Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3 Challenge 5.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Blog Friends, this time it is Challenge #5 over at Linda Ledbetter's CC3C Challenge.

All the odd-numbered challenges are sponsored by the wonderful online shop, INSPIRATION EMPORIUM! Joy and the IE gang will award an incredibly generous FIFTY DOLLAR gift certificate to one lucky, randomly selected participant.

As if that is not enough, another lucky person will be chosen by the Curiosity Crew and that person will win a bumper bundle of Tim's products, kindly given by Tim and Mario.

We will be using the Distress Watercolouring Technique found on page 39 of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. #3.
I am unable to explain the technique as you must have the Tim Holtz book Compendium of Curiosities Volume III to join in but other stages in the project I can explain.

And here is what I made:

Love the sewing machine stamp.

Cut up strips of 'Timmy' papers and then tape them together as shown below.

This is the sewing machine before the colouring is done, instructions are on page 39 to complete the technique.

Using the Tim Holtz die cut out a section to create a window.

With mirri card emboss using a Tim Holtz embossing folder.

Cut out the tailors dummy from the Sewing Room set and emboss.

Mat and layer these sections together and add brads in the corners before finishing.

The ruler was stamped onto ribbon using Versafine ink.

And here is the finished card once again.

Hope you like my efforts and leave a little comment, many thanks in advance.

                 Happy crafting,

                     Angela x

Your background is awesome! Thanks for the step by step on that! :) It's perfect for a sewing theme...almost as if you've made a quilt out of fabric scraps. I also love your green metallic embossed die cut center. It pops! :) This is the perfect way to show off your blueprint sewing machine that is beautifully water colored! Thanks for sharing with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
