WOYWW - 733 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

I have to warn you that I will be late getting round today as we are off to the Lincolnshire Show but I'll get round to you all later.

So here is my desk for today!

It hasn't seen much action since last week when I was completing the Masterboard.

The smaller box now has all the Kate Crane stamps and stencils that I've been using other than that there's not much change except that the Masterboard is finished.

If you would like to see how that came about there are details on Monday's post here:
I did tidy the exploding box but not sure you can tell! There were a few things there that I had forgotten about.

And here is one of the cards made using part of the Masterboard which has been altered with Picasa 3.

I did go to the craft show at the Doncaster Dome last Sunday and of course came home with a few new things to play with.

These are some of the more intertesting items:

Stamps, Stencils and dies.

This is a sweet little dog stamp by Kate Crane, it's a freebie from Stampers Grove and I love it.

.

An interesting collection from Inkylicious. I have a plan for these!

I thought this was a clever stamp and hopefully I'll get round to playing with some of these soon.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with today's Masterboard:

This was just the start.

Retiform design and colour nice and bright.
I don't normally work as bright as this but we'll see how it goes.

These are stamps by Kate Crane which I thought might work well to develop the background.

So started here continuing the Retiform style.

Next stage:

More Kate Crane stamps and stencils.
Inks are Distress Oxides by Tim Holtz.
I've also had a little play with this Masterboard on Picasa.

It's very simple to use and is so much fun.

As I use A3 card for my Masterboards I scan both sides.

They all end up quite different and there's loads more techniques to try with it.

I used the design above to make today's card and of course it means I still have the Masterboard to play with.
When you look at the finish on this one it's difficult to believe it's the same piece.

I've used one of the stamps to cover the card blank and then added a small shaped piece of the Masterboard.

The fish is by Kate Crane and the sentiment by AALL and Create and is called 'Sharp Tongues'.

Of course I couldn't resist adding something to the inside and it's another of Kate's fish with some tiny hearts which is a stamp by Studio Light.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday fun day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I know this is not something you see very often but it had to be done.
Been doing some gardening and just thought I deserved a little sit down watching the fish and listening to the water bubbling through the waterfall, what could be better.

Most of the week has been spent sorting mum's stuff deciding what she might like to keep and what can go to charity.
Weeding the raised bed and doing some spring cleaning. We might not be getting any rain but the weeds grow like mad.

Hubby has been on his next tour of England moderating art work again. Staffordshire this week so I've been able to get a few jobs done.
Just another couple of weeks to go before he finishes.

The moles are getting beyond a joke right now!
They are building mountains.
This area has very open sandy soil which is obviously easy to dig if you are a Mole!

So that's it really for this week, might have something more interesting next week.

Can't leave you without some Schnauzer Knowledge!

These are things about Schnauzers that I love.

No.1 has to be their gorgeous twitchy noses.

No.2 those gorgeous eyes that look at you as though they know exactly what you're thinking, they look right into your soul.
When you're happy so are they and when you're not they know.

Now that seems a bit serious so I'm offering something here to make you smile before you go.
This is so cute.
I bet the one riding is a girl. In my experience they are always the boss.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So here is my desk for today!

The boxes look tidy but definitely need sorting soon.

I'm still working on the same project as last week.
You may remember it:

This is where I am now:

I've used stamps and stencils by Kate Crane for this Masterboard but not quite finished yet and no idea how I will use it but it's colouring up nicely in a Retiform style.

New stuff to play with.
Kate Crane stamps.

Studio Light dies and some gorgeous paints by Pentart called Chameleon.

These are so lush and colour changing too.

Thought you might like to see the inside, how gorgeous it is.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday - Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this set of left-over Masterboards:

I do wonder sometimes where they all come from as the collection does not seem to go down! Maybe it's years of not being able to throw anything away!

So what's next for these?
Well here we go...........

Embossed background, layered with torn bubble paper (washing up liquid technique), Die cut lace (Altenew), stamped sentiment and finished with Stickles Glitter Glue.

I also found this border for the inside which must have been left over from another die cut piece. I can't remember why it was cut like this but pleased I didn't throw it away as it works really well around the sentiment but what do you think?
This is another Altenew die and if you link here you will get a better view of it.

Lots more bits and pieces to go yet for sure.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I've not been far this week so I'm starting here by showing you a lovely photo sent to me from my friend who lives in France.
This is a photo from their apartment.

It was her hubby's birthday so they went out for something special and she sent me this photo. Looks delicious but rather naughty!

In my garden today the moles have been having fun digging. I just wish they would find somewhere else to do it.

We did go to the fish farm for a few things and I took some photos of these gorgeous guys.

This was a particularly big boy, love the markings too.

The plants are coming along nicely despite there hasn't been any rain for weeks.

And so to the pretty part of the garden....

I don't think anything smells or looks as beautiful as the rose.

Though I do love these pretty flowers.

The water lilies are doing well too.

A few final thoughts from the Schnauzers.
Sorry that one is a bit sad but I will always keep my old dogs in my heart.

That has to be a girl Schnauzer.

That one could be male or female, they are all nosy.

And that is a rather sensible Schnauzer, some parents should read this.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
