Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hope you are all happy this Friday and had a good Christmas.

This is not a very good photograph I am showing you today but it certainly made me smile as I had no idea until recently that we had Kingfishers in the park.

I did the best I could with this photograph but he was some distance away when I took it and my little camera isn't really designed for these type of photographs.
I thought I was seeing things at first when I saw his bright colour in the distance and then he moved and I knew it had to be a Kingfisher!

This is what I saw first!

So I hope this makes you smile as much as it did me.

Thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too if you like.

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela x

Oh wow Angela, yes that really did make me smile. I have vivid memories of seeing my first kingfisher and it's a memory that stays with you for life isn't it? They are such a beautiful little bird. Thanks for sharing.

Hi again Angela. Yes your kingfisher did make me smile. The first time I saw one was when I was sitting at the front of a narrow boat going along the canal some years ago. I was surprised at how small they were. I'd always imagined they were much larger birds.

I'm off up my cabin now to craft and have feeders and a bird table outside the window. We get lots of goldfinches. I love to watch the birds.

I've never seen or even heard of a kingfisher before, so seeing one, even if in photos was a true joy. Loved it, so of course, it made me smile. Happy Friday and a great beginning to the weekend, too.

Well I'm pretty impressed actually, it's super hard to capture a bird on camera!! I've aimed my lens at many a bird and ended up with a coloured smudge on a branch!! Beautiful shot Angela! hugs :)

It certainly made me smile Angela, we have one on the pond next to our house but they are so illusive that we only seem him occasionally. Always a real treat though! Anne xx

What a great photograph! The other day we had about 6 male cardinals in our backyard moving too quickly to get a photo. So glad you were able to get that photo. Thanks for stopping by earlier. 58
