And here is my fourth design for :
That Craft Place Challenge Blog.
Hope you will pop over and join in the challenge and have a look at what my team members have made to inspire you.
As usual this fortnight's theme is:
Mixed Media Anything Goes!
So can't go wrong there!
And here is my project completed.
Stages in Making.
Love! Love! these, both are from
Started by applying dimensional paste through the stencil onto the MDF tag.
I put this on quite thick as you can see.
Once the paste is dry cover the whole tag with Gesso or white acrylic paint.
Next, prepare the die cuts for the flower.
I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals for this and some pieces of Graphic 45 paper left over from an earlier project.
The best tutorial for making these is to be found at Ink On My fingers.
This is the blog of Hels Sheridan and well worth a visit.
I finished this by glazing it with Glossy Accents by Ranger.
It reminds me of the roses in the garden when it's rained, other than that I just like it!
Here you can see most of the things I used to make the flower.
If you look closely at the plastic jacket on the Spellbinders die, you can see the reflection of me taking the Photo
(sorry not very interesting really).
The Graphic 45, Distress Inks, cords and ribbons are all available from That Craft place (Bricks and Mortar shop) or (On Facebook).
At this stage I went back to the tag and painted it with Cosmic Shimmer, Matt Chalk Paint and left it to dry.
Next stage, add more crackle this time using the Cosmic Shimmer Crackle Glaze. Lisa at That Craft Place stocks lots of Cosmic Shimmer paints and mediums.
Spread a fairly thin layer in position and allow it to dry before going over with the cream paint.
Once the paint is dry you can see the crackles, at this stage I added some dry brushing over the tag to blend the design a little.
Here you can see me preparing the embellishments I used. Did these with another Tim Holtz die and blended over the card with wild Honey Distress Ink.
I continued by adding further colours of paint and then stamped and heat embossed this with silver embossing powder.
To complete the crazy paving, I replaced the stencil and rubbed over it with Treasure Gold gilding wax. If you like a clean finish, this is the way to do it.
I rounded off come pieces of the Graphics 45 papers to create my dots and placed them on the design using Cosmic Shimmer Glue.
These are some of the colours I used for this piece.
And so we get to this stage when I thought I had finished!
But I just kept looking at it and decided to add these.
So that's it really for this project and I hope you will pop over to see what my DT mates are up to and to join in the challenge at
That Craft Place blog.
I look forward to seeing your entries for the challenge.

Wow Angela, this is so beautiful! I just adore the purple and orange together! Your big blossom is just wonderful with the checkered patterns, love it! hugs :)
This is a lovely project, Angela - so many different techniques and textures. Funnily enough I've been designing a crazy paving stencil recently but the "stones" are bigger - maybe too big! Thanks for your 2 lovely comments, and I'm glad you like what I've been up to. I am able to do stuff in the mornings and then I'm useless for the rest of the day lol! As for the mould making silicone putty, the small tubs you had were probably Mold 'n Pour - very overpriced! You can get the Amazing Mould Putty from Amazon at quite a good price at the moment. I've also got some DIY instructions from Shaz Silverwolf that you might be interested in - I wasn't sure I could be bothered to make it with my limited energy supplies but I can give you the link if you like.
