Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

The park still remains really muddy so we've been walking at the back of our house. Like lots of woodland areas around here you can see there's quite a lot of water.

This is probably about a hundred yards from the back of our fence but as you can see it's covered by trees so from where we live it's quite difficult to see this far.
You can see Maisie there wondering why I'm so far away she likes everyone to be together.

It certainly proved an interesting walk.

And then we saw this in the undergrowth.

What appeared to be some pieces of wood paneling.

So we made our way round to see what was going on.

And this was what we found. Someone had made two little huts.

Not too far away to one side is this school and we're wondering whether some of the children have made this as a little den but there was no sign of anyone in the huts or anything untoward having taken place.
It's surprising what you find when you're out for your walk!
I had another surprise the other day when i went into the spare bedroom to find my favourite Orchid had decided to flower, they are beautiful I'm sure you'll agree.

And so to the funnies:

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW -612- What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Julia mentioned last week about the monthly project I'm doing from the Creative Craft Academy and keeping up with it.
It's not something I've done before but it's felt quite relaxing having everything there ready and not having to think too much about what to use, just need to think where to put everything.
We did have a rest last month as the materials arrived too late to send out but I'm loving this months project and it's nice to see how everyone else interprets it too.

So here's where I'm up to but I'll make it quick Lol!

Always like to seal the wood before applying the paint so I used some of my own Gesso to do this.

Then applied the paint, two layers.

Prepped the embellishments.

Not quite finished but I'll let you see the results next week.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday - Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:
If you were here last week you will remember me playing with this.

And of course there's always more so today I have another card to show you.

I loved playing with these stamps, added some washi tape then the light bulb image. I had fun using some more wax and stamping into it with one of my brass stamps.
Not sure it's obvious but I added Stickles Glitter glue and then when that was dry I covered the bulb in clear Glaze.

I've also added some smaller light bulbs to the inside and a sentiment.

You may be able to see that there is a shadow on the light bulb here caused by the glaze.
I think this would make a great birthday card for a man but what do you think?
The stamps I used here were by AALL and Create and Bee Crafty. The Washi tape is by Tim holtz.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been a week mostly for walking the dogs and crafting so not much has changed there.

These photographs were taken at the back of the park and is the river Witham, as you can see it's quite high.

The park is still under construction but I'm sure it will be worth it when it's finished.

More water! This is the Dyke that goes through the park and meets up with the Witham and then flows into the town.

The workmen are edging the pond here.

It gets even more muddy by the day!

This area used to look like this.

And more water, this is the back of the park but we have had quite a lot of rain recently.

And you may have guessed by now that we have a lot of water in Lincolnshire.
Luckily for us they are reasonably good at controlling it.

But of course I can't go without showing you what Maisie and Stan have been up to which apart from their muddy walk in the park it's not much.

Maisie was here first but Stan had jumped up and tried to push her away.

She is very good and puts up with a lot but was determined that she was not getting down.
So everyone dug in!
Think hubby needs larger knees.

Stan's favourite bush in the garden!

Nothing like a good rub on your favourite plant.
And finally......

And the same from me too.
 Thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Masterboard Monday Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

This is an A3 sheet of card which I originally used to mop up some left over ink from my craft my mat which is always a good start for a Masterboard.

So I got out a few stencils by AALL and Create and some Oxide inks.

And a little bit of stamping too.

And of course I can't resist a mop up and as I had a piece of card left over from an earlier project it just had to be coloured.

I sprayed the stencil with water and then pressed it onto the card to apply the ink that was left on it.

Looks useful, never waste card or ink!

While I was playing with the left over card I did some stamping too with one of the AALL and Create Border stamps and a few little extras.

More stamping and stenciling onto the A3 sheet.

Including some texture paste.

Went a bit mad with one of the border stamps.

This piece was the paper I used to clean the stamp but who knows, "waste not want not" as they say.

And I finished with this:

Not quite my plan for today as I did this on the strip of left-over card but I'll be back next week to show you how I used the rest.
I rubbed over the edge with a Tim Holtz distressing tool and layered it onto a dark brown card, then a gold textured card.
The washi tape is also by Tim Holtz and the stitched stamps are by Crescendoh.

There's lots of texture on here in the form of texture paste and this little blob of stamped wax over the top of some strips of card that I cut off when sizing the design.
And of course a little gold Stickles Glitter Glue completed the card.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments and many thanks for stopping by.

Happy crafting,

Angela x
