it's all go but I'll get round to seeing what you've all been up to when I get back.

So I'll finish now but couldn't resist this....

Lots of you can relate to this too!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

So here is my desk for today!

If you were around on Monday this is what you will have seen and it's not much different now.

These are the last of my cards for this year and I can't wait to pack the Christmas stuff away and do something else.

Everything that needed posting is on it's way so you never know something different soon.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I thought I wouldn't get to post today as we've not had any connection since friday but I'm here now.

It was nothing but Christmas cards last week.

I fancied having a go with these though they are something I don't normally use.

The fence section was made by cutting the bottom of the card blank then into strips and embossed with a Tim Holtz Wood Grain embossing folder.
The card blanks were then embossed and decorated with Stickles Glitter Glue.
They are 3D so will only be going to the locals as they would be quite expensive to post.

These are the final lot of cards thank goodness so I should be able to get back to something different now.

I would love to hear your comments and any questions just ask.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Since the last time I was here we've had a busy week with the Boilerman coming to check out and fix a small problem, then I went to have my eyes tested neading new glasses and lenses.
Saturday it was Craft and Chat Club just what I needed, escape at last.

Here we are, not quite as busy as usual but a friendly lot all the same.

And here is my desk for today.

Hope you can see this Christmas card that we were making.
They are called curtain cards because of the folded piece which covers the main image.
I finished this with some die cut flowers and ferns.
This would work for birthday cards too.

The bright coloured thing on the right is my new phone case. I need this as the phone is always disappearing! and then I can't find it but I do have it paired with my watch now, very helpful.

Been to the garden centre too on Monday, very busy...I guess with other retired folk!

These are just amazing and must take ages to set up.

And this little group are brilliant, love them.

Lots of C. Cards being written and sent off too.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:

So here is my desk for today!

My desk doesn't look much different from last week at the moment as I'm still finishing Christmas cards though nearly enough for this year.

However I did stop to make another journal page in the Ledger.

If you didn't see this on Monday, this is my new journal page for November.

If you want details you can find them here.

So that's me done for today.
I am hoping that Neet is getting much better as we are missing her loads.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Make it on Monday journal pages.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new journal page.

Started off by drawing a large circle to centre the main image and and a smaller one towards the top for the sun/moon then colouring the surface with Lisa Horton Inks. These interference inks are just so special even on this pale background.
I went over the smallest circle with white Gesso to tone it down.
When this was dry I stamped the trees twise giving definition and shadow.
Splattered with white paint and added the sentiment and that's your lot!

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

I would like to enter this journal page in the following challenges:

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Last Friday we went to Downtown near Grantham.

We popped into the garden centre which I love as there's always something intersting to see.

They look so sweet when they're this size but they don't always tell you they grow.

If you like fish tanks there are interesting things to entertain the fish.

And of course it's nearly Christmas so they had a singing bird.

So cute.

For most of the week I've been busy making Christmas cards then went for my eyes tested in town.
The centre of Lincoln was very busy as everyone waited for the Christmas lights to go on.

Definietly looks like Christmas is on it's way.

So many people and this was 5.00pm.

During a walk in the park I managed to photograph this bird sat in the top of a very tall tree, I wonder if you know what it is?

Of course we need a few funnies to finish.
Looking at dog thoughts today.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.
