So here is my desk for today!

Not very exciting as I'm still working on more of the same Christmas cards.

I did post them here on Monday but if you haven't seen them here is an example.

Still need to make a few more cards but I think it's time to move on to something different so we'll see.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

You may remember these from last week.

The Poinsettia Stamps are by 2 Red Robins and I've cut these ready to attach to the cards.

The next job is to apply some colour in the corner of the card blank using a blending tool and then stamp the poinsettia over them and add a sentiment
by Lou Withers and the fairy lights by Stampotique.
The stamped poinsettias give a bit more depth when you apply the fussy cut pieces.

And here is one of the completed cards. I've added the fussy cut stamped images, green poinsettia first and then the red one.
Try to arrange them uneavenly to maker them more interesting.

To finish the card I added Yellow Stickles Glitter Glue to the fairy lights and the flower stamens.

You can see here that I've made quite a few but still need more. It's not something I usually do but Christmas requires Batch making cards to get enough completed.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been a quiet week here....not that I'm complaining and wasn't sure if I would have anything to show you but Alfie's here to welcome you.

I think he had decided the Laptop was taking up too much of my time so he decided to sit next to it to distract me.

He didn't seem to understand why I wanted him to shift! but oh that face!

We were back in the conservatory on Wednesday and what a lovely day it was though very chilly.

I think that is a real autumnal day.

My friends who were making Christmas cards with me last week gave me these lovely flowers.

And these beautiies are the new Postbox art. They are so cleverly done.

I love them so much that I photographed them at different angles to give you a good view of them.

Who ever makes these is very talented, they are beautiful.

Just a few dog funnies to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with these Masterboards:

Started by applying Distress Oxide to the glass mat, sprayed with water and pulled the colour using an A3 white card. I dried this and then added more colour until satisfied with the finish.

I stamped the poinsettia over the page.

And again on a sheet of green.

The close-up shows the detail better.

The next job was to fussy cut these.
I like to do this while watching TV.

And then prepare the card blank with a small amount of matching colours and stamping before adding the fussy cut flowers but you will have to wait until next week to see that Lol!

Hope you like it so far and by all means leave me a comment.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Saturday was Craft Club day again and we were making these Cascading Pleat cards with instructions from Paula one of ther club members.

This is one I made and yes that's me that you can just see at the back.

If you like this card I have included some instructions here:

and a few more samples by other memebers of the club.

In between getting ready to make Christmas cards with some old friends I've been walking the dogs in the park.
Red Arrows are out most days as they are back home and practicing ready for their new season.

Also in the park more mushrooms to help me with my felting ideas.

Back home Alfie needs to keep his eye on what's going on in the garden.

And no wonder look who is back.

The Muntjac was in the garden just down from us they are so cheeky.
This part of the country has many of these small deer, they get everywhere and as they have no predator here they continue to increase in numbers.

Yesterday was friend's craft day and here are just a few of what they made.

Well done ladies.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

Tomorrow is the day that I'm taking the class for my friends so most of my time has been taken up with that but I did make a post on Monday as some friends had asked how the fold card was made that I showed you last week and if you're one of them the instructions are here:

And here is my desk for today!

So that's me done for today.

Busy now stamping some card to make my own C. Cards.

Stamping Poinsettias on this smooshed card and you'll get to see more soon.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Manic Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Christmas will be here before we know it so C. cards are now my priority.
Fold cards have been something I've really got into this year and I posted this card here last week and some of my friends have been asking how it's made so today I have the instructions for you.

This is called a Cascading Pleat Card.

It can be made with either two A4 sheets of card or one 12"x12" sheet.

For mine I've used A4 and you need to start by cutting along the length at 5 1/2" then put the small piece on one side for later.

The next stage is to score along the length starting on the left at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5 1/4" and 7".
Measure to 11" this end piece should measure 4" from the last score line.
Cut off the small strip at the end, don't throw this away as you will use it soon.

Take the small strip and fold it into three, this will be used to measure the Cascading pleats.

Place the strip on the second score line from the right and mark ready to cut.

Place the strip on the last (fourth) score line as shown here and mark it.

When all the marks are ready start the cutting from the short end straight to the first score line from the left then upwards on the diagonal to the second score line, straight to the third score line and then diagonal to the fourth one.
It will look like the card above.

You are then ready to cut the pages to fit each of the folds.
They will be 4" wide but it's best to measure the height as they can differ slightly.

Cut both of these and then decorate as you wish before attaching them to the card folds.

I have layered the decorative papers with a second layer but try not to use anything too thick or it may not close flat.
Finished mine with Stickles Glitter glue and a peal off sticker.

Hope you enjoyed watching me make these.

If you were wondering these papers are by Crafter's Companion.

Happy creative week
and
many thanks for stopping by.
