Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Two new cards this week and fairly quick to make too!

You may remember I showed you these backgrounds last week which were used to make the cards above. The background piece is Distress Oxides swiped from my craft mat.

The top layer was sprayed using Prima Color Bloom sprays and die cut using Tim Holtz Thinlits Dies.
Although the difference in the two pieces is quite delicate I like the idea of using two different techniques.

I stamped and die cut more butterflies.
Enough here for a few cards.

And here is a close-up of one of them. The top is vellum which I finished with a little stickles glitter glue and colours pearls on the corners.

Love these Thinlits dies, the patterns are so good and they cut so well too.

The next is one of the newer dies by Tim and the stamped sentiment by Woodware.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week though not a lot really as I've had a head cold which has slowed me down a bit.

Can you see who that is in the distance?

She is a little madam who thinks she owns the garden.
 Bit closer!

And closer! She still hasn't noticed I'm here.

Don't know what she has done with her eyebrows!

Up she comes, think she just saw me watching her!
Cheeky girl!

This was before they went for their hair cut which is why she looks a bit untidy.
And Stan.... well he doesn't notice anything or care anyway.

This was supposed to be a walk on Wednesday which ended up with us sitting in the garden centre drinking coffee and eating scones though I must say they were rather nice and great to just relax and chat.

Don't know what it was like at yours on Wednesday but it rained here so walking was not a good option, maybe another day but we enjoyed it anyway.

Other than that I found this chap the other day and looked up what he was.
This is a burying beetle or Sexton so called because they dig soil from under small dead birds and mammals and then lay their eggs on the corpse. Bet you wanted to know that Right!

 The park is still busy.

See the chip in the fountain bowl.
Well now it's gone as they have been doing some work there this week.

This has nothing to do with the renovation, I just like this tree.

Work is going on round the bandstand too.

 Well that is it really.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Back to The Craft Barn with "Wouldn't it be lovely".

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi everyone just here to let you know this is another project for the Craft Barn and it's now live.

I've been working with Colour Bloom Sprays, Kim Dellow stamps by Paper Artsy, Tim Holtz stencils and some Kaisercraft Flourishes to finish it off.
Here is a peek of how I used them.

If you would like full details of how I made this card then pop over to The Craft Barn.

The flowers and the butterfly were made using one of my Masterboards.

Nice stamps!

The tutorial for making this project is available now at The Craft Barn.

I would love to hear what you think about my project and any comments will be gratefully received.

Look forward to seeing you at The Craft Barn.

Happy crafting,

Angela xXx

WOYWW#425 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Lots of dies in the exploding box today from an earlier project and the Oxide inks stacked up just to the side of it as I've been using those quite a lot recently.

I'm in the middle of making a Mini Art Journal which is what you can see clipped together.

The card on the left is one I featured on Monday and information on how I made it can be found Here.

Other than that everything is pretty much the same as last week and my next job has got to be the grand tidy up!

So that's me done for today, really quick.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off to see what everyone else is up to as soon as I get back from my walk with the girls, weather permitting.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with these background papers which I made by pulling the card through Distress Oxide inks, applied to my craft mat and sprayed with water:

I embellished the butterfly with matching gems.

I haven't used many spray inks recently so decided to colour some additional card with Prima Color Bloom sprays and then die cut it using a Tim Holtz Thinlits die.

I cut this so that it would be slightly smaller than the background and stamped the sentiment.

I really like this as you can see the colours below and the sprayed section works really well with it.

I am not normally a big lover of yellow but I had this butterfly from an earlier project which I had made using one of Tim Holtz stamps and dies. The top section is vellum which has been heat embossed with yellow embossing powder.

I have started some more similar cards but they will follow another time.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

On Saturday I went to another Craft Show at The Doncaster Racecourse!
Now I believed that there really wasn't much that I needed but it would be nice to just have a wonder round, see what was new that sort of thing .... well I just had to buy one or two things so naturally this was a fun day for me Lol!
And here are the things I came home with.

I wont bore you with lots of photos as most of you saw close-up on Wednesday here.

Create and Craft were there doing their thing.

And the show was quite busy too.

Hels was there doing a class make and take.

Spent some time in the café talking to some lovely ladies which was nice.

I've also been in the park walking dogs.
The cygnets are getting bigger than ever and starting to moult and are gradually getting their white feathers.

Look how big they are! Have they grown or what!!!

Photographed these little mushroom/toadstools.
Unusual colour.

And finally I had to show you this which I am sure will make you smile.
Can you see what's going on here?

This is Stanley who was watching me feed the fish only now he has decided he also likes fish food and has worked out how to flip the lid off!

This is not for dogs and I have told him this but he doesn't seem to listen!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW #424 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

But not exactly as these were the things I brought back from Doncaster Craft Show but thought you might like to see them before I put them away.

Stencils.

Dies.

Stamps.

So this is actually how it is today.

A new gadget from The Craft Barn should be fun!
And some cards I am working on.
Tim Holtz Thinlits dies just on the left which I am about to use and the Distress Oxides on the right there.

This is something I've been playing with which is resting in the 'Exploding Box', new stamps by JOFY (Paper Artsy) and I've been colouring them with some US Art Quest interference Colors which are Mica Watercolour paints though it's not clear from this photograph.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - Lots of layers.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Chanya is hosting today and our challenge is Lots of Layers.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

My layers have been created using stencils and stamps.

This gives some idea of how I built the layers for this card.
Carabelle stencils, stamp and Distress black ink.

Followed by Carabelle stencil and Distress Oxide inks.
Then Kaisercraft stamps.

And there you have it!

I finished it with some pearl gems.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.
