WOYWW - 633 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

It's nearly tidy here today!

Helen (Stamping by Helen) said that I should make one of these cards in purple too and as I do have a small piece of left-over masterboard in that colour I have combined it with some of the black.
I've enjoyed working like this but I think it's time for something different, don't want to bore everybody so we'll see.

The exploding box has some new embossing folders and a half made concertina book.

New Washi Tape though not sure how I will use it yet.

So that's me done for today but just managed to get the card finished.
Hope you like it Helen x

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,
Angela x

Well. I like it for sure and this sort of design is by far the best card design for using up scraps. Those stamps are quite cute as well. Love the washi tape - washi has really moved on from the first designs, hasn't it? Shame I have so much of the plain patterns and they haunt me from their drawer so it keeps me from buying more till I use it up!
Stay cool....

Happy Hot Day Desk Hopping!

I think the scrappy strips make a fantastic background and I love the purples and blacks together, it works really well!

Love the latest card Angela - the purple works well with the black. The new embossing folder at the front is pretty. Keep cool, stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

Love the A&C washi tape - like the quality of it too. I made a little book with it all, just rows and rows of different ones covering a piece of card. it's on my blog somewhere.
Normally I just tear a piece and then tear it down the length so it is irregular - like Abs does. The bits that are left over I put on a sheet that is kind of glossy. It's one that came from Hochanda that had labels stuck on, peel the labels off and save the sheet for washi bits.
You could cover a small card like you have used the strips in the bottom photo.
Stay safe and well, especially in this heat.

Your paper-piecing projects are great, Angela, and what a fantastic way to use up scraps! They come together so well. Thank you for your visit, and I agree about the kitties being spoilt, but you need to take that up with my hubby because he hasn't got a disciplining bone in his body and lets them get away with blue murder on a daily basis! No wonder they never learn to behave properly because all my good intentions in that direction are always completely undermined by my hubby haha! I often think it's a good thing we never had children! I can well imagine how they'd have played us off against each other!

I am so glad you like my surgeon's card. It was a really fun project to make and I really want to do some more vibrant Indian-inspired painting like this, which not only uses bright colours but also lots of opportunity for pattern, too.

I think we all develop different ways of streamlining the work and avoiding too much donkey work. I did a few masterboards ages ago and made quite a few things with them but somehow got out of the habit of it. Another idea I have is to make lots of embossed die-cut backgrounds, frames and motifs to pull out and colour as required. Standardising the card sizes is certainly going to help.

Happy belated WOYWW,

I just love those strips, and doubt that I could ever get tired of that particular look. As always, you whet my appetite for play, so I'm heading to the studio ASAP!

I used up strips of paper on my SIL anniversary card, after remembering a you tube vid, although, some of her 'scraps' looked too good to be scraps! Love those little dogs! And washi tape!?? Someone said use it to hold down your dies...I have a couple I still haven't managed to get off! Stuck forever...even though I rubbed it on my T-Shirt first! Stay cool and safe, keep on crafting!
