There are many talented people in Blogland and what better way to meet them than with an introduction from a bloggy friend?
Well that's where a Creative Blog Tour comes in....
Ruth was kind enough to tag me in this on going, Creative Tour Blog Hop and I was delighted to be asked to be part of it.
Ruth is such a creative lady and it would be great if you would go over and check out her blog.
For this Blog Tour we have been asked to answer a few questions about ourselves to help you to get to know us a little better and here they are:
What Am I Working On?
This is difficult as I am rarely working on just one thing. I often find that when I start a project it fires up another idea and I have to stop and start it while the idea is fresh so I often have several things going at the same time.
However I always have a Masterboard on the go, greeting cards, tags and half made journal pages.
As it is Monday I am working with this Masterboard to create a mini journal.
This is were I am up to at the moment.
And a half made journal page that I hope to complete soon, there are always several of these, half made and waiting for completion.
How does my work differ from others of it's genre?
This is an interesting question, I hope that when someone looks at my work that they are able to see I have made it, in other words that the style is my own even though I may be inspired by others I hope my projects are different.
Why do I write/create what I do?
I have created all my life and feel very lucky to have been able to teach Textiles and Art for 33 years before retiring. So why do I create? because I cannot stop Lol! it's part of my life.
How does your writing/creative process work?
Mmmm..... interesting... I get inspiration from all over the place, from other crafters; magazines; artists; favourite colours; family photos, poems; old artifacts I find; interesting objects; all kinds of things.
At this stage I usually rummage through my crafty stash to find paper, card, ribbons, embellishments, inks paint and generally anything to get my mind working in the right direction.
I usually lay these out and after some thought try to reduce the massive pile of stuff which has inevitably ended up on the table or possibly the floor depending on the size of the pile LOL!
Depending on what I plan to make, I tend to start by preparing the materials whilst still going through in my head where the project might take me and it's usually at this stage that I think of other things and have to stop and start something else! before coming back to the original thing and then hopefully work towards completion.
During the short time that I have been blogging I have got to know many talented people with the most inspiring blogs. Though it is difficult to pick out my favourites there are some who I go back to again and again, one in particular is Redanne not only a very talented lady but a very kind one too. I have included a link to her blog should you wish to pop over and say hello.
I hope you have enjoyed my part in this Creative Blog Tour and maybe you will call again some time.
Have a good week and happy crafting,
Angela x
