WOYWW - 799 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I've started to tidy up the shelves as there are many of the large Tim Holtz dies that I don't use very often and I have continually put this job off so I've started to sort them but not finished yet and the exploding box looks a bit overly full!

I also had a bit of a shock when I tried to remove the Media Surface Mat from my Tim Holtz glass mat as the backing was stuck fast and will not come off. I have contacted Tonic as it's suposed to be non-stick.

Tonic have got back to me and I've sent them photos of this mess and they have said they will replace both but not sure yet why it did this so we'll see.

I've not had time to do anything with the diorama this week so afraid you will have to wait a bit longer to see it finished.
I have been busy doing other things as you can see and still getting over the mess on the glass mat but I have made another card using the alcohol coloured acetate. I needed a distraction.

There's information about these in the post below this one here: and more samples using these dies too.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

That's odd about the Tonic mat, good that they are replacing it but hope it won't happen again... the "distraction" card is beautiful! Happy WOYWW Helen #2

Wow. A crafting disaster, taking out TWO use-every-day things in one go. Great they were so responsive and agreed to deal with it. I wonder what happened? Super weird. Anyway, on to brighter topics :D that card is stunning. Love the leaves. And wow didn't you get a lot out of that Masterboard? Fab.
A quick hop before knitting at mine!
Happy WOYWW.

Oh my goodness - that's pretty rubbish about the two mats, but good that Tonic are replacing them. I hope they get to the bottom of what happened. I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem?

I also love the card you made using the alcohol ink acetate. So pretty! Might have to go looking for those dies now...

It's good that Tonic are replacing the spoilt items but i would be tempted to use them the same way to see if it happens again. Maybe you won't want to risk it though.
Sorry other things got in the way of the diorama but I remember how many weeks I talked about my tumbler before you got to see it - and I still have to collect it.
Love the card, willo look at revious post latger.

I bet you were really miffed after finding the mat stuck. I hope Tonic will be quick in replacing both of them. Love your cards using that Master board. You mentioned “alcohol coloured acetate”, did you drop the inks on acetate and then pull off a print? I do like those die cut leaf shapes. Happy WOYWW. Angela #15

O gosh! just what you didn't need but at least Tonic were prompt with offering to rectify the unfortunate issue for you. Striking effect with your alcohol inks on the acetate to create some beautiful cards! Happy Woyww - Michelle #16 x

I hope they’ll do what they promised. Your leaves are beautiful. I’ve also added an update to my blog to clarify the sequence of apple projects.
Take care and happy WOYWW

What a pickle with the mat! Not quite sure what was stuck to what but it shouldn't happen. I looked up my first WOYWW page today after reading Sarah's post and I'm still using the same green mat bought in 2012! Hopefully my health issues have run their course for now, thanks Angela. Hugs BJ#11

Always annoying when you have to complain about quality. I hope you get a quick replacement. I love the colour way on your card. x x Jo 🌈

Oh that card is SO luscious. I'm glad that you needed the distration, albeit as a result of the Tonic mess. May that get sorted soon so you can be relieved of that energy!!

That's a puzzle with what's happened to the mat. Hope you receive the new one soon. I've been looking back at your previous post to learn more about the alcohol coloured acetate method. The finished cards really are beautiful. I'm off to read your most recent post now. Elizabeth x #8

Love your distraction card Angela. Good luck with the rest of the sorting and the mat. Sorry to be so late visiting this week but I had great difficulty getting my computer to link up with the internet on Wednesday and a busy week at work. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW memories next week.
