Masterboard Favourites from 2018

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some of my favourite Masterboards and cards from this year and lots of different techniques to make them. Posting this early as I think you may all have other things to do on Monday 31st!

Rubbed on Distress Oxides, spray with water and allow the colour to run by lifting the card then dab the colour with a sponge along the bottom to mix the colour.

The Masterboard was die cut and the card blank stamped. Some of the pieces in the middle layer were just bits of waste left after the die was cut. I seem to have been using lots of waste card this year but it's better than it ending in the bin Lol!

The card above used more of the left-over paper.

Creating resists with Stencils and Gels, mixing colour into some of the Gels too.

Cut the Masterboard into squares and mount onto a background card adding lots of die cut pieces from more left-over Masterboard.

Tim Holtz stencils and Brilliance Pearlescent Ink. In real life this has the most gorgeous shine to it.

Stamp on paper coloured with Distress Oxides, probably more left-over! using Paper Artsy stamps and cut these out before arranging on the card.

Stamped, heat embossed and water coloured.

More Paper Artsy stamps, just love those patterns on the eggs.

More clear embossing then just add colour with brush pens.

Stamp the same image onto the card blank then cut out some of the flowers from the Masterboard and attach to the card. it's easy to make loads of cards with this technique.

Bokeh design left-over Masterboard, again! Use any interesting image and text stamps to develop the design. I added an image stamp by Tim Holtz which I coloured and then cut out and attached to the card.

Stencil, double sided sticky paper and Gilding flakes.

The ammonites where made using a mould by Powertex. If you use paper clay for this it is light that you can use it on cards with out altering the balance of the card.

Water reactive Tissue paper background and Paper Artsy stamps. So much fun to play with though can be a bit messy.

Made this into a wallet to hold a collection of ATCs.

Just smoosh the card over with several colours of Distress Oxide.
This works best on good quality Watercolour card or paper.

Made this into a fancy fold card adding stamped images and a die cut butterfly by Sara Signature stamps and dies.

Lots of stencilling with gels and then used Gelatos to colour it. Wipe over the surface to remove some of the colour which makes the stencilled images stand out.

Used this to make a Mini journal which I decorated with Dylusions Stamps.

Distress Oxides and stencil with Crackle Texture Paste.

Darkroom Door bird stamps.

Die'sire Create-a-Card die 'Delicate Wings'.

Stencils, Gel medium by Golden and Pixie Powders. The sentiment is by Woodware and dies by Tim Holtz.

Stencilled Masterboard and stamped over with a text stamp.

The dies are by Tim Holtz, leaf stamp by Paper Artsy and the moth by The Artistic Stamper.

That was so difficult and there are so many more I could have included here but that's it for now.

I would like to thank all of you that have visited me this year leaving such lovely comments and kind words of encouragement, you all make it so worth while.

Wishing you all a very Happy and creative New Year.

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
Though I'm sure you can guess.

So not many photos to show you but here is the Christmas cake our dear friend made for my parents.

A smaller one she made for my hubby, guess I might get a little if I'm quick!

And couldn't resist these few pics. of Stan.

He seems to have this thing about stuff with buttons and likes tapping remotes and computer keyboards.

Not sure whether he managed to get the station he wanted.

Hope your Christmas was happy, see you soon hopefully with more photos though I'm sure these few should make you smile.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Mini Christmas Wallet File.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you another of my favourite projects:
This is a Wallet File.
I made this using Graphic 45 papers from the Christmas Carol set. I so love the gorgeous traditional colours.

This is the front with everything added.
The centre and flowers have been glazed with Glossy Accents and the berries with red Stickles Glitter Glue.

The instruction sheets below were something I wrote some time ago and just wanted to check them out again though to be honest I nearly always end up adapting them.

So this was the first stage.
I have taken more photographs though to be honest there is so much going on if I showed you everything it would just be too much to take in so here are the basics.

Started the Inner pages and attached the magnets which will be the fastening when the wallet is closed.

Central flap Pages Closed.

Open.

Back section started like this.

And finished here:

The inner sections completed.

Leaving room for photographs.

Stamped ATCs to decorate the centre, held in position by a belly band.

A few photographs added.

The wallet was completed with the addition of Stickles Glitter Glue, German Gold scrap, small white die cut snowflakes and ribbon.

I would love to hear your comments and hope you enjoyed looking.

Many thanks for stopping by, wishing you a lovely Christmas and a very happy and creative New Year.

As I wont be around on Monday, as you might have guessed, I'm posting this early.
