WOYWW - 563 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

More colour for the tube box and a bit more detail for the Tuxedo Easter card.

A couple of views for you.

Mainly because there's not much else going on today but it's a quick post just how we like it.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers - 252 Green.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Jackie is hosting today and our challenge is Green.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

This is similar to a card I made before in pink so it was nice to see how it would look with a different colour scheme.
If you would like to see it you can find it here:

The background papers were done with Distress Oxides and layered over this are die cuts by Altenew.
The stamps are by Woodware and I finished with green Stickles Glitter glue.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

First, what Maisie and Stan have been up  to!

It's a dogs life!
True comfort.

Then there was the park where they appear to have gone a bit mad.

They have chopped down loads of trees. It's just a shame they don't prune them when they need it then they wouldn't get out of hand and have to be removed.
I'm sorry to moan, I just hate to see trees being chopped down.

They've made a real mess of the grass too.

I have no idea what the plan is for the stumps.
There seems to be a squirrel stuck on the Island as he used to climb over the tree branches and now they are gone so I don't know what he will do. We could see him/her walking along the trees as though he was looking for some way to get back to the park.

The Willows look sad but they at least should grow back.

They haven't finished yet!

The dyke is quite high too.

Now I wonder if you can see the cat here?
A clue, he like the sun.

Not sure yet what I will do with this but it was going to be thrown away so I've adopted it. As yet it doesn't work but so what it looks nice!

And finally the funnies.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 561 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

I'm working on a new pop-up card and the tube boxes have had some work done to them but other than that there's not a lot happened because I was busy last week with parents, hairdressers, dentist, shopping. Cinema, just crazy how everything happens at the same time and that's without the normal stuff like housework......wash my mouth out Lol!

Since I saw you last I did paint the tube boxes with white Gesso and now I'm onto the colour.

I will just keep adding colour until I'm happy with it and then start with some wax.
Can you see that old wood mounted stamp? It's by Judi Kins and is still a favourite. The one at the back is a new Altenew stamp.

I'm also working on a Tuxedo pop-up box card for Easter.

And this side looks quite tidy but I was out all day Saturday at the Craft Club so didn't get much chance to mess the desk up really, yes last week was busy!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I so love these stamps by Aall and Create.

They are so quirky.

Unlike my usual masterboards this one is only A4 but will still make several cards.
I started by adding and blending some colour lightly around the edge and then heat embossed with clear powder using the flower stamps.

This technique is often called ghosting as you just see a faint image below the design.

The next thing was to add more colour.

Once you're happy with the colour, place a thin sheet of paper over the top and iron off the embossing which will melt when the heat is applied and be absorbed into the paper.

Now more fun stamping the flowers again using the same colours that I used for the blending.

To add a little more detail I splashed water over the design and dabbed it off which lifts some of the colour and then splashes of the distress Oxide refill bottle with a matching colour.

At this stage it's time to cut the A4 sheet into four pieces.

I so love these! Hope you do too.

And so to the cards, well one at the moment.

Layer up some matching card on the card blank and a little extra stamping on the masterboard piece and we're on our way!.

I used some more Aall and Create stamps on a piece of white card and then coloured these in.

I stamped the birds on the background so that I didn't have to cut out those tiny legs but also because I wanted one of the birds to look as though it was flying so I stamped the legs for this one at a different angle, think it worked?
I had stamped some other images but changed my mind a little so didn't use them this time but I'm sure they'll turn up again for one of the other cards.

By the way I chose to make the birds yellow and blue as we have lots of Blue Tits in the garden at the moment so it seemed like the obvious choice.

A few clouds, a couple of sentiments and a little bit of grounding and the card is complete.

When I looked at this card completed I thought it looked rather simple considering how much work went into making it but there you go!

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

More Cabin updates, managed to start organising the space a little.

Some useful corner desks have been fitted but the weather hasn't helped but we'll get there....well sooner or later!
The two sets of shelving are where I keep my old wood mounted stamps....I know I should have taken them off the wood but I still kind of like them as they are.

Two pampered dogs.
Stan just can't keep his jacket fastened, he's just like a scruffy little boy. Maisie on the other hand always looks smart and is able to keep her jacket in place at all times.

Took mum to her favourite eating place and they have Mother's Day cakes already, they look scrummy.
I've also been to see Emma at the cinema which was amusing and out with the girls for coffee oh! and the dentist for a check up, how exciting is that !

So on to the dog funnies.

Much more enjoyable I think.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
