Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".
If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.
And this is what's on my desk today...
Last week I showed you some boxes of paints, Aqua Tints by Spectrum Noir. These are still on my desk as I have been working with them since then and I have made a few samples and here they are.

Salt and Faux Bleaching.
Clingfilm and Stamping.
Close-up of the pattern left behind when the clingfilm is removed.
Colour was applied and sprayed with water to encourage the colours to run together.
Also added some of the gold paint.
Here I mixed some of the red paint with Gesso to create a chalk type paint.
I have normally used distress inks to colour card and paper but these water colours are much quicker.
Definitely will be trying these out with more techniques soon but now I'm off to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great week and happy woyww,
Angela x

I've never heard of these watercolors, but I adore what you've made. I love the cling film technique. I once reused cling film with different colors, and the original colors transferred to the new card stock I was working on. Luckily the transferred colors were metallics, so they blended nicely with the new colors.
Thanks for sharing these. Happy WOYWW from #2.
I love the effects you've got from your experiments. Gorgeous colours.
Hugs,

Hi Angela, happy WOYWW. You have been busy playing with your new paints...great examples - amazing and interesting what things around the home can help with our inks/paints. Enjoy your week RobynO#22

Hi Angela, what stunning colours. I have far too many paints I don't use at the moment, but when I finally start to get down them, I will be looking at these. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #4 xx
It's interesting seeing the effects you got with the aqua tints. I've heard about them but not seen how they work before. Thanks for sharing. Barb#20

I love all the different effects you've achieved with the techniques you've been playing with. I really like the soft lines you got with the cling film. Happy WOYWW, my dear friend! #42
I noticed the vivid colors right away and really saw the difference between these and other mediums. You had fun trying them out. It almost encouraged me to try some messy technique, but luckily I've come to my senses! Judy #49
I too use distress paints to colour things... I am always game for a cheaper option though. Thanks for sharing your find.11
Your tags are fabulous! Love the way the cling left the texture. And the colors, WOW! Looking forward to see what you do with all of these! Happy WOYWW!

Wonderful colours Angela , I'll have to keep an eye open for those watercolours and give them a try.
Going to have to try cling film again. Tried once, and the paper broke.... but looks gorgeous. Happy woyww!

Hi Angela
I like what you have done with the Aqua Tints, especially with the gold. And the cling film idea is very effective.
Have a good week,
RosA
The aqua tints give quite a dense coverage, don't they but still with translucency. The different effects are really interesting, especially the cling film!! You can really see the hints of gold too...hard to capture in a photo.
Thanks for becoming a follower btw, it's much appreciated. I'm not that prolific a blogger but I do enjoy writing the WOYWW stuff!

Those tags are so gorgeous and vibrant! I love all the drawers and cubbies around the top of your workspace, what a wonderful place to create. Thanks for visiting earlier! Sandy Leigh #42
Lovely effects and great colours! The cling film is an interesting idea. Must try that.
Thanks for visiting yesterday and apologies for the late comment. I've been so busy yesterday...
Have a good week,

You've got some great samples there - the tints look lovely to work with and give a really rich colour. I love the cling film effect and I especially love the poppies - gorgeous! Thanks so much for stopping by earlier, and I hope you have a great week,

Your backgrounds are gorgeous, Angela. I particularly like the additon of the gold paint, but then I'm a sucker for a bit of bling! That's a good idea mixing paint with gesso for a chalk paint effect - I must try this.
Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - the silk clay is fun stuff and worth looking into. It does have a lovely soft silky feel once it's dry. I have yet to paint my pieces and not sure how well the definition has stood up but I can definitely see potential in this stuff.
Happy belated WOYWW,

LOVE your workspace Angela ... so organised but crafty busy too! Also love your tags ... only ever did the cling-film thing once in a workshop so really must try it again as I do love the effects. Thanks for popping by my blog earlier ... was lovely having you visit. Love Debbie xXx
I'm loving the bleached background. Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier.

Do love the vibrant colors the water colors leave behind. So many great looking tags. I can tell you are having fun working with them. Diane 28
Clingfilm gives such great results with various mediums doesn't it. Love the stuff but hate cutting it. Great samples.
Hugs, Neet xx (sorry I am so late)
