Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".
If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.
So here is my desk for today!
And before I go... I received this gorgeous card from Shaz and Doug aka Shazsilverwolf.
How gorgeous is that, lucky me! cos it's a beauty. Thank you so much Shaz xXx
Just a few of my final Christmas cards to be sent off just in time! but nothing else happening at the moment....at least nothing I can show you yet.
Just remembered that Heather commented about gluing these fine die cuts without getting glue everywhere.
I have two methods:
1. I have a small bottle that I fill with Cosmic Shimmer Glue and to this I attach a small metal spout adaptor (at the moment I can't remember where I got these from).
I then apply the glue in tiny dots, if the die cut is quite small then I hold the piece with tweezers. Once you get used to it you can do this fairly quickly.
2. Is to place a thin layer of glue on a craft mat and pull the die cut piece through it which will pick up the glue.
And before I go... I received this gorgeous card from Shaz and Doug aka Shazsilverwolf.
How gorgeous is that, lucky me! cos it's a beauty. Thank you so much Shaz xXx
So that's me done for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.
I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,
happy crafting,
Angela x

Gorgeous cards, both receiving and sending! I do love opening the post at this time of year. Happy WOYWW Helen #1
Fabulous cards Angela, we have a pile to open now which takes place once the Christmas Tree is up, hoping to get that job done over the weekend. Shaz & Dougs card is beautiful.

Morning Angela. Lovely cards made there - I'm sure the recipients will love them and appreciate the effort which has gone into making them.
Take care. God bless.

Oh, very smart cards indeed - I particularly like the black and red baubles card, tres elegant!!

Great cards and nice to be on the homeward run, isn’t it Angela.
Don’t use glue doing layers but tape sheets on die cuts. Glue and I have a mixed relationship.
Mind you tried the Gina K connect glue with my Simon Says voucher and it’s great for that sort of thing if you can get it there.
Love Shaz’s card too, she’s very prolific!

Love the cards and great tips about the glue! I normally dunk my diecuts in gel medium and then squash them into place - very messy! You can tell why I don't make pretty cards, can't you? I'm just too messy. Another way would be to run them through a xyron machine - but I don't have one. Keep thinking I should get one, but it probably would be wasted on me. :( Enjoy your week, Angela! zsuzsa #14
Hi Angela, and you're most welcome. Received your lovely card yesterday too. I recently ordered some bottles with ultra fine tips from Amazon, and they are great for applying a tiny bit of glue. Think it was a dozen or so for very little money. Jennifer Macguire gave out a good tip too. Save the backing sheets from double sided adhesive sheets, and put them under your work when applying glue, as the adhesive won't stick to it. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X#5
Ah well done Angela, lovely lovely cars and there you are finished! I expect your thoughts are turning to stuff for next year already. Blimey. The light looks lovely on your desk, I took my shot in the dark but also today is so grey and dull, your pic is heartening!
Gorgeous card you have received Angela, love the cards, I can see you are going to post.
Saw this over on FB Angela, thought of you! just up your street..lol ... Pam xxx https://www.facebook.com/457304830980608/photos/a.729619170415838/2327777197266686/?type=3&theater
I have a good camera Julia! but the room does have good light. It has a polyvinyl roof which lets in loads of light so it's a great place to work too.
What beautiful cards! I'm still making and sending and probably won't be done until right before Christmas. Have a great week!

Hi Angela, thanks for the tips on the glue, I shall remember them. I'm unexpectedly away from home at the moment, so no desk to join in this week, just desk hopping to see how everyone is almost ready for Christmas! Have a lovely week Heather x
Lovely cards Angela.
And I have a third way for the glue - put a little on the back of your hand and drag through - used to do that when I was dem'ing. (I have retired at last)
Hugs, Neet xx
Hi Heather, don't know if you'll see this but just wanted to thank you for stopping by and hope you have a nice time wherever you are. Have a great woyww, Angela x15x
Beautiful card by you and Shaz! Have a great week. Dorlene #25
Lovely cards. Have a great week

Great tips about the glue Angela. I have some of that Stick It stuff that goes on the back of the card you are die cutting but it is a more expensive option. I had a similar card from Shaz. They are beautiful aren't they. Happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting. Sarah #3
Hi Angela, Lovely cards.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Thanks for the hint on the die cut placement, Angela - I managed to spectacularly destroy one recently and had decided to 'never again'. Now I think it might be worth another try! You're my Christmas blessing for the week. :D
Hi Angela, ooh they have a glue pen out now ( mind just went blank but, its blue and has a fine tip for making tiny dots on skinny diecuts.) Love all the cards. ~Stacy #22
Beautiful cards! And what a lovely one from Shaz as well - nice to be able to keep it and not have to send it away! I always have a hard time parting with my cards! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #20
Thanks for the tips, I hate gluing little things and try to avoid that - but I will remember your tips when I need to! Thanks for your visit to my blog last week, ave a relaxed weekend! Love from Holland, Marit #16
Great cards, Angela! Thank you for your visit and sorry for the delay in replying - at least this week is turning out quieter than last. Sorry this year hasn't been so good for you. It's had its issues for me too...
Happy belated WOYWW,
