Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This is a photograph through my conservatory window and that is quite a lot of Magpies.
As a child we hardly ever saw them but as the law made it illegal to remove the eggs of wild birds they have increased substantially and as you can see we have quite a few here.

And our poor park!

It continues to look like a disaster area and probably will for some time. They have removed most of the edging stones.

And they are chopping away many of the trees too which are breaking up the edge of the pond.

This photograph above shows that they are securing the edge of the embankment where they removed the concrete edging.

Due to the mess around the pond we are changing our walking route and I thought you might like this house that we passed. There are many older properties in Lincoln with interesting designs.

We have had some very cold days and the pond started to freeze but it's more or less back to normal now. It doesn't effect the fish due to the depth of the pond.

To finish a fe funnies for you.
Enjoy x

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW - 608 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Too much going on as usual but the desk doesn't look too messy I guess.

Need to make baby cards and this is an old one that I made years ago. Hopefully this will inspire me.

I've added a bit more paint to the new dragon but he's not finished yet and I've not quite decided how I will use him but he looks really cool.

Somebody asked me about this die and I've cut out some card so that you can see how it looks but that's as far as I've got with it.

These are a few things still waiting to be put away left over from Christmas projects and the paint is going to be used on the dragon soon.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday . A Year in Review.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with a couple of my favourite Masterboards:

I liked these triangles so much that I made similar Masterboards in different colours. The stamps and stencils are by AALL and Create.

And here are some of the projects I made.
The large triangles were made with some card and Masterboard from an earlier project. Those Aall and Create dies are brilliant and I used some Tim Holtz Washi Tape too.

And the same design just different colours.

The large die cut triangles were left over from the earlier project.

And something a little similar.

These triangles were just some left-over card from an earlier project and I varied their depth when attaching them by using sticky dots with different thickness.
I don't remove the perforation at the edge as it adds extra detail to the design.

Finished off with a very simple card just cut from the Masterboard add a sentiment and it's done.

I would love to hear your comments and hope you're enjoying my review of last year but don't worry I'm working on something new as we speak.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Some Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
First more work in the park.

These were barrels full of concrete used to support the sides of the lake embankment.
There's lots more going on but that will have to wait until next week.

Just a quick check on the Bonsai which are doing fine.

Slightly different route round the park today due to the work in progress.

Snowdrops popping up in the garden, must be a sign that spring is on it's way.....we hope!

Another mole hill has appeared but I bet he's got a headache as it's right next to the concrete under the cabin.

Stan showing off his fleecy jacket.

While hubby is trying to eat breakfast and watch the TV.......not much chance of that with Stan around!

Thought the kitty lovers might like this.

Another different walk due to the park being cut off.

This runs around the back of where we live.

As you can see there is a lot of water which is very typical of areas in Lincoln yet they still want to build on Floodplains...crazy!

And we saw this guy on the way home, love him.

Some of you were asking about the calendar and whether it shows the whole stage in production of the cabin and the answer is yes and I'll show you the following pages each month that they appear so watch out not long till the next one appears.

Just a few funnies to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and

WOYWW - 607 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Busy desk and a bit cluttered due to several projects taking place at the same time.

The thing on the left is a canvas I'm working on and the tray at the right is holding the results of my playtime with the resin and if you look a little further back on the right in the brown bowl is something which came out of that large mould.

I did it! and it wasn't so scary after all! and the results are great, really pleased.

Here are the moulds I used.

This is me giving it a poke to see if it's setting, it was quite exciting really when I finally plucked up courage to get on with it.

And this is what came out.

As the resin is clear I have covered it now with Gesso so that you can see it a bit better and if you think it looks familiar now you would be right as it's the same dragon that I used on a project before and I liked it so much that I decided to get the mould and make my own.
I have plans for him!
If you missed it before you can find it here.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday - Year in Review.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you several cards made with one of these Masterboards:

All made using the Gelli Plate.

You don't need to use too much to make an impression.
Sometimes Less Is More!

And with the addition of some great stamps....well you tell me.

I tried a few different shapes and positions for the Masterboard too.

And I can't help it but I love decorating the back of the cards too.

And this one was made with a few left overs, what fun!

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
