WOYWW #508 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I'm thinking that little tub on the left might explode soon so need to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

A few close-ups to show you what I've been up to recently. This little box was made at the weekend when I went to our monthly Craft Club.

That is the pattern for the box that you can see here.

We also made a card that I hadn't done before and I'm having a go at making another.

It's a clever little design that uses one piece of card to make the main part of the card as it's cut and twisted to get the shape.

So that's where I'm up to at the moment.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 228 - Flowers

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Kim is hosting today and our challenge is Flowers.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

Some of you may remember me making this Masterboard using Bleeding Tissue. Details can be found here.

I've used Paper Artsy stamps for this card.

Started by stamping the vase.

And embossed the vase.

Then rubbed over the embossing with a thin layer of black ink to make the texture stand out.

Next, cutting out the Kraft card layer.

Which I attached to a section of the Masterboard.

And then stamped the chosen flowers, first onto the Kraft card layer and then onto a separate piece of the Masterboard.

Fussy cut the stamped flowers and attach them to the stamped stems and then the vase.

I have added a little shadow with a blending tool using black ink to ground the vase.

Finally added a sentiment, Stickles Glitter Glue and gems to complete the design.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week though mostly nothing very exciting however my favourite thing that has to make you smile must be these beauties!

I took my mum out for a meal this week and just had to show you these.

I think we will have to go back and just have the dessert as I can never manage one after lunch.

Now they have to make you smile.

I showed you the top of this lamp a few weeks ago and thought you might like to see the rest of it as the stem and base are so pretty too.

You also get to see my lizard and some pieces I brought back from Egypt.

I tried to get some interest from Maisie and Stan but they are just too tired Lol!

Maisie did lift her head for a second!

So that's it really!

No gym today so off to walk the dogs and will be round to see you all later.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW # 507 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Been working on a new Masterboard and the card blank towards the back.

I have no idea at the moment where this is going Lol!

New stuff!

Can't wait to get my hands round those beauties.

Thank you to the crazy people who joined in with the Spot the Difference silliness last week.
As far as I could tell it was just the orange scissors that moved and the little brown book and a stamp that appeared.
Anything on the actual work area doesn't count Lol! Sorry there's no prize for the winner but it was fun reading your answers.
I love you all !!!!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you what I made with this Masterboard:

Some of you may have seen this before as I had it on my desk.
I started by die cutting the jigsaw pieces and attaching them around the card then using a blending tool applied the three colours of Distress Oxides directly to the card.
Then dragged the card through one of the oxide colour which had been applied to a craft mat and sprayed with water.
Dry the card after each application.

The close-ups show the next stage which was to add some gold leaf and splatter white paint to add to the  design.

Spread a little glue around with your finger and then press on the gold leaf on to it.

At this stage I was ready to start using the Masterboard and began by decorating a paper bag.
First I added some stamping with paper Artsy stamps but you could use what ever you have to hand.
I didn't want to overdo this as the front was going to be very busy but used colours which would match with the Masterboard to give continuity to the design.

I layered up the Masterboard piece with matching card and added some diecut jigsaw pieces in gold and then a small tag which I had prepared earlier with coloured threads and inked the edges.
I used scissors along the edge of the Masterboard piece to grunge it up a little.

I had a few spare pieces of Jigsaw which had not been used on the Masterboard and added those on the top.

You can see here that I have also added some matching coloured gems.

All that is needed now is a sentiment to complete the project.

So here we have it all completed.

I used a die cut text for the sentiment which was layered over the tag. I thought about using a darker colour but felt that the Kraft card worked quite well as it matched the colour of the bag.

Of course there will be more to follow because as usual there's always some left-over!

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been a busy week again with my parents and other stuff but managed to take a few pics of some of the more interesting activities.

Saturday we walked the dogs in the park and the runners were just finishing.
It's so good to see all these people getting involved and the weather was kind on them unlike the week before when it looked like this.

Not sure I would want to be running in the park in this weather, even the lake was frozen but it looked pretty.

Also found a Ninja pebble which was a nice surprise though also made me feel a bit guilty as I haven't done any pebble painting or hiding since before Christmas, just been a bit busy.

This made me smile. It's on display in a restaurant we went to.
We both had a birthday in January and our dear friends decided to treat us to a meal out.

And finally for today we found this in Meadowhall Shopping Centre   (Sheffield) and just had to photograph it.
What a great idea for a heart. Love it and might have to make one though it may not be quite that size.

Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day and wishing you all a great weekend too.

Thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
