Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Found these in Morrisons Supermarket would you believe!
One of the ladies who works at the Dry Cleaners is a keen follower of the Steampunk Festival and these belong to her friend.
As you read this the Steampunk Festival will have started in Lincoln and I'm off tomorrow to take photos so you can expect to see some of them next Friday.

For now here are some things that made me smile this week.
The River Trust were out encouraging people to appreciate the importance of the waterways here in Lincolnshire.

In the garden I found this little snail climbing over my metal frog, he just looked so cute.

Not sure I've shown you this before but it was made by one of the pupils my hubby taught and as it was left unwanted it found it's way into the garden.
I can't imagine why he was not wanted as he is gorgeous! Makes me smile anyway.

Found this in the Park. Painted slate. Nothing written on it but guessing it's one of the Ninjas that left it there.

I had to show you this poor plant!
This is what is left of the lawn at the moment, pathetic, yet this Snap Dragon has found it's way onto the lawn and is looking quite healthy.

 Close-up.

What a Beauty!

Found this in the garden too.

They are so beautiful and this was a big one.

Not sure what happened to this one.
We do have lots of them, I believe because there is a lot of damp ground that our garden backs on to.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Next week is going to be very different but you will just have to wait and see what I have for you.

If you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW# 481 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

A few extra things such as the photographs at the back left, possible ideas for some more pebble painting and a felting bulb to the right which wasn't there before.
Other than that the desk is taken over by pebbles, glue and the usual stuff.

Do you remember these from last week?

Now I know lots of you were waiting to see what came of these and here are the results.

Some of you have already seen one of these in an earlier post.

Never let it be said that I don't fulfil my promises!

But I didn't stop there, well you wouldn't!
So here we go again.

And the finished set.

I've never made these before so they were a bit of a test run, trying out different types of pebbles, eye shapes, reflections and scales but I don't think these will be the last I ever make.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

As Autumn is on it's way I thought something with colours to match might be nice.

I already had a collection of papers coloured with Distress Oxides. Whenever making Masterboards I usually colour a few extra sheets of card or paper ready for the next project or just in case I need extra but this seems like a rather large collection! So time to use some of it I think.

Added detail to the colour using Tim Holtz stencils and more Oxides.

Next to the stamping.

Using Paper Artsy stamps.

And the final Masterboard ready for the next stage. This was an A4 sheet of water colour paper so plenty to go on.

Using Kraft Card blank and cut the Masterboard to make the background layers.

Stamping next on a sheet of this.

With these.
So love these stamps especially the moth.

And coloured with Oxides after heat embossing.

Next used another Paper Artsy stamp to decorate the front section.
I make no apologies for the mess on my Misti Lol!

Love these little dies which are really useful on cards.

I used some of the Kraft card to cut these and added a little Oxide ink to them using a blending tool.

And at last here is the finished card.

I glazed the shell on the snail added gems and sentiments to complete the card.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Been doing more pebble painting which I know some of you will already be aware of.

Which have been hidden in the park near to where we live and have all got new homes now.

We seem to have lots of new ducks this year. Guess it's all that nice weather we've had.

The colours on this dragonfly are gorgeous though I wish you could see it in flight.

I know I keep showing you the beauties of having a pond well this is the down-side Lol!
Pump cleaning this week....well quite a lot at the moment.

Bit gungy!

I don't have a lot to show you though I have been really busy especially working on my new pebbles.
Here is just one that I finished and there will be more to follow soon.
Working on Dragon Eyes.

And to finish here is little Maisie in another comfy position.

 No idea where Stan is.
He could be any where, particularly if he's not meant to be there Lol!
Is she comfy or what!

Before I go just wanted to tell you that there are only 7 days to go before the next Steampunk Festival here in Lincoln Yipeee!

If you don't know what it's all about just click here and here  if you're interested.
More about  that later.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

So here is my desk for today!

You are getting a few sneaky peaks here!
New pebble project.

Not on the desk at the moment but showing the next stage.

Dumping ground though the Christmas bag there is quite nice, one I made last year just might be inspiration for some more Christmas cards. I'm afraid the ribbon is still waiting to be used, nothing happening there yet.

Other than that we have some Christmas Tree dies and embossing folders. Lots of scissors and glue, not very exciting I know.
I know the diary is out of date but I use it too store birthday dates.

You will get to see the finished pebbles next week, I promise.

Bet you thought I'd forgotten to show you last week's effort, well I haven't.
Here they are:

Yes more Ice cream cones. Love making these.

Quick close-up of a couple too.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Remember this?

Which I used to make this.

Still have some left after cutting off the sections needed to make this card.

I felt it had a wintery look to it so after some dry embossing (Folder is Frozen by Disney) and the addition of some Distress Ink applied with a blending tool it became a winter scene.
I said I wouldn't be making Christmas cards yet but couldn't resist this.

I finished this off with some Tim Holtz die cuts and the tree is Tall Pine by Memory Box.

A few gems completed the card.
Just shows how a Masterboard can be transformed into something quite different.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,
