Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Back to the Craft Club for our New Year Party

and some crafting too.

I'm working on my theme this year for using up all that old stuff.

Because I've been full of cold I hadn't got round to downloading the photographs from our week away skiing so you will have to suffer some of them now.

This is not the plane we went on but it's so cute that I thought you might like to see it.

That's in Chambery airport.

This is inside the hotel that we stayed at and some of you may recognise it as it's where we stayed in the past but we haven't been here since Covid.

New boots this year but there is a bit of a story why as my old ones decided to crack but they were twenty years old so I have had my money's worth out of them.

There are many changes to the hotel too as the original owners sold it during Covid and the new owners have updated much of it.

Still nice tasty goodies!

The bar used to be here but it's now become a library. These are real books by the way.

Love how they've altered the dining room.

Very stylish.

It was great to see old friends again.
This is Bruno who ownes this great little restaurant.

And gorgeous snow.

I think that's enough for now but a funny is called for!

Fun though.

Idiot skiier.
Hope he drives better than he skies!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

woyww - 817 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Desk looks a bit of a mess today as I've not done much since Saturday when I went to the Craft Club.
But I am starting to feel a bit more like myself as the cold is going gradually.

These are part of my theme for this year of "Use it or Lose it"
Been using some embossing folders though it's difficult to see as I left it white on the card and then added some ephemera from AALL and Create.

This is a box of their stamps which I've also got out with the intention of using them soon.
You can just see some old cord towards the back there too.

Very old decorative papers I've actually been using so made a start on the theme too.

These are new to me but given to me by a friend at the club so need to use these too before they end up in the drawer!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday. Review of 2024.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some projects from last year.
I like to review my projects before getting started with the New Year.
Oh! and a little rest after Christmas. I think it's good to relax and put the Crafting on hold for a while and come back to it refreshed.

So today are some Masterboards.

Love using this technique for Masterboards they are so useful.
A tablespoon of water and washing up liquid. Stir and use a straw to create the bubbles then transfer them to a good quality watercolour paper.

Stencils next, always useful.

I love this water effect.

Hope you like it too.
This was one of my pop-up cards.
All the fish stamps above are by Kate Crane.

It's not obvious here but the star fish (not Kate crane) was stamped a second time and cut out and atached with sticky dots to give depth to the design.

Here it is again with more Kate Crane stamps.

And if you change your colours which can be easily done with a photo editing program you have a completely different design.

Added some die cut plants to this one.

The fish are stamped and the seahorse (by Lavinia stamps) too which I coloured with Tim Holtz pencils.

The die cut layered openings are by Memory Box and the jelly fish from Temu.
The background was a sheet of brown mottled card and I added a little more detail to it.
The jellifish were cut twise and the layered together.

I think that's enough for today.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela xXx

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Not much going on due to the sniffly cold, sorry if you've heard this before but it has been a bit on going.
French colds must be worse than the English ones!

I think I'm starting to feel a bit better but it's slow going.

I have had some company on my worst days.

I think I am just here to keep the dogs comfy actually.

The Arrows have been out and about again.
This is the full complement.

Not much else going on here so will finish with a few funnies. Hope to have more going on next week.

This is an appropriate one, think I'm number 7-8 at the moment.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW - 816 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

So here is my desk for today!
though still not much going on as I'm still full of cold and not feeling much like doing anything.
It's been a stinker!

But yesterday I felt a bit better and enough to plan my next move.
I am determined that this will be a year of "Use it or Lose it".

It's my birthday on the 25th of January which seems like a good time to make plans for the new year.

I've had these ephemera for ages and hardly used any so they are the first on the list for "Use it or Lose it".

I have a plan! that is when I feel in the mood to craft.

So that's me done for today.
Fingers crossed that something may have taken place here by next week.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Manic Monday Baby Journals.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you the final part of the baby journals and many thanks for those who have left me some very positive comments.

If you didn't see the earlier part of the journals you can find them here:
Click on the image for a larger view.

The papers are by Trimcraft.

There are lots to see here so I am not boring you with lots of words but if you have questions just leave them in your comments and I'll get back to you.

Girl pages

and boy pages to add special photographs.

Pockets to store memories.

The tags for writing down any important memories and thoughts.

A little bit of hidden surprises.

I had planned this journal for the babies first year so we needed a birthday cake to celebrate.

Which is tucked inside the card and when it's opened....

This die is so much fun.
 (Karen Burniston Pop up die).

Nice piece of ribbon to finish and now it's just waiting for the owner to fill it with beautiful memories.

And the spines all finished too.

Hope that didn't make you too tired.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.
