Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

The stamps are by Paper Artsy and I've used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks by stamping several times around the card without adding more ink to the stamp which gives a nice depth to the same colour.

Depending on how you cut the masterboard you can make lots of cards with this one piece and if you scan it first you can keep the original for later use.

Once the Masterboard is completed you can make some really quick cards which is so important the closer we get to that special day!

And here is one of the samples I made.

The greeting was from the same release as those used on the Masterboard and the fairy lights from an older set.
I've layered everything with matching coloured card and added Stickles glitter glue to the fairy lights.

I'm sure you will have noticed the postage stamp and if you live in the UK you may remember it.
I am a bit obsessed at collecting old stamps and thought it was time to do something with them.
I think this works really well and hope you do too.

I stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut a few of the leaves to add to the postage stamp to make it appear more a part of the design.

The numbers were fussy cut and heat embossed too before being attached.

Hope you like it and many thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
Plenty of gardening still taking place, mostly leaf collection. It has cooled down this week too.

Still lots of leaves to fall yet and it will be good when they've finished.

Thought you might like to see what is going on over the fence.

You may wonder what the white barrier is.
Considering they said that the flood level here is only 1. they have built this barrier as the other side of this land has standing water all the time which overflows at times.
I really am wondering what the council are thinking of and where else they will build houses next!

This photograph gives more idea of the distance the building is from us. You can just see the fence in the bottom right corner.
We shall watch what happens here with interest.

Park walk continues and it's looking very pretty in the sun.

Still no change here, the pavement work continues.

The toadstools continue to get bigger.

There are Toadstools and mushrooms all over the park.
I really like this little group.

While you are reading this I will be with a group of friends making Christmas cards but if I don't get to see you before starting, I will be round to check on you all this evening.

Maisie and Stan of course don't care what's going on out there as long as they have somewhere cosy for their afternoon nap.

They say that you might enjoy these taken from their doggy bible.

Sounds like Stan!

Probably Stan again!

More like Maisie though she prefers scratching at stuff.

That's dogs for you!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 651 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

About a quarter of it is tidy.........well there is a small space to work at least!

Nothing much different there then!

The Paper Artsy stamps are some I've had for a very long time but the Tim Holtz die is a new one, not even been out of the packet yet.

Now that really is about to explode!
The Artistic Stamper stamps are new too and the little boxes are holding some die cut pieces ready for my friends on Friday when we're having a day making C. cards.
The roll that is just visible is some red net, it's more visible on the first photo.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

You may remember that I showed this a couple of weeks ago and meant to make some cards with it until I got distracted so I apologise for these being later than expected.

This was made with layering stamps and dies by Altenew and Tim Holtz distress Oxides.

I've used the black and white Masterboard for the background; layered with red card.
I applied some black Stickles glitter glue and left it to dry before adding a strip of the red card down the center and layered this with a piece of the red Masterboard.

To complete the design I've added gold Stickeles glitter glue to the diecut flowers and attached gold cord before attaching the flowers to the card.

And a sentiment and gold snowflakes.
A few small embellishements can make all the difference.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
But not really much to show you really as we've either been busy with stuff for mum or gardening and crafting.

I did have a look over the fence to see what the workmen where up to and in the distance was a small red spot.

A close-up showed it was children building themselves a den. They were definitely having fun.

This however broke the week up a little when a friend asked if I would like to join her for a day out.
This is Meadowhall near Sheffield and it looks as though Christmas has started already.

One of my favourite shops and they do not sell sewing machines but collect them.

My mum got this little chap out so she obviously thinks Christmas is on the way too.

Of course there have been walks in the park too.

The trees look so colourful at this time of the year but will soon be leafless.

Not much else happened this week really so I'll finish here with a few dog funnies.

Somebody around here know dogs!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW - 650 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Christmas cards, MDF and new watercolour paints! what will be next!

Think I've made about 30 C. cards now but a few more to go and in between that I've been working on this little box from the Creative Craft Academy.
The stack of little boxes with red lids are bits and pieces to complete the Christmas cards.

The box in the center of the desk is the new watercolour set.

This side is exciting as you can see! Baby wipes very necessary! and the boxes hold some gliding flakes.
Everything else looks more or less the same.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Mistletoe Clean and Simple.
This was done with stamps from a variety of different companies including some that came as freebies from magazines.

Close-up shows the detail.

I've die cut a section of the Masterboard and layered it with green metallic card which I think makes the design stand out really well.

I sized the main piece to fit the card blank and then added both dies to cut the layering pieces.
Cutting both pieces at the same time helps with the positioning.

The green card is die cut slightly bigger than the patterned pieces and everything is put back in place ready to be attached to the card blank.
Stamp the sentiment and then glue everything down.

I've finished the card by adding Stickles Glitter glue to the berries.

And this is a second card done in the same way.
Once the Masterboards are completed this is a fairly quick card to make.
I do scan some Masterboards so that I can use them again which is a good idea if you have a lot of Christmas cards to make.

Hope you like it and I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

As you will all be aware it's remembrance Sunday this week and they are painting these gorgeous poppies on the roundabouts in Lincolnshire.
How lovely they are.

Now I did have some fish food in the pot, where could it have gone!

Maisie!!!!

And a few photographs in the park.

The cygnets are growing up fast now.

And the other day we found all this in the park.

I managed to find a little space to see they are relaying the path by the look of it.

The moles have been very active this week as you can see here.

Some lovely sunny autumn days for our walk too.

And a few funnies to leave you with.

Not too long a post which I'm sure you will be pleased about.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
