WOYWW - 630 - What's On Your Workdersk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Not really as this is Saturday when I went to the Craft Club but as you can see I made it my own Lol!

This is the card I made using up some of those free papers from a magazine.

My real desk today does not look so exciting and quite tidy too really but I'm sure it wont stay that way for long.
The paper in the center is more of the magazine freebies which I hope to use up soon.
The small piece on the right is an idea for a Christmas card.
Don't worry you haven't missed anything to do with the Star Book as I've not started it yet, so it's tucked away for now.

Not sure how clear this is but added some Stickles Glitter glue to the flower when I got it home.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Monday Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with these papers:

Now I wonder how many of you out there have these. I've collected them from magazines and they just pile up and up as I don't really use printed papers very often so I decided that I should Use them or Lose them so here goes.

I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Craft Club on Saturday and we were making a fold card so I took the papers with me and the new stamp by Tracy Evans.

Of course I soon managed to make the desk my own Lol!

And this is where I ended up.

All done with the free papers and a couple of A4 sheets of black and white card and some shiny green thread.
I used two different papers to stamp the flower and then fussy cut one of them, placed the thread and layered the flower over the top to give a bit of extra depth to the design.

When I got home I did add some Stickles glitter glue to the flower to bring the detail out a little more.

I think the patterned paper works really well with the flower.

I quite fancy using this stamp with a blue background and use it as a water lily.

Of course I didn't want to waste the scrap bits so used those inside the card.

I'm sure this will only be the start of using up that ever growing pile of papers.

Hope you like the card, I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
It's a quick show today as the internet went down just when I was trying to do this yesterday but guess that's life as they say!

Yes I know this is a thistle but I like the flowers so I left it to grow.

It's very prickly but sweet all the same.

Yet more plants that have arrived from I don't know where but they are lovely too.

The garden is so pretty at this time of the year.

So much for building houses here. After clearing the ground it looks like this.

Nice wild flowers though.

And the park.

we now have a path again which is nice.

All the work stuff is disappearing.

The Cygnets are growing really fast.

Because I'm late getting this post finished there are no dog funnies today but you might like to make up your own caption for this.

I actually took this photo in the park this morning while walking the dogs and it's so lovely and the ladies were so willing to let me take it.
It may be obvious that it's raining here today!

Some of you may know what this is all about and if you don't I'll show you the results next week.

I'm off to the Craft Club tomorrow and can't wait.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW -629- What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

So here is my desk!

Today I have about three projects on the go. It seems as though it's all or nothing at the moment.

The little flat box on the left holds the start of the projects.
The large roll of black stuff is ribbon. Can't remember where I got it but it's massive and very useful.
The exploding box still remains reasonably tidy and no where near the exploding stage yet.
On the right is a pack of playing cards and a little tub with yet another half started project.

This is the middle section and some stamping with the new Tracy Evans stamps and the Star Book which you may remember was on the desk last week. It's only there as inspiration for a new project.

Thought you might like to see it open.
Still love those stamps.

And finally if you haven't seen them already I made some more cards using that Woodware stamp from last week. Which reminds me someone asked if it was one stamp or several. It is one complete stamp though they do also have similar sets where the plants are individual too.

There are more samples in the post below this one here.

If I'm a bit late getting round again today it's because I'm going Skip-Diving but don't worry I have permission as the family are clearing out rocks from their garden and I have a use for them so I'm off with my wheel barrow to collect a few.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday - Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with these test pieces of card:

I enjoy the play time with the inks as much as making anything but do end up with a pile of paper and card and as I am trying to clear stuff it seemed like a good idea to get these out.

You would be correct in thinking you saw this stamp last week but I thought I would try it on some different colours.

I've edged them in black with Distress inks but equally you could mount them on black card.

Some other left-overs that were going to waste.

Again I've added Stickles Glitter Glue and ribbon and a variety of sentiment stamps.

And there's lots more left so you can bet it will turn up again soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Work is still going on in the park.

But there's lots of tidying up going on too and most of the big machinery has gone now.

The cygnets are growing fast and mum and dad are being kept busy.

I've put an extra fountain in the pond to create more oxygen due to all this warm weather we've been having though you will see some changes to the pond next week as we've been adding a new filter box too.

This is the back of our garden as seen over the fence.

Over on the right they are supposed to be building new houses and had cleared this land but as you can see there is nothing but weeds again so who knows.

Some of my beautiful white lilac. We have several of these now but they all came from one plant that used to be in my Grandfather's garden which we moved when he died taking it to Wigan for eleven years and then here in Lincoln since 1988.

More flowering plants.

My hubbies favourites.

And of course I cannot leave you without a funny.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
