WOYWW # 488 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I have set the desk so that you could see some of the new stash I bought at Newark on Sunday.
Just guessed you might like to see it.

There were some great offers so obviously you have to make the most of it.

Some of you may well have seen this card earlier in the week as it was part of my Masterboard Monday post which is here if you're interested.

These dies are so nice and reduced in price too which makes them even better.

I'm still visiting mum and dad most days but hope to get round again as I managed last week to visit you all.
They have moved her to a convalescent home which unfortunately is even further away so the travelling takes longer but she is improving and that's the main thing.
My only fear Lol! is that she is enjoying it too much being looked after and may not want to go home. Apparently on Sunday they had an Elvis impersonator singing, maybe I should move in there too!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to as soon as I get back tonight.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday and the C Word!

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Which started like this.

The textured effect was done using screwed up wax paper then ironed onto water colour paper and rub over with Distress Oxides. The waxed areas work as a resist but I do buff it with a soft cloth which removes any residue of ink on the wax.

I love the finish on this and you could use it as it is but I added some stamped images using Paper Artsy stamps by Tracy Scott.

I'm feeling lazy so going to stamp several images at the same time which works well if you're doing A3 which is my favourite size for Masterboards.

This piece of paper on the right was a mop up that I used which may well come in useful on another project. Never like to waste paper or ink.

So here we are.

I don't always do this but decided to mark off the back into sections.
This does help to prevent wastage if you are sure about how you intend using the Masterboard.

And here is the first card.

I wont tell you it's a quick card to make because it isn't as I fussy cut the stamped images and then attached them to the Masterboard. There are stamps for the Ho! Ho! Ho! but I actually wrote them on free hand for this card.
I'm sure I don't need to tell you that this is another Paper Artsy stamp this time by elenazinski Art.
The sentiment was a freebie from a magazine.

I finished the stars off with some gold stickles glue which you can probably see better here.

I've used a Woodware stamp for this called Everything Christmas.

Hope you like it and I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

WOYWW # 487 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!

This will be a quick one today as we have my mother in hospital and I'm having to visit everyday and it's taking about four hours but I will do my best to visit as usual it just might take me longer.

I've been working on my pebbles and though they're not quite finished I thought you'd like to see them.
The rest of the desk is just in chaos.

Not the whole process but part of it.

Hope they made you smile a little.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers # 219 - Lace or Ribbon.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Kim is hosting today and our challenge is to use lace or ribbon.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I'm trying to use up some printed papers that I have in my stash so for this card that's what I've used for the background and die cuts and no stamping which is also unusual for me.
The butterfly dies are by Spellbinders though I'm not quite sure about the tags.
I've included paper lace and ribbon as part of the challenge theme.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.
