Friday Fun Day with smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

We actually went into town but only because we needed to go to the bank.
Thought you might like to see the Lincoln Imps though only a few of them as they are scattered all over the city and that would have taken hours to photograph them all.
So here goes.

These are all part of the Lincoln Imp trail and there are 30 in all.

These were designed by local artists and raise money for St. Barnabas Lincoln Hospice.

The designs celebrate Lincoln's art, culture and heritage.

The town was fairly quiet when we got there but soon got busy. It felt a bit strange as it's a long time since we were in town.

This covered the front of one of the shops.

Some of them are really quite cute though I think
 imps can look quite scary.

If you choose to visit you can get a brochure explaining the trail and what all the imps stand for.

Other than that I've spent some time in the cabin this week altering a candy machine which some of you may have already seen here:

I think hubby thought I would never show my face again but I'm back Lol!

And gardening too.
The flowers are looking really nice right now.

Hibiscus so pretty.

Shasta Daisies.

And a little visitor too.

Obviously can't leave without some dog funnies:

Given half a chance our two would be like this.
And definitely like this!
Mmmm..... and probably do this!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

What a fabulous idea to have the Imps as a trail around Lincoln. Strange to be going out our end too but we are getting braver! x. The hibiscus and the daises look so cheery and pretty and thank you for the funnies at the end of the post. Extra laughed at the last one x. Enjoy your weekend too Angela x.

Thanks for sharing the Imps with us but I think they look rather scary too. Beautifully decorated though. Your garden keeps giving, like ours 🥰 love the dog funnies....so true too.
Hugs,

that is very cool the way they display the art, did you hunt down each piece of it while you were out and about? Loved the dog jokes too Angela :) ~Stacy

It's fun to see the Imps. Thanks for showing us. In Bristol we have had similar things. One year there were gorillas and another year there were sheep (The creator of Shaun the sheep is Bristolian). It's fun to get the map with the trail, especially with children (get them to walk). I know for sure that at the end of the season, they will be auctioned and they will bring in good money for the hospice.
Hospices are suffering financially as most money raising activities have been cancelled since the beginning of the pandemic. I know that St Peters Hospice (where I used to work) in Bristol has had to close several beds.
Your altered candy machine is beautiful and almost magical.
I smiled at your reaction to 'the knob'! I had to buy 4 and I only needed one. There had been a handle with a screw on each side, so I wanted to cover the holes with a knob that sat on a long piece that would make the holes invisible. I had ordered 12 'normal' ones and you can see them on my newly painted dresser in my post from 24 June.
As always, the funnies were hilarious. I'm sure every dog owner can identify with that.
My funny about 'mask freedom' will only be understood by people in England. As we are only a small bunch of people on this blog, most of them UK based. Elizabeth would probably not 'get it'. And Iris (German) hasn't commented on it.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

Those imps are really fun. I think of the word imp as being something mischievous and funny, but you are right, some could be a bit scary. They certainly brighten up the town.
I would never have thought of altering a candy machine, but why not?...
The flowers are lovely. I like the blue hibiscus and I always like daisies.
Have a good week. Kate x

I am LOVING those imps - what a great idea they are, and so very diverse. I can well imagine that it would be outstanding to get a glimpse of each one of them!
