So here is my desk for today!

The exploding box looks almost tidy today!

I managed to complete the Ledger Page too with some old Tim Holtz dies.
Information for this can be found here:

I'm hoping to complete this page soon.

Supplies needed for the journal page.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a  new Ledger journal page:

I made the background with two stencils, an Altenew for the water, one for the Sea Urchins and two colours of Distress Oxide inks then finished with Stickles Glitter Glue.

It took me some time to decide what the focal image would be and then remembered some old dies by Tim Holtz.

I must have had these for ages but they work really well with this background. I think these dies are available again now as Thinlits.
I've cut the Urchins with Kraft card and then added Distress inks by smooshing and splatters then darkening the edges with a blending brush.
The Seahorse was white card and colours of distress inks, crackle graze and Stickles Glitter Glue.
Finished with a sentiment.

I'm pleased that's finished as I have other things to come soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This week has been mostly gardening and lots of it.

We have been lucky and had some good days so been able to get stuff done.

Having a big garden seemed like a good idea when we bought the house but there is a lot of work to do.

This is hubby trimming the Wisteria, they take ages to get going when planted but once they start they don't know when to stop!

There will be a lot more when he's done trimming.

Oh! and he cleaned the pond filter sponges too.

Remember this from last week, some people working on a swiss made product in Geneva.
They are of course watches.

I've still got photos from our France visit.
These are from the Jardins Secrets which is not far from Annecy.

It is the most gorgeous place to visit.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

The exploding box continues to wobble a bit more each week!

I've been working on this journal page for at least two weeks as I just can't decide how to finish it.

You can probably see better here that I've used two stencils.
One created the Sea Urchins and one for the water effect which was added over the top of the first stencil which gives the effect of it being below the Sea Urchins.
I finished these by adding two colours of Stickles Glitter glue.

The difficult part for me now is whether to add anything else.
Guess you'll have to wait and see!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Monday fun with "Use it or Lose it".

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I'm here today to show you some Christmas card ideas using a Shutter Fold Card design.

Please don't panic seeing C. cards.
I was at the craft club on Saturday and this was the style of card that we were making so it seemed like a good chance to start some Christmas card designs.
I'm using papers by Studio Light for these cards.

This is a great card for posting as it fits well into a
4" x 6" (A6) envelope and it's nice and thin too.

It's not easy to see here but I finished the card with Stickles Glitter Glue which helps the design to pop out rather than look flat.

Same make of papers here but the colours are completely different to give a little more idea of how it might look when added with darker shades.

I wasn't sure that I would like this type of card but it's growing on me.

Hope you like these samples.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

You can probably guess from this photograph what we've been up to this week, it's an endless job in the garden at the moment.

Also have a few more photos of our trip to Lake Annecy in France.

To start here we are in the restaurant having our evening meal.

If you like French food at it's best this is the place to be.

And you can't visit France without cheese and of course it has to be regional.

My favourite, the scrummy desert.

On the Monday we visited Geneva.

This is the little train that takes you around the City.
However we walked so that we could stop off at a few places of interest.

We visited this amazing shop.

And went upstairs to the cafe for a small lunch.
Great view too.

I'm sure this was drink was very healthy combining oranges and carrots.

Then we went for a walk round the city and found some interesting artifacts.

The detail on this gun was beautiful.

I wonder if you can guess what's going on here. We saw several of these at the side of the road.
They all had large windows so you could see inside.
They are working on something quite famous to Geneva ( swiss something?) if you know what it might be please mention it in the comment and I'll give you the answer next week.

It was not supposed to rain until later but it did and we sheltered under this large umbrella next to this beautiful water fountain.

We decided to finish the visit by going to see this famous fountain.

Depending on your age you may remember it from the beginning of a TV program "The Champions":

This is hubby walking away from myself and my friend as he decided it was too wet!

And this is the photograph he took which probably gives you an idea how high this fountain goes up -
140 metres.

You can just about see myself and my friend. We're the two little figures in the distance!
That was one special day.

I think that's enough for today but of course we need a funny to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.
