Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I'm sure you will remember this, used to make this Mother's Day card.

Well you can't just waste the left over pieces so here's another card I've made, hope you like it. It must be one of the quickest cards I've ever made but sometimes that's just what's needed.

I've also used up some patterned papers from my stash for the background mounted with a plain coloured card and a white card blank.
The sentiment you see here comes with the flowers in the same set.
The stems were elongated using a black pen as they were not quite as long as I wanted them.

Next I applied some Stickles Glitter glue to the centre of the flowers and finally some gems.
If you like these stamps they are by stamps by Apple Blossom - Springtime Sentiments.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
Not something you see every day!

I know it looks a mess but it's all for a good reason.
More clearing in the workshop.

It may look like a load of rubbish but I found some interesting bits that I had forgotten we still had like these Coca Cola glasses.

My Snoopy collection.

The sewing machine I learned on as a child.

These two were not at all helpful.

And more interested in sniffing round the garden.

And when that job was finished it was time for a rest on the lawn.

Gosh! It's a dogs life Lol!

Still not completely clear but we're getting there, shelving next me thinks!

But that's not all. A quiet day at the Craft Club this week.
It is Easter weekend so we knew it might be quiet.

One of the club members did the workshop this time and we made a lovely card with a front fold.

And here are a few samples for you.

You need double sided paper for this project.

Here's one in the making.

What is so nice about this is how different they all ended up.

Everyone putting their own finishing touch to the basic design.

And just to finish this off, one of my Orchids.
This is the first one I ever bought at least twenty years ago and it's still flowering happily.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW # 516 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

That butterfly stamp on the right is still sitting there waiting patiently!
Gesso tub, always at the ready naturally!
Baby wipes too, an absolute must!
Tubs full of crafty tools and a spray bottle with water ready for the next masterboard project.

In the centre of the desk is this, not finished yet but it's on it's way.
I'm trying to use up those patterned papers that seem to have piled up.

On the left of this, a new stamp by Altenew sitting in the exploding box.
A packet of coloured gems just waiting for the next project or maybe some of them will help to complete the bag design.
You can also see an old die by Tim holtz with lots of lovely tiny butterflies.

So that's me done for today.
Everything else is just the usual suspects that you've seen before.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers# 232 - Dragons or Mythical Creatures

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Lin is hosting today and our challenge is Dragons or other Mythical Creatures.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I made this card using several Lavinia stamps and one of her dies. The background is one of my own Masterboards coloured with Distress Oxides before applying the stamps.

Started here.
Not sure which die to use so cut out a few to begin with.

Coloured an A3 sheet of watercolour paper with Distress Oxides.

And these are the ones I used.

There may appear to be rather a lot of colours here but as I used two shades of the green, and two of pink and then the blue and purple it's not like using six completely different colours and appears on the finished piece as though there are not actually so many colours just shade.

Stamped the Lavinia fairies next.

You can see on this close-up of the textured pattern from the stamp below.

Added some dots through this stencil too.

Cut out a circle from the Masterboard to mount the die cut onto.

And mounted the card with a black layer and more Masterboard.

Couldn't resist adding more dragons to the back of the card too.

And there we are finished. I completed the design with a sentiment on the front and stickles Glitter Glue in the windows of the house.

And that's it really.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Started with some gardening to tidy up the strawberry plants.

They stared like this covered in leaves and weeds.

And finished like this all clean and tidy.

From there I went on to finishing my pebbles.

Painted with Gesso and then dipped into marbling ink.

Photographed this guy at the bottom of the garden but not sure what he is but he looked quite big.

And to finish the week off, I went to a craft show at Newark.
I didn't take many photographs as I was just too busy but here are the few I did take.

Inkylicious stamps and samples.

Lady E.
I've not seen this company before and she makes gorgeous flowers with card and foamiran.

Just a few of her samples.

They are so pretty.

I'm not normally into making flowers but these were so lovely that I may have to give them a go.

Very pretty little bird house too.

If you want to see more of this lady's work I do have a link here:

I think the cake at the back is real and not for sale Lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW 515 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Well actually not! but I knew you would want to see what I brought back with me from the Newark Craft Show.

Woodware, Visible Image stamps and other things too like a couple of dies, tags and gel plates.

I know how much some of you liked the card I made with the last Woodware stamp so I've got another in a similar style.

Strictly speaking this is the desk today.

Now it's almost tidy.
The turquoise coloured thing on the left is a kitchen scrubby but great for cleaning stamps too.
That butterfly stamp is still hanging around on the right and the little metal tub below it is full of small stampbord pieces but no idea yet what I intend using them for.
The paper on the desk is made with bits of left over masterboard that I have woven and attached together and do you know what! I have no idea yet what I will use it for.
And finally the exploding box is filling up again!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,
