WOYWW 270 # What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Angela here to show you "what's on my work desk this Wednesday"(WOYWW) and if you visit Julia you will have access to desks throughout the world, so hope you will hop over to the Stamping Ground and all will be revealed.

The tea bags Blogging Friends, that were in one of the red drawers last week, well I decided to use them in my journal and this is how I started, especially for Sandra de.
It looks a bit grotty at the moment but "you have to break some eggs to make an omelette" Lol!
This is going to be the background for a page based on Alice In Wonderland.

Sorry the desk is a bit untidy again but lots going on at the moment.

First spread the glue over the page and attached the empty teabags.

Next covered the teabags with Gesso and left to dry.

I wanted more texture so used my glue gun to develop lines.

This is were I am at the moment.
I have sponged on diluted Silks Acrylic Glaze and this one is called Yellow Rose.

I will be posting further instructions and the finished journal page during the week as I must not keep you too long, so..... off you go to check out what's going on at the other desks.

Go on off you go Lol!!
and thanks for stopping by.

Angela x

Angela, I did wonder when I first saw the teabags, but the page is loking really good now, keep at it, it is going to be great when it is finished.
Thanks for visiting me, I am 5'8" so don't often need to climb but just wanted the perspective this time.

Jeez. It took FOREVER for the comment box to pop up today! Good thing it eventually did so I can say I LOVE the teabag background and seeing the steps. Also happy to see a Masterboard back a post - you know I love them....

Happy WOYWW!

I am loving the background so far - it's so much more interesting to see the development of the work - the glue gun lines work so well, that's a brilliant idea, and I can't wait to see what you do next - I'm a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland!
Hope you have a great week,

I really like the interesting texture you are getting from the teabags. The glue lines you added in are pretty nifty too. Can't wait to see the finished Alice in Wonderland product. No pressure though! When it happens!

Hi Angela,
Sandra and I have had discussions about using tea bags before. Have you emptied them of the tea? I'm not sure. Will be watching to see how they progress :)
Thanks for dropping by earlier too :)

Not convinced about the t-bags, will hold off on a decision until i've seen the finished page. Love all your dog pictures on the side bar. We are without pets at the moment so it's nice to see what peoples pets are up to when blog hopping.

I have not used tea bags yet but have used the glue gun with silk acrylics which I really like as added texture. Looking forward to seeing the completed project! Diane #52

Oh Angela, what a fun page you have created and using tea bags literally too, I like how you did the sting effect with your glue gun and the final outcome with glaze just brilliant. Thanks for sharing.

Hugs Eliza & Yoda
Belated WOYWW greetings
Thanks for visiting already too.

I thought the tea bags were for colour not part of the texture! It's an interesting page for sure and really good to see the process develop. Be good to see the finished article sometime!
