Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Brusho and Pixie powders and a 'Stencil Girl' stencil.

I had fun making this Masterboard.
I placed the stencil over the A3 water colour paper and rubbed over it with Tim Holtz Distress Glaze but you can also use Vaseline and as it works in  a similar way to resist the ink.
Next sprayed the paper to dampen it then sprinkled on the powder. More water applied and then left it to spread a little and dry.

I took a dry cloth and rubbed away any colour that was still on the design and reveal the resist pattern.

These were the colours left on the stencil which I pressed onto the paper to clean it before washing the stencil with soapy water.
It always surprises me how different they look so never waste any ink be it left on the craft mat or stencil, there is always a nice surprise if you know where to look for it!
Obviously I will have to use this to make something else later.
Do remember that this will still react with water when dry so it needs sealing which again can be done with the Tim Holtz Glaze or a spray sealant, I'm sure you have your favourite method.

So here we are! There's no need for lots of added detail for a Masterboard like this so I cut a shaped piece, layered it onto a gold card and attached it to the white card blank.

A simple sentiment leaving it suitable for a number of uses, a few gems and a sweet little butterfly finished with Stickles Glitter glue and the card is completed.

And you know what!!! there's plenty left for more cards!

Hope you like it and enjoyed watching me put this together.
I would love to hear your comments and many thanks for stopping by.

Happy crafting,

Angela x
