WOYWW -769 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Well lots of desks actually.

Not my home desk but thought you'd like to see what I was doing on Saturday.

It's probably more exciting than my desk at home at the moment.
We were making these pop out cards.
I have some flowery papers which I thought might make a nice Mother's Day card.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with these Masterboard pages:

You may remember seeing me making these masterboard pages in the form of grids using my hand made collage papers with a few found papers too.

The plan was to use some of these on card fronts but to begin with to just play with the papers to create collages without any thoughts about their future use.

After making a few pages I decided to stamp onto few with some very old 'Stamp in the hand' and 'Tim Holtz' wood mounted stamps.

I thought some of these would make good card fronts for men and this is one that I came up with.
I cut it to size and layered it onto black card before attaching it to the card blank.

I used the stamps on the card blanks too.

Stamped these with black ink using the second application to create a shadow image.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Usual walks in the park this week though not every day has been dry and we've got lots of wet towels to prove it.
The swans have been having flying practice so I guess the baby will be leaving soon.

In the garden our flowers are looking pretty.
The Helleborous is flowering but it was difficult to photograph.

These have appeared no idea what they are but they are pretty.

A new resident for the cabin. Saw this at the garden centre and it followed me home Lol!

Inside the cabin it's looking tidy but I should have photographed it half an hour earlier when the place was covered in stuff.
I was looking for something and realised I needed to sort some drawers out and got a bit carried away but it's done now.

I haven't got many funnies for you today but did find this which is so true.
Hope it makes you smile.

This is definietly my two at the moment.
Daisy is 2yrs now and Alfie is just 12month and they definitely have some crazy moments so a few more years to go before they settle a bit, we hope.

This is Alfie's naughty face, he's up to something!

And this is daisy trying to bite Alfie's ears, though he probably deserves it!

But there are quiet moments which proves Daisy loves him really.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So here is my desk for today!

I'm looking for a sentiment for this card I'm making.
I hate it when you know it's there somewhere but it just can't be found but Ill make sure you see it when it's completed.

There's some old wood mounted stamps on the right near the scissors which I might use but everything else is about the same as last week.

I have decided this year will be use it or lose it ... again!
but it's got to be done.

I've been working on part of a Masterboard and hope to finish it soon and that's it really.
I did finish another card using this Masterboard which I posted on Monday.
If you're interested the instructions are there too for making the Masterboard.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some Masterboards which you've had a glimpse at before:

I had fun playing with some old acrylic paint and a brayer, what could be better than making use of some old stash.

Start with spots of paint spread evenly around the A3 card. This was 300gsm.

Take your brayer and roll backwards and forwards, pulling the colour but not mixing it together.

For this technique we want to see the shapes created by the blobs of colour and I rolled over the bare spots with what was left on the brayer.

This is so much fun and quick to complete.

I decided to knock the colour back a bit by adding some white paint mixed with water to thin it down and apply this as before with the brayer.

Now the fun begins.
Lots of ways to use this.

I'm still trying to use up some old stash and I found these the other day.
I have no idea how long I've had them, just a long time.

They are so shiny that you can actually see me holding the camera above them.

The box is full of these die cut shapes.

A few more papers that I coloured sometime ago! who knows when! Some of them are mop ups, "waste not want not".

I've used one of the silver circles, roughed up the edge and went over them with black ink then attached it to a piece of coloured paper.

I had seen this die on one of the craft company websites and thought it looked useful.

I've cut out several layers from the Masterboard and plain white and black card.

Layered them together to give extra depth and then mounted everything onto red and black card and then the white card blank.
I also found some old printed sentiments and attached one of those to the card.

I still have lots of old stash to use up but at least I've got started with it and I actually quite like the card too.

I've already got another idea for the rest of the Masterboard so you will get to see it again soon and some of the others too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

A walk in the park but it was a bit dull.

This is becoming the home for dead trees.

And this is why, they have cut down so many recently.

Here's the gang out for their walk.

This is not the lake but another part of the park that doesn't usually have standing water. It's a good job we have places where the water can escape to.

Really Daisy that's not very lady-like!

This is what happens after their morning walk.

The flowers are starting to appear.

I wonder if you can see what I'm looking at here?
I took this photo from the bedroom window.

The hedge is several feet high but Mr/Mrs fox managed to get right up to the top.

And stayed there for over an hour.

It was enjoying a good preen.

Then turned and looked at me.

Then turned away obviously not interested in me at all.

Later in the evening I saw it again walking around the garden with a friend this time, but the light wasn't good enough to take a photograph.

And the following day we had this......

More like sleet than snow but it went very cold too.

One of our many visitors looking for his lunch.

Alfie wasn't impressed as he wanted to go out again! I think he likes the snow. He might feel different soon as he's booked in for a trim. You might know when you book them in the weather changes.

Must go and here are a few funnies to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Annie sends appologies as she is unable to blog today due to internet problems.

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Back to the collage again.
I've done a couple in this colour.
It's relaxing just playing with bits of paper with no thought of what it will end up being used for.

Maybe some time soon I'll decide what to do with some of them but for now I'm just enjoy some play time.

So that's me done for today, nice and quick just how we like it.
And before I go, wishing you a very Happy Valentine's Day.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
