Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some Masterboards which you've had a glimpse at before:

I had fun playing with some old acrylic paint and a brayer, what could be better than making use of some old stash.

Start with spots of paint spread evenly around the A3 card. This was 300gsm.

Take your brayer and roll backwards and forwards, pulling the colour but not mixing it together.

For this technique we want to see the shapes created by the blobs of colour and I rolled over the bare spots with what was left on the brayer.

This is so much fun and quick to complete.

I decided to knock the colour back a bit by adding some white paint mixed with water to thin it down and apply this as before with the brayer.

Now the fun begins.
Lots of ways to use this.

I'm still trying to use up some old stash and I found these the other day.
I have no idea how long I've had them, just a long time.

They are so shiny that you can actually see me holding the camera above them.

The box is full of these die cut shapes.

A few more papers that I coloured sometime ago! who knows when! Some of them are mop ups, "waste not want not".

I've used one of the silver circles, roughed up the edge and went over them with black ink then attached it to a piece of coloured paper.

I had seen this die on one of the craft company websites and thought it looked useful.

I've cut out several layers from the Masterboard and plain white and black card.

Layered them together to give extra depth and then mounted everything onto red and black card and then the white card blank.
I also found some old printed sentiments and attached one of those to the card.

I still have lots of old stash to use up but at least I've got started with it and I actually quite like the card too.

I've already got another idea for the rest of the Masterboard so you will get to see it again soon and some of the others too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Wonderful Masterboard - I love the knocked-back version. And your card, as always, is oustanding!

Oddly there was a short vid on my phone this moring/yesterday morning, where the artist had dotted bright colours in patterns on a sheet of A4 and brayered it. I thought then, ohooo, gonna have a go at that! Your papers look great, the ones I've done so far, I've scannned them, put the colours are never the same. Thank you for the link!
