WOYWW 295# What's On Your Workdesk Wednesdy.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Back again for another Wednesday, to the fabric playground.

I am here to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground and our dear host Julia will explain and all will be revealed.

So here is my desk this week.

Remember this? well!

I have been playing again Lol!
With something called Distressing Paper though I need to make some space first Lol!

When I opened the packet I thought it looked and felt very much to me like Vylene interfacing.

So I tried colouring it and then heated it with my heat gun....

and this was the result.

I also added some gilding wax lightly to bring out the textural detail.

This was the second sample.

With this one, I threaded through some ribbon.

I have been doing lots of testing recently but need to complete the project I had planned for these samples and will be back soon to show you how I have used them in my art work.

But for now....

I'm off to see what everyone else have been doing.
Hope you will visit them too.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week.
Happy WOYWW to you all,
Angela x

Wow, I like that look! Great idea to use gilding wax on the textured surfaces. I tend to do a lot of experiments too and never actually incorporate them in projects! These would look great on a canvas! Hope to see where you're taking this technique next time! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #41

You always have such interesting 'testing' Angela. I have never heard of that product and it looks so fun! I also just lost some time feeding your electronic fish in the sidebar lol Shel#55

Oh goodness, I don't know how you do it - coming up with the MOST interesting blog posts on materials I've just got to try! This will have to go on my list of things to do in the future as I'm still reeling from the beauty and success of the Tyvek experiments last week! Thank you so much for sharing and I can't wait to see what you do with your beautiful samples. Hope you have a great week,

Wow - these are just wonderful, Angela. Love the first "metallic" looking one - and the third one with those gorgeous coloured ribbons running through. Just great! They are good on their own - just need mounting and you have some finished pieces. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them all.
Take care. God bless.

Love what you have done - try nappy liners (100 for a pound) for the same effect. That's what I use for something similar.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Well. How fab, that stuff could have been made for you to work with and am thrilled that you will use the pieces. It makes the time spent 'experimenting' feel like time invested!

How interesting! I woould never have dreamed that you could get such amazing results from a bit of 'vylene'. I love the samples that you did especially the first photo.
Thank you for visiting some days ago now. Sorry that i haven't been able to do much visiting. We've had terrible storms for days and consequently power and internet were down for a few days. We're up and running again so I'm trying to catch up.
Have a good week,
