Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

The Hydrangeas are looking lovely as they dry up for the winter.

The Bonsai are looking nice too, especially this beautiful Acer (Maple).

Stan found some where cosy to have a snooze! It certainly is a dog's life here!

His eyes look open but they were rolling as though he was dreaming.

And Maisie too.

Look at that sweet little nose.

Another of her favourite positions.

The builders continue to clear the land behind us.

This should give you an idea of how far away the work is taking place as I am looking over the fence at the moment though I have to climb up on several bricks to see over it.
There is a story here as we used to have a Bearded Collie and we couldn't keep him in the garden as he used to clear the old fence we had so we had to remove it and put this one up which is about six foot high.
He used to go up to the fence size it up, walk backwards and then make a run at it and if he couldn't clear it he would dig underneath it.
It actually cost us more to put the fencing up than it did to buy him but he was worth it.
Actually you can see a photograph of him on the right hand side bar.

And the next photographs were earlier in the week.

One of the foxes looking for his evening meal.
As you can see he knows I'm there but doesn't seem that bothered.

They look really healthy, beautiful coat.

A little sniff round the undergrowth.

I love watching them.

This gives a better idea of the distance I am from them.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing out friends as I am not sure they will be around for much longer as the builders get for ever closer and have chopped down some of the wooded area here and all the noise the workmen are making too, so we'll see.
Of course I can't go without a few funnies:

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Firstly I must say thanks again for my gorgeous card....it has been much admired. I love the Autumn colours in your garden and the dogs always make me smile....it’s a good life for them isn’t it? Your little fox looks so happy over your fence....it will be a shame if the building work moves them on. Love the dog funnies. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Hugs,
Annie x

That Acer Maple is amazing. I love how you are able to keep it so small. It's beautiful. Stan and Maisie look very content, too. It's definitely a dog's life. That little fox looks so content. I also wonder if it will be around after all the brush has been cleared. I hope it and the others will be able to find shelter near you, since you seem to enjoy them.

That Dog funny with the cat was hilarious. I've seen that cat pose more than once on Bleubeard when a dog came up on the porch once. Have a super rest of Friday and a great weekend, dear Angela.

Your hydrangea is still so pretty. Mine are all brown and finished for this year.
I love your sleepy dogs. Ours sleep all day too, and Foxy makes little noises as she dreams.
I love the maple though I am not really a fan of bonsai, but maples have such gorgeous autumn colours.
I hope the foxes stay around for a bit longer. It is such a treat to see them so close to you. Kate x

The hydrangea and the acer are looking splendidly autumnal. Lovely photos of the fox, they really are quite brazen, presumably because they rarely get challenged. Have a lovley week xx

It's always fascinating to view your Friday posts to see what's happening in the neighbourhood (and to enjoy the funnies). Your bonsai is lovely, and Maisie and Stan look appropriately relaxed and living the good life!
