WOYWW 294 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Back again for another Wednesday.

Angela here to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground and our dear host Julia will explain and all will be revealed.

So here is my desk this week.

Not quite what you expected?
Look at the views!

The food is good too.

Yes we're skiing this week but naturally I have brought some crafty stuff with me.
You never know if there might be a white-out Lol!

I have been desperate to have another go at Zentangling so thought that would be easy to bring along and another piece I am doing for Tracey at Lavinia Stamps though all this depends on the weather of course Lol!.
So here is my desk for this week.

I realise this may come as a surprise, it's so tidy Lol!

I know there are many of you who are far more experienced than I am with this technique but I am doing my best at developing a sketchbook of tiles.

This is one of the strings I have drawn and I have realised it is a good idea to copy it onto the back of the page as it is often difficult to know what you used once the tangles are drawn but these are just things you have to learn Lol!
You never know this might be useful to other Zentangle Newbies.

You will know by next week how good the weather has been by the amount I have completed though I will get a bit done in the evenings while he's in the bath, that's when I am not talking to you lot!

Well that definitely is a quick one from me.

Right! now I'm off to see what everyone else is doing, well after a bit of skiing that is Lol!

Hope you will visit them too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Happy snowy WOYWW to you all,
Angela x

Hi Angela,
I'm not surprised to find you away from your desk :) I was thinking that it must be about ski holiday time for you. Now it's my turn to be green with envy :) Hope you get great snow and fine weather! The art can be done when you get home :) Although the zentangling looks pretty good.
Have a fabulous time!

Ooh how lovely - it looks like you are having a fab time. I love the zentangling - it's something I've often thought I'd like to try - I love your patterns. I have tried your Tyvek technique from last week and posted about with a link back to your blog - it was great fun - thanks for sharing your vast wealth of knowledge, I appreciate it.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday,

Have fun skiing and enjoy your vacation!!!! What a cool idea to bring with you. I don't know anything about it, but it looks very involved and intriguing to me!

Happy Crafting!

It looks as if you are having a wonderful time, Angela. As for your Zentangles, they are truly brilliant... You certainly look well experienced at them! What I love best is your sensitive use of white space. Too many Zentangles are just full of pattern with no contrast! I really love these.

Happy WOYWW,

What gorgeous mountains! I haven't skied in about 15 years! (The "ski-wees" could easily pass me as I was very slow.) Your zentangles are fabulous! Have fun and stay safe!

I hope the weather is perfect and that you don't get to zentangle much. I say that because who wouldn't want to be outside having fun with such gorgeous views likes those. Love your make shift craft table and happy tangling when you get to it.

Well, aren't you the lucky gal this week? Love your DESK. Had to enlarge and appreciate the views, too.

Sorry, but zentangles make my hands go numb. I can't do them, but I can appreciate them.

Yep, Bleubeard is sleeping right now, so he can stay up all night we me (grin). Speaking of up all night, thanks for visiting me while I slept and happy WOYWW from #1.

Those views are breathtaking and that food looks scrumptious. I love that you travel with art supplies too, and that you had time to work on those fabulous tangles. Thanks for the visit and Happy WOYWW!

Thanks for your return visit, Angela, and for your kind and uplifting words. Several people have told me about relatives who have survived bowel cancer and lived into old age, and this is very encouraging! I know it's one of the easiest to treat, so I count myself very fortunate in that regard. I am trying not to think too far ahead, and taking each day as it comes. I think once we have some dates for the scan and surgery, I shall feel less unsettled, and feel that we are getting on with it. Let Battle Commence!!

Oh Angela those snowy scenes are beautiful, I'm not a skier, but I just love the mountains in the snow, so you are very lucky to be there to enjoy them. Do take care in the ice.
Your Zentangles are amazing, I have tried but nowhere near as good as yours, brilliant, and do I see you have been embroidering zentangles as well. No end to the woman's skills!

beautiful scenery! I haven't been one for winter outdoor sport even after living in the Rockies for 5 years. Too cold for me. I have tried some zentangles but my mind gets confused as to what I need to do and how to do it. Might try again! Have fun in the snow! Vickie #33

Hope your weather is good, since you obviously get time for the tangling anyway. I jus recently decided to start practising zentangles, but I would call it doodling for now. These are really beautiful!

Julia Dunnit said...

Well I hope you've skied to your hearts content this week, and on that basis, not done too much zentangling!
