Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I had to show you these.

the photographs were sent to me by a friend who lives in France when she visited a museum in Lyon.

They are so well made.

And this beauty she found in a gift shop, love it.

I'm still busy working on the Baby journals.

And something here to make you smile.

Just look at that face, absolute comfort!
It may not be obvious but he has rearranged the cushions too, one of which he is perched on.
Does this house really belong to me anymore or is it just the dog's home?

Wednesday went to pick up the Christmas cake and visit a few friends who live near Stamford.

Not a brilliant photo but this was Bourne town centre all lit up for Christmas.

And photographed this as we were waiting for the lights to change.

Very pretty.

And a few Christmas dog funnies too.

So cute.

Schnauzers having fun!

And wishing you all a Merry Christmas.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Still working on the Baby Journals.

Covers finished this week.

These are the papers I'm using by Trimcraft to make the pages.

They are quite old but some still available, great value and love the designs.

Sorry it's not very exciting yet but should get some inner pages completed by next week.

If you need to know how the covers were done the details are on my Monday post here:

So that's me done for today.

Just realised that next Wednesday will be Christmas day so guessing there wont be much crafting going on and hope you all have a great day.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Manic Monday Baby Journal.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Still Manic here but got a bit further with the baby journals.

I'm working on both journal covers today to join the front, centre and back pieces.

The white pieces are strips of Tyvek.
I use up Tyvek envelopes for this that come through the post though you can buy it in pieces too but "waste not want not" as they say and better than binning it.
Tyvek is very strong if you're not familiar with it but easy to cut. It will not stretch or go out of shape so ideal for spines on books.

I've cut the strips to fit and covered it with score-tape either side of the fold line.

Attach to one side and then ensure the cover pieces are pushed well together and then stick that side too. Press the tape down well to ensure it's secure.
Important tip - don't touch the tape with you fingers as this can prevent it sticking firmly.

Next cut some strips of matching coloured card.

Cover with score tape and attach to the Tyvek.

This will cover the Tyvek so that it can't be seen.

Nice and neat?

Attaching the pages next.

Cut to size allowing half an inch extra to make the fold and add the Score-tape.
I attached the first page 1/2" in from the fold line to allow room for a mini book to be added.

Fold the page towards the left ready to attach the next page pushing each one up to the one in front of it and continue till all pages are attached.

And we're all ready for the next stage.
It's really startting to come to life now.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela xXx

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I've spent most of this week making baby journals that have to be ready for February but still loads to do.

But did manage to go to the garden centre for some new boots.
Sorry forgot to photo them.

I might have shown you this before but I do love it.

It looks quiet here because everyone was in the cafe, it was packed out.
I think the grannies are making the most of it before the children break up next week for Christmas.

We saw this guy the other day in the park, just hope he stays there and doesn't fly over to our pond!

Thought you might like this, my friend sent me this photo but no samples sadly.
It's somewhere in Budapest apparently.

Better stop there as we have to go out but I'll be back later to see what everyone's up to.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW - 810 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

I wonder if you can guess what's going on here?

You may have guessed by now that I'm making baby journals.

Started two Baby journals as my friend's daughter will be having a baby in the new year so better get my finger out as I don't know if it will be a girl or a boy!

If you were around on Monday you might have seen the first stages being completed.

So that's me done for today, better get on......well after I've had a nosey at what you're all up to.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Manic Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you what I will be up to for the next few weeks which may mean fewer Masterboards for a while:
This next photograph may give you some idea of why I will be busy with other stuff.

I have two of these one for a boy and one for a girl by Trimcraft.

My friend will be having a baby in the new year but I have no idea what it will be, a boy or a girl so two baby journals will have to be made.
I should have started this earlier but Christmas cards got in the way!

I have made these before but some time ago so hoping they will look like these.......well near enough!

I'm starting here today by prepping the covers. The Greyboard is 8 1/4" square and the spine
8 1/4" x 3 1/2" covered with a Linen texture card measuring 9 3/4" for the main piece and 5" x 9 3/4" for the spine.

Place the Greyboard on the texture card and

crease the edges inward then cut the corners just above the fold which helps the card to fold neatly without extra weight in the corners.

Then check the fold and extra creasing with a bone folder if necessary.

The next stage is the front of the Greyboard.

You need the best double sided tape available and I've used Scor-Pal Tape for this but you could use wet glue too.

Attach this to the coloured card and then tape to the back edges of the Greyboard.

When you fold the sides press firmly on the corners to ensure a good crease.

Not long to wait for the next stage.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Saturday saw us back at the Craft and Chat club, last one before Christmas.

Here is my friend Jan showing everyone how to make the cards.

And so to work.

I love these cards they are so much fun to make and easy too.

How cute is this!

Not everyone made Christmas cards which shows how versatile this style is.

Love them.

Better move on.

Food shopping on Sunday though I'm sure you know all about that.

Monday went into town to pick up my bracelet that needed soldering.

Everybody is getting ready for Christmas.

I wonder how many UK cities have barges parked along the city shops. You might find more in other countries.

This was actually friday last week when I went to the hairdressers.

Thursday met up with some old friends for fun and coffee but forgot to photograph, too much gossip going on!

Today while you are reading this I am taking Alfie and Daisy for a haircut. It may not be the best time of the year to cut their hair but Schnauzers don't molt so need a hair cut ever few months and they have warm coats to wear when we go out.

And I guess that's it really so we'll finish with some funnies.

So loving though they can be naughty just like kids but we forgive them right!

I can't stand the tearful eyes and dirty looks when you don't.

Animals know when you love them for sure.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
