Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

My favourite thing this week was Fish Hunting.
Well going to the fish farm actually to look for a new member for the pond.

We came back with this beauty.

It's a lovely place to visit with a great collection of Koi.
It's called Wayside Water Gardens and it's in Oldcotes near Worksop Nottingham.

Now which one to choose?

All gorgeous!

Their own pond is lovely.

And there are some very large fish in there too.

Back to my own garden.

The cacti are doing well.
At least they seem to be enjoying the warm weather.

Grapes though they probably wont be sweet enough to eat.

Bonsai okay, been giving them plenty of water.

Wonder where Bill and Ben might be today.

Sorry if you don't know who they are. It probably means you are too young to remember or you don't live in the UK.

No rain again so my new garden sculpture has not started rusting yet.

The fish are enjoying the weather too and are very hungry. I keep getting dirty looks as I wont give them as much to eat as they would like Lol!

Maisie is here to show you she has found another good spot this time under the umbrella.
She likes to put here feet on the metal, because the base is shaded the metal is actually cool and as we know doggies feet can get very hot in this weather!

Better finish there, don't want to keep you too long.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW # 479 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

More pebbles on the go and the place is definitely in need of a good tidying!

Just got all sorts on the go and trying to get started with some Christmas cards. Sorry to have to mention the C. word!

I like this wired ribbon but not sure how I will use it yet. It's been in the loft for ages and as I am trying to use up stuff that's been sitting unloved I thought I would bring it down, we shall see.

One of the drawers got left open these hold un-mounted stamps that I use regularly, mostly sentiment stamps.

Some of the pebbles here, Gessoed and ready to be painted.

An old stamp by Magenta.

Some lace and a nice big roll of mop-up paper (Kitchen Paper towel Roll).

And if you wonder what happens down the right hand side it's this Lol!

The plastic tub is handy, originally had fish food in it.
The two books at the top I use to pull the pages out to stamp on and
the old book you can see below them is interesting and was given to me by a friend who I used to work with, as a retirement gift.
That was his retirement incidentally not mine! think he was just having a clear out.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Remember this from last week?
Like all good Masterboards there's always some left for another card.

And here is the new one with instructions for making.
Hope you like it.

Sometimes white card just works and really makes the details pop.

This die looks like being very useful as it can be used in a variety of ways.

I started by cutting into white card with the inner section and the gold card including the outline die.

Cut away the butterflies from the gold card and use the Distress Oxide below to colour the butterflies on the white card.

You also need to ensure the white card is the correct size and trim if necessary, edge the white card with a blending tool and Worn Lipstick then stamp the sentiment before adding the detail.
This is a very useful stamp set and one of a set of three.

Next I attached the body of the gold butterflies to the white card as shown here.

I continued by mounting the focal images  to a piece of the Masterboard leaving a little extra round the edge as a border.
Next attach the brads and Glue to the card blank.

I liked the way this looked but still felt something was missing so added tiny drops of gold Stickles Glue on the white die cut.

You can see the 3D effect of the butterflies here.

And here is the finished card.

Quite different from the one I made last week which is here if you didn't see it.

There seem to be lots of wedding anniversaries this month so this should be suitable but could just as easily be finished as a birthday card.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

On Saturday we went to Heckington Show, the largest village show in the country.
When we moved to Lincolnshire in 1988 it was tiny only covering the Recreation ground but gradually it has grown but still maintained it's village feel with none of the sales pitch that you get at many Agricultural shows selling massive farm machinery.
This is definitely a family show.

Lots of traditional techniques and workmanship.

Naturally you cannot be in Lincolnshire without seeing an aeroplane.

And we never did get rid of those Americans Lol!.

Gorgeous old car collection.

MG of course!

And my old favourite looking good, the VW Campervan.

All real village shows have vegetable competitions.

 Cake fancies.

And some very large cakes!

Even the flower tent remind us that this is the home of the Red Arrows.
We are all praying they don't take them away.

 More flowers.

Some are a bit strange!

Couldn't leave without some photos of the Bonsai collection.

And I bought something for the garden.
I wonder if you can see something different.

Well here it is!
The metal is not sealed so we will soon see a lovely patina start to develop though it's quite lovely as it is.
Hope you like it too.
Not quite sure about the position yet though so we'll see, it might move around a little to begin with Lol!

Hope you enjoyed the day out.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So here is my desk today!

If you were here last week you will remember these:

I had so much fun reading your thoughts about what they might become and Diana was about the nearest as she thought they might be ice lollies.
I know the fact they were upside down drying may have confused some of you but here they are now completed.

Close-ups.

I had so much fun making these and by the time you see them I will have hidden them in our local park ready for someone to find.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
