Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

 Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

We've been out in the garden quite a lot this week as the weather has been quite good.

The apple trees are flowering but this Coxes is not so active this year but we'll see.

The Braburn is doing better.

The Camellia flowers are looking good.

Blue bells and white bells popping up.

These little flowers are very sweet too but not sure what they are.

The Bonsai are looking happy again but we might need some repotting this year.

In the park Mr swan decided to go walk about.

And the workers are making a landing pad.

Blue bells in the park too.

Most of the workmen and their machinery has gone now and they are starting to clear away the rubbish.

Obviously cannot leave you without a few dog funnies so here goes.

WOYWW -623-What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Hi Workdesk friends. 
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk. 
I am here again to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!

I've been working on the Clothes Peg this week or Pin for our American friends.

So there are lots of pastes and paint hanging around but don't worry I have the ATCs finished too, they're hiding on the desk somewhere!

I think they're in the plastic box on the left. 

In case you wondered the pretty little tin with the flower pattern holds my charcoal pencils and the tub next to it is Grunge paste which is one of my favourite mediums.

Using some moulded pieces and a stencil by Finnabair.

I know that some of you were interested to see how I used the stamps from last week 

and you can find two of the finished cards here: hope you like them.

So that's me done for today. Looking forward to the swap next week.

Masterboard Monday - Use it or Lose it.

  Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with some left-over Masterboard and the new stamp set by Lisa Horton:

This looked like a good chance to get out those left-over papers again.

I started by stamping the bottles on Vellum and heat embossing them. 

I've cut a small slit in the background paper so that the bottle could be placed into the water giving the effect of the waves splashing around it.

The background to this card was a piece that I had coloured with some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray but it ended up in the scrap box and this looked like a good time to get it out.

I used the stencil that comes with the set to create the waves applying ink first and then Mixed media Galaxy Souffle by Craft Box.

The little fish were cut using a die set by Marianne Craftables on another sprayed paper this time it was Cosmic Shimmer Mica spray. 

I just find it difficult to throw these papers away but need to have a clear out so it's 'use it or loose it'!

Both the stars and the sentiment are in the set too.

Of course I had another play with this set but this time started by stamping directly onto the card blank. 

I turned the bottles over and coloured the cork with a dark brown alcohol ink pen.

The rolled up letters were tied with black cotton and left loose so they can move around.

I used Tombow glue just around the edge of the bottles and on the back of the cork and glued them down. I like the Tombow glue as it dries clear so works well with the Vellum.

The rope stamp was from a different set but works really well here as a finishing touch.

Finally I added the small shiny gems.

I love the vellum on a design like this as the background shows through. 

I have also added a small amount of Stickles Glitter Glue on the bottles to give the impression of the sparkle as the waves touch the glass.

There are far more stamps in this set than I've used today so I'm sure they will appear again soon.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This week has been pretty normal really but normal is good.

Visiting mum to take here food and do the housework and some crafty stuff too obviously.

We have been having a regular visitor this week.

He/she has been enjoying the waterfall on the pond.

These were gorgeous but it's difficult to see how big they actually are here but they are whoppers though obviously not English.

The Blue Tits are back and busy in their box.

The week was fairly quiet until Thursday when we went for our second Vaccine

now that's a pretty sight to see two badges.

Then we called in at the Polling station to vote

and took Maisie to the vet as she's been walking a bit stiff and it looks like Arthritis but we have to wait for the results of the blood test to see what we can give her.

And that's it really unless you want to see me putting the washing out as we've had a few nice days though cold too.

But I don't want to leave you without a smile so here goes.

We saw one of these at the Vet's Lol!

I think our two dogs definitely went to this school.

WOYWW -622- What's On ypour Workdesk Wednesday.

Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.

So here is my desk for today!

The desk is looking quite tidy, as I was ready to start a new project I needed some space so had a bit of a tidying up session.

The stamps on the desk are a set by Lisa Horton and were included in Creative Stamping Magazine #95.

The wooden thing is a very large peg which I've had in my stash for years and thought it was time I did something with it so we'll see.

There are a couple of metal steampunk Airships and the box holds all the equipment that I use regularly.

The red things to the right are some old red rubber stamps which I might get round to using soon.

These stamp really well and this is on vellum which can be tricky at times.

These have stamped nice and clear.

So that's me done for today.

Masterboard Monday - Use it or Lose it.

  Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Not very exciting I'm sure you'll agree which is probably why it's been left-over and it's smaller than the ones I normally make.

However!

Take a stencil, stamps, an ink of your choice and a little pencil shading and suddenly you have something far more interesting.

I've also used some AALL and Create animal stamps though I know there are far more here than I will need today so expect to see them again.

And so to the card.

The background is a text paper that was lying around, no idea how old it is and I mounted that onto a coloured card.

All the stamps here are by AALL and Create and I finished the design with some Stickles Glitter Glue.

Bet you can see something hiding inside.

I couldn't resist it so so added one of the puppies to the inside of the card but as yet no sentiment as I'm not sure yet who this will be for.
