Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Another left-over from an earlier project which started off as a pink A3 sheet of card, coloured with Distress Oxides and some light stencilling until I added the crackle glaze.

The stencil is 'Large Holes' by Dylusions.

At this stage I stamped some birds by 'darkroom door' called  'Carved Birds Vol 1'.

Not sure what colours to use so stamped a few in different ones and heat embossed with clear powder by WoW.

And this is where we ended up.

Cut the Masterboard to size and using the Faux Stitch stamp: 'Stitches and Dots' by crescendo create the border.
Cut out the birds and attach to the masterboard.

The text is by Sizzix Thinlits. I cut this in black and white and then overlapped them to create a shadow and attached this to a black DL card.

Then completed the card by adding black gems to the corners and the eye of the largest bird.

I couldn't resist adding one of the birds to the inside and the sentiment is by Inkylicious 'Be Whatever'.

Still have some of this Masterboard left so you can expect to see more cards made soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It was just so hot we decided to go to the coast again and popped into the Royal Hotel near Skegness and they were cleaning the chandelier in the entrance ready for the visitors to arrive.
.

As  it was the last day before the children broke up for the summer it was a little quieter so we had a walk round with the dogs probably the last time until school restarts for the autumn.
I've seen this chandelier many times but never this close up, it's massive.

We sat outside in the garden drinking coffee and it was lovely and quiet but I bet it's not now Lol!

Also had a walk down toward the town and found this which is new from last year.
I imagine the view will be lovely at the top but as we had Maisie and Stan with us it will have to wait.

Found this too in the Hotel.

He is so sweet.
Rock painting and hiding is getting very popular around the UK.

Back at home we have had some regular visitors to the pond.

And Maisie has found yet another cool place (if there is such a thing!) where she can rest.
She's in the dining room.
By the way all those bottles are not mine. I am pretty boring really as I hardly drink any alcohol at all but that can't be said for everyone Lol! and it's not Maisie and Stan either!

Found these in the Park.

Brought them home but will be re-hiding them soon.

Glow in the dark pebbles.

Another favourite place for Maisie though she seems to be giving me the eye, probably because I am disturbing her.

So that's it for now.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW # 477 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I have a few different things today.

Been doing some pebble painting again.

Can you guess what they will end up looking like?
I will of course photograph them for you to see when completed.

I've been sealing the pebbles with Gesso then painting them with Dylusions Acrylic paint.

So that's me done for today it's just been so hot that I really haven't done very much crafting but at least the paint dries quickly.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela xXx

Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I showed one of these a couple of weeks ago and everyone liked it so I have another one made in a similar way.

Using Brushos, Infusions and Pixie Powders.

Then I mopped it up with this:

Which then became this by attaching it to a 6x6 card blank.

The centre die is by Clarity stamps and the border by Crea-Nest-Lies. I finished this off with the bow, Tim Holtz sentiment and Stickles glitter glue.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I had a nice Saturday at The Doncaster Racecourse Crafting Live Show.

Sat outside on the stands to get a little fresh air, lovely.

Phill Martin doing his thing for Sentimentally Yours.

Plenty of nice samples to see.

Create and Craft were there too.

And lots of Make and Takes.

Back at home.

My beautiful Vanda Orchid is flowering again.

How beautiful is that.

Swans in the park enjoying the duck weed.

Prep for some more pebble painting.

A rather different view of the pond.
Something has appeared which I did not plant and was quite a surprise when I noticed it the other day.

And a close-up.

And finally, Maisie.
By the time you see this she will have been for a hair cut but why she finds this spot a comfy place, I cannot imagine.
She pushed herself between the computer table and the chair!

So that's my week.
Hope you found a few things to make you smile.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

So here is my desk for today!

I went to the Doncaster Racecourse at the weekend and I just knew you would want to see what new goodies I bought so here they are.

Some Paper Artsy stamps and stencils. Aall & Create stencil and Visible Image too.
I liked the MDF stars though not quite sure what I'm going to use them for yet.

The Bombay store was there too and couldn't resist some nice pieces from them too.

Not really much else to show you as it's just been so hot.

Did make a card which you might like for the Crafty Cardmakers.

So that's me done for today.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge Holidays/Vacations.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in and here is my project for the challenge.

June is hosting to day and our challenge is Holidays/Vacations.

I started with a collection of papers that I had coloured earlier with Distress Oxides.

Once I chose the paper for the background I stamped and heat embossed the background using Tim Holtz stamps and a text stamp by Stampendous.

The next stage was to die cut the Tim Holtz globe which I did using Craft Card.

I also cut another globe using one of the coloured papers which were trimmed to retain the landmass which was glued to the craft card globe.

Following that I cut up the mats needed to complete the card using Plain colours that match with the Oxides.

I still have this left over from the A3 Masterboard so can easily make another card with this.

To complete the card I used one of Tim Holtz bird stamp and matching die and the small birds and sentiments are Tim Holtz too.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.
