Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I had great fun making this one.

I started with this piece of A3  watercolour paper that I had mopped up some inks with as I hate to waste anything.

Added Distress Oxides with a blending tool using these three colours.

Next applied the ink to the craft mat, sprayed it with water and pulled the card through it drying between colours.

Added some yellow too though at the time I didn't like it! then sprayed with water and dabbed off some colour to create a faux bleached effect.

With a circle stencil and a blending tool. I added Gesso to create a bubble effect. Allow the first layer to dry and then go over it again until you have the desired pattern. To be honest it doesn't take long as the Gesso dries really quickly and do you know what? I love the yellow popping out!

Next I cut these into ATC sized pieces and then stamped onto white card a design to go on the top.

I did this using a Tim Holtz stamp and then coloured and fussy cut them.

And here they are. I've spread them out to dry as I added some Stickles Glitter Glue for some added sparkle.
You can just see the stencil I used to the left of the cards.

This close-up shows the sparkle a little better.

And here are a few of the finished cards.

The rest have all gone to their new homes on behalf of the WOYWW swap.

To complete these I added a sentiment.
Some of you may well recognise what these were made for as it's the 10th anniversary of WOYWW, blog hop.

Last year I made a wallet to keep the ATCs in and so decided to make another one for this year but you will have to wait to see that.
Hope you enjoyed watching me make these. They are now winging their way to my swap friends.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

I would like to enter one of these ATCs in the following challenges:

Your gesso bubble backgrounds are just perfect for the images - a little bit of bubbly to celebrate! Fabulous. Sorry I’ve been so absent – there’s a quieter period on the horizon (at least until the next last-minute gig bobs up to spoil it).
