Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

A3 Acetate and alcohol ink.

I'm still using the acetate, not used it all up yet.

The leaf die is Die-Namics, the red border was cut using Sue Wilson Craft Dies and the dragonfly is from an old collection of 3D insects, sadly I don't know what make these are. Finished the card with some Stickles Glitter glue.

I used a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card blank and used the leaf die to cut into it then layered it over the alcohol coloured acetate and attached it to the card blank.
The red border was used to mask off the tape which was used to stick the acetate down and then mounted over the design.

I love this card and hope you do too.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
I've been going through a few of the left-over photographs from our Matlock trip.

The Heights of Abraham.

It's always a great view getting there.

And when you get there too.

I've put this photo of Punch and Judy on as we may not see many of these in the future.

It's certainly very popular here but some people consider it to be too violent.

This pretty little waterfall is up there too.

This beautiful window tells the story of Matlock Baths. If you know it at all you will understand the story.

Had to show you this.
It was at the garden centre. Now that's one way to use your old bath.

On Wednesdsay I went to craft with a friend again.

Helping her to prep. some cards for the Craft Club on Saturday.
Just one of them here.

I don't really have much else to show you today so I'll finish with.....
a few dog funnies.

As it's not long until we alter the clocks here in the UK.......

This next one may well be familiar to all the dog owners.

They mean well I'm sure.
We used to have a dog that would take out every stone you put in the bucket.

And if you're a bit dirty after all that gardening.......

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 799 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I've started to tidy up the shelves as there are many of the large Tim Holtz dies that I don't use very often and I have continually put this job off so I've started to sort them but not finished yet and the exploding box looks a bit overly full!

I also had a bit of a shock when I tried to remove the Media Surface Mat from my Tim Holtz glass mat as the backing was stuck fast and will not come off. I have contacted Tonic as it's suposed to be non-stick.

Tonic have got back to me and I've sent them photos of this mess and they have said they will replace both but not sure yet why it did this so we'll see.

I've not had time to do anything with the diorama this week so afraid you will have to wait a bit longer to see it finished.
I have been busy doing other things as you can see and still getting over the mess on the glass mat but I have made another card using the alcohol coloured acetate. I needed a distraction.

There's information about these in the post below this one here: and more samples using these dies too.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Yes we still have some of this left-over so had to make something else.

These dies are by Sizzix.

Finished it with some Altenew enamel dots and a sentiment.

Now you may think this looks familiar because I made a similar card with some left-over Masterboard some time ago.

And this one too.

Hope that gives you a few ideas.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week and a couple of weeks ago too.

Just a few more photos from our trip to Matlock Bath.
This time our visit to Cromford Mill.

Part of the building that was the Mill and the water which comes down from the hills to drive the wheels that would have created the power to run the machines.
Click the arrow and watch the wheel.

If you don't know about Sir Richard Arkwright (23 Dec 1732 - 3 Aug 1792) he was an English inventor and a leading entrepreneur during the early Industrial
Revolution.

Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Richard_Arkwright

He was the founder of this factory.
Cromford Mill is a water powered Cotton Mill that acts as the Northern Gateway to the Derwent Valley mills UNESCO World Heritage sitre. The building is seen as the birthplace of the modern factory system and was set up in the 1770s.

The site was rescued from demolition in the 1970s by the Arkwright society and volunteers and supporters worked to re-invent the Mills as a centre for heritage, education and busineess support.
It had been taken over by a paint company before this so all the original machinery had already gone but
they have managed to obtain some from other places to give a feeling of how it would have been.

Some cotton came from Egypt but other countries too.

There's lots of information about Arkwright as you go round.

There were many of the business men who didn't like him because he was a self-made man and considered him rather common because of the way he dressed and spoke however he earned so much money that he had enough to pay off the national debt at the time.

Carders so you can have a go if you want to.

I love this place and it's well worth a visit.

Knitting machine.

If that's not enough you can do some shopping here too.

This was one of my favourite shops but I need to use up what I've got first!

It was an Aladdins cave for anyone who loves knitting and sewing.

Most of my time this week has been spent gardening.

But at least the weather has been good.

And we're getting there.

Just a little something to make you smile before I go.

I don't know who's most comfy here but Daisy knows who to cuddle up with and poor Alfie gets pushed out of the way if necessary!
Luckily he knows his place.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

I seem to have been distracted by gardening this week but promised to help a friend to do some samples for the Craft Club and this is as far as I've got so need to get a move on.

New die on the left but not tried it out yet.

I have done a bit more on the Diorama but it's not finished yet, I'm up to decorating the top......when I have time to continue with it.

Very clean release from the plastic tub.
Just added a few more details.

Click the arrow to see more.

Hope this works to give you a better view of the Diorama but next week should be better still.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

If it looks familiar that's because it is but no Christmas card this week.

Lots of die cutting to create the frames and border.
Nesting dies by Sue Wilson for Creative - Expressions and the leaves by The Stamp Market.

I'm not normally a big lover of black but combined with the strong red and gold it just works.

I've layered all these on a white card blank which works with the white showing amongst the red and green alcohol.
Finished with the sentiment and red Glitter glue.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
