And this is my desk today.
Not much change there, just enough space to work, well! how much space do you need lol!
Been working on a Paper Mache letter.
Other than that you can see the usual collection of craft equipment, like, glue/glues, trays for embossing, baby wipes, embossing ink pad, heat resistant mat, double sided tape, dies, ink pads, acrylic blocks, you've seen it all before probably on hundreds of desks. These are things we cannot manage without.
And so to the project for this week.
After covering the letter with gesso, I painted it all over with EcoGreen Raspberry acrylic paint and then added crackle glaze and allowed it to dry.
Next add the top coat in this case Sand and watch the magic happen!
I can't help it I still love to see the cracking appear lol!
Gorgeous effect.
Decided to cut out and attach stars for the back.
And then started stamping the flowers, 'Punky Flowers' by Chocolate Baroque, first on cream card.
This is a paper I made some weeks earlier using the Gelli Plate.
I stamped the flowers here too.
I stamped some of the flowers directly onto the letter, cut out some of the flowers from the patterned paper and attached them to the stamped images.
And this is where I am at the moment.
Will post the completed letter tomorrow.
Hope you will pop over to some of the other workdesks as I am sure they will have exciting things on the go.
Happy Crafting,
Angela x

Hi Angela, I love the base colour on the 'G' and it looks wonderful with the crackles. Really looking forward to seeing the finished article now! Hugs, Anne xx
I love that crackle paint I tried to paint a wall once in it and learned it's better for smaller pieces just doesn't have the right look on a wall :) The deep red looks wonderful underneath.
It is a mixed blessing to have a craft store so close, I want to go and check it out 2nd I know I have to behave :)

I understand your love of crackle effects. That pink under sand looks great, as do your flowers.

Oh wow! that is so pretty. thank you for your visit. Karen #30
Love the crackle effect on your 'G' (even though I did read it as ' added sand and waited for the magic to happen' omitting the line about crackle glaze - doh). Those Baroque flowers are yummy but I really must stop obsessing over flowers LOL. Thanks for your earlier visit! Cindy #51
I love that letter, Angela, especially with the crackle glaze, which is an effect I really like. One day I want to make a whole series of letters to decorate my ARTHaven. Thanks for your visit and your nice comment, and I'm glad you like my desk. It's a rail with rings and clips where I hang all my rubber stamps, each in an individual bag with its original label inside so I know where I got it from. I got the idea on Pinterest and it's generated lot of comments on WOYWW this week!
