Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Things are getting back to normal though I am wondering where everything came from!

Really pleased with the new sky light, brilliant!

We made these cards at the Craft Club on Saturday, love them.
These were the samples above.

And these were the lovely cards made by the members.

This looks like an envelope but that's just the front of the card where there is a pocket for you to add a little note.

In the afternoon I made a few more of my pop up cards.

Been for a walk in the park too, lovely frosty day.

Swans looking well.

And the garden too.

I think someone needs to finish clearing away the leaves.....I THINK SOMEONE NEEDS TO CLEAR THE LEAVES!!!! No he's not listening!

Maisie and Stan enjoying a walk in the garden.

This was earlier in the week with the pond looking good with the sun shining on it.
There's no sign of the fish as they are all in the bottom which is just as well as the Heron has been flying over recently and landed on the next door neighbour's garage roof so pleased we're netted.

However this morning that awful bird was back sitting on the fence so I have now surrounded the edge with canes and string. In theory if he has no where to stand at the edge then he can't go fishing, fingers crossed.

Now who might this be Lol!, all kitted up for a walk in the park.

More of your favourites to finish the post.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

This is how I finished the card.

And the inside.

I actually made several masterboards while playing with this technique because when I started I couldn't stop it was so much fun.

It's another of those techniques that I used to do with children when I was teaching.

So this is how it's done.

I'm for ever blowing bubbles! Pretty bubbles in the air'!
Sorry just couldn't resist it.

You only need about a quarter of a cup of water as too much water will dilute the colours and then add a couple of teaspoons of washing up liquid depending on the strength of the liquid. You need this to create good bubbles.
You might want to practice with one colour to begin with but obviously you can make up several colours if you like.

You then need some liquid watercolour paint or inks, a pipette, watercolour paper and a straw.

I added about a teaspoon of ink and then the fun begins, just blow! and you should get lots of bubbles created.

Push the paper through the bubbles and then allow the paper to dry. this is why I ended up with so many sheets as I like to do another one while I wait for them to dry.

The first colours added to the paper will be quite faint but don't worry just keep building it up until you are happy with the depth of colour and pattern and of course you can always add more paint to the mix.

You should end up with something like this. I've added some purple to my colour too.

And I've finished with a card but this would make a great journal cover too.

Construction next.

Using AALL & Create stamp.

Just stamp roughly around the card blank using first and second generation stamping.

Then onto the Masterboards.

A small section was attached to the card blank and then I cut out pieces from the other  two using them to create a collage effect on the card.

Which is how I completed the design.

It's not easy to see but I finished by adding Stickles Glitter Glue to the front flower.

So that's your lot! and of course there's plenty of card left for the next project.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Friday Fun day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

A little decorating taking place so lost my desk again.
I have been busy but don't seem to have a lot to show for it though you wouldn't want to see some of it! as it wasn't all smiles I'm afraid though most of it got sorted.

Hopefully this lot will disappear soon and we can get our garden back.
Remains of the old conservatory roof.

I know it's not Christmas yet but thought I'd show you this. Bought it at the Gift Show on behalf of Marie Curie charity. I'm sure you'll agree, it's a beauty.

And finally to make you smile, more doggy type funnies.

Fortunately we don't have a dog this size thank goodness!

But we do have one that like to do this!

Not a long post today but probably best that way so you don't get bored with it all.
I am off to the Craft Club tomorrow so might have some nice pics for next week.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

So here is my desk for today!

Not really what you hoped to see I'm sure!
The room has been painted now so there is something happening.

But I did get chance to make some cards as I went to a friend's house for some crafty fun.
We finished some more pop up cards and I had managed to die cut a few pieces of card for toppers and baubles so we made these too.
They were happy so it's all good and I escaped the mess for a while.

I know a few of you will have seen these pics before as I posted them on my Friday Fun Day post and this little beauty too.
It is a desk so I'm allowing myself to include it and him, today.

He's a brilliant crafter, so interested in what's going on!
Sorry if you've seen him before but he so makes me smile.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Crafty Cardmakers 246 'No Patterned Paper'

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Monika is hosting today and our challenge is 'No Patterned Paper'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

This Masterboard was made on an A3 sheet of Kraft card. I added screwed up tissue paper, texture with a stencil and layers of paint which I knocked back with some Gesso added with a dry brush.

To construct the card I ripped away a small section of the Masterboard which reveals the Kraft card along the edge leaving about a third of the white card blank showing. Now that's a real popper!

I had a little play around with some Seth Apter die cut pieces, a large gold jigsaw piece and more of the Masterboard.

Once again I've brought in the 'Press and Seal'. I'm beginning to wonder how I managed without it, it certainly makes jobs like this easier.

Once the pieces are well attached to the 'Press and Seal' you can turn it over and add the glue, sticky dots or whatever you wish to use.

Turn everything over and place in position, attach and then carefully ease away the 'Press and Seal'.

Everything looks exactly the same as the original idea, no movement and no problem in trying to remember the plan or photographing it before hand which is what I used to do to ensure the design was in position which never quite ended up as planned.

A few additional gems, Tim Holtz die sentiment and some clear glaze and the card's complete.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.
