Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This is one of the big trees in the park, very peaceful when we walked through there on Thursday but Saturday!

People and lots of them!

Saturday saw our lovely park full of visitors enjoying the Annual Summer Fair.
The entrance became a car park.

And everywhere was full of stalls and entertainment.

Such a sweet little train.

Stanley, probably wondering what's going on!

And Sunday it's all gone!

Apart from the numbers.

This is not a sight you see often. It just happened to be sitting right on the top of a water leak so had to be removed but it's back in it's rightful place now.

Can you see these!

Look closely because they are baby grapes growing in my garden!

We have had them before but not as many so we shall have to wait and see how they get on.

Before I forget, the artist from last week:

It's Richard Box what a talented artist, Annie (A Stitch In Time) and Shoshi got it right though I'm not surprised.
See that machine, they are the type I used to have when I was teaching, they just go on for ever, love them!
If you're interested I've put a link here so you can see his work. Take note of the sewing machine, he's obviously had it for sometime!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW # 423 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.

I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Oxide samples waiting to be made into cards.

Tim Holtz stencils, not sure yet which I will use.
The yellow things if you've not seen them before are painters pyramids and are a god send when you need to elevate your work above desk level. Towards the back are some very small square card blanks.

A card I made earlier which can be seen here.
And in the box are some Craftwork card Candi which I used on this card.

The black card bottom right is a die cut. Trying out a new die that I received this week.

Not on the desk but got these this week too.
Look forward to playing with those.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

If you visited me last Wednesday you will remember that I had a parcel, new Oxides! Set 2. and I am here today to show you some samples made with these.

So I had a play with them.

And these are samples but I haven't used all the colours so more samples will follow soon..

This set seems brighter than the first set and I love them.

So far I have used about half of the new colours together. I hope to find time soon to complete the tests with the new set and also combine some of the colours from set 1.

However this is Masterboard Monday so here is a card I've made with one of the new samples.
I cut the sample to the required size and then stamped on it with a text stamp and a Butterfly stencil by Memory Box (Flutter).
I've not used Tim's birds for a while but I think he works quite well on this card but what do you think?

I combined the finished Masterboard with stamps and dies by Tim Holtz and added some Craftwork Cards Candi embellishments.
Oh and I put a small blob of Glossy Accents on the eyes too.

The Masterboards may take a while to complete but once you have them you can make cards fairly quickly and that's what I am off to do right now!

I would love to hear your comments.
Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Many of you already know that I was out last Friday so I apologise if I didn't get round to visiting you.
I was at the Hobbycraft Show at the NEC Birmingham.
This is the entrance which was decorated with a knitted beach, how cute is that.

Quite busy here as you can see.

This was on the Marbling For fun Stand.
So pretty.

I also had a walk round the exhibition area.

Where I found:

Rusting on Canvas.

Gorgeous landscape wall hanging.
Love it, such a talented lady.

There was so much sewing going on, it was an absolute pleasure to see so many talented artists at work with Textiles rather than all the paper crafting that used to be here.
It has definitely levelled out now.
I think there is as much textiles based products as there are Paper Crafting.

They also had an exhibition of Japanese costumes.

Gorgeous.

Felted waistcoat.
So love felting and really want to have a go at Needle felting which is much less messy than the wet felting I used to do.

Fusing fabrics.
So love these techniques.

I wonder how many of you know who this artist is?
He has certainly written a few books and is well known for his creative textiles work.

I will wait and see if you know who he is and give you the answer next week.
Such a tease Lol!

So love the detail on this work too.

I guess that's enough for one day.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW # 422 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.

I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!

Some stamps on there towards the left that I'm working on, exploding box on the left nearly at the danger point again. Bits of left over Masterboard in the little box to the right and that shaving foam still waiting patiently but more importantly,
What's in the parcel!!!!

So as not to keep you in suspense I have opened it.

So excited!

New set of Distress Oxide ink pads, yes it's set 2 and I can't wait to play.

So that's me done for today cos.
I'm off for a good play with my new toy.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

If I can stop playing with my new toy I will go and see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

happy crafting,
