WOYWW- 576 # What's On Your Workdesk Wedesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I have got a few things going on and seem to be flitting from one to another but did get the car finished which you can see at the back of the picture.

It's meant to be my little green MGB GT, I guess it's near enough.

I got some of those sticky sheets that ShazWolf told us about but not done anything with them yet.
Then you can see my old iron at the back which I use for weighting stuff down.

I've got a new journal and because I can never decide what to do in them (it's the blank page thing!) I am playing with some techniques and will later decide how to complete the pages.

So I've had a play with a couple of pages so far and you can see some old brass weights which belonged to hubbies dad. He used to be a butcher when weighing was done the old way with weights.

Sorry think I confused some of you last week the second was a card but I photographed it open so you could see the back and some people that saw it thought it was a box so sorry for that.
Here it is again:

So that's me done for today though I have posted a new concertina book on Monday and if you missed it you can find it here, you might like the idea.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Hi Angela, lots of lovely projects going on. I used to have a green MG too so the painted stone brought back memories. I am finding it rather difficult to read the text on your blog against the photo in the background, especially where the background colour is light. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #8.

Hi Angela. What a productive week you've had. I really love the little green car...you are so clever. I hope you've managed to sort out your mum's care team now and things are settling down.
Hugs,

Morning Angela. Great car! Goodness - that takes me back! Sounds like you have been very successfully busy this week - well done. I'm presuming that means your mum's care is all up and functioning well...
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

You’ve had a very productive week - love the stone and yes, I think it is your little green MG. My word I’m not sure I’d fit in an MG anymore...can I even fold myself that low these days!! I like that you still use the weights from your Father In Laws business. My most treasured inheritances are the really useful ones - like my mUm’s wooden spoons and tea towels. They are a nice, gentle daily reminder. Meanwhile, I like that you call it blank page syndrome and then just set to - an excellent start if you ask me. For me, that particular syndrome just allows me to put off doing anything! How is your Mum doing at home, thinking of you both whilst she recovers.

I think that painted pebble is amazing!! You've really caught the character of the little green car, clever you. I love those old fashioned weights and actually wouldn't mind an old fashioned weighing scale, gosh that takes me back to when I was small going shopping with my mum....

Busy week for you this week! I have to admit, I did not have you pegged as a GT owner, you are full of surprises! Great job with the painted rock by the way. Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, hugs Cindy #12

You've done a fantastic job on that little car - I love it - and it looks like the blank page syndrome is being overcome with lots of lovely collage bits and bobs. I'm looking forward to seeing how that develops. The photo of your card is amazing - last week it looked like the back of a card - this week, now you've said the word box that is the first thing my eyes see, although I know it's a card - how strange - it could become an internet sensation!!
Hope you have a good week,
Diana xx #11

Hello Angela,

The car stone is pretty great!! - I like your Desk a lot, lots of things I would love to try out 😉. The Card image is kind of tricky as it cheats the eyes to believe it is a box. Sometimes things happen like that, as when you see faces or other things in the sky of a sudden.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Happy WOYWW

That car is such fun! I would never have imagined it becoming such a thing if I had seen it "naked" so to speak! Have a great week, Lisa-Jane #23

Hi Angela, I remember those old flat irons, My Mom had a few in a cupboard- they came in various sizes and weights as I recall. I'm old enough to be able to remember using the brass weights when I had a Saturday job as a youngster! You will love those sticky sheets in your stamping platform. I've not used them for my dies yet, as I tend to cut with the die downwards, rather than upwards. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #16 X

Sorry I am so late, had a bad day yesterday and today is not much better as yet. But did have two and a bit days of no pain before hence the crafting.
Love your little green car, it fit on that stone so well, a keepsake I hope.
I was admiring the old iron when I spotted the weights. Wish I had saved mine from an old pair of scales - not into crafting in those days. So much I could have saved but guess I would have needed a room just for the junk/treasures.
Hope your mum has settled now.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

Hi Angela, sorry for the late visit. How lovely, a new journal. One day, I will get round to something similar I'm sure. You've done a great job with the MG - perfect colour. I saw this sticky sheets in a demo video this week - something else for me to check out. Thanks for stopping by blog. Mr M also got some headphones to go with his guitar, so my eardrums are spared. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #13

Hello Angela, great start to the new journal, amazed that you too have blank page syndrome! Loved your concertina book. What glue do you use for lace? Your little car reminded me of my little green mini van I used to have. A belated happy WOYWW Angela #38

Ooooh... my dad used to have old irons and weights in his store (we had an antique store when I was young) - I wish he saved some so I could use those as weights, but I might find me one in a second hand store one day (will remember to look for it!) as I always am on the look for something to flatten my paper/pages.. what a wonderful idea, thanks!! I do love your green MGB GT!!! And yes, the 'blank page syndrome', it seems a lot of people suffer from it (not me, I even wrote a tutorial about it, and how to get rid of that first page - but you figured the solutions out yourself allready!) Thanks for stopping by my blog last week, I'm rather late with visiting you back - it's Saturday already! Time flies... enjoy your weekend, hug from Holland, Marit #24

Your little pebble car is adorable, Angela! I love the masterboards made from postage stamps and such a great idea to scan them so you can alter the colours if you want. I had a look at your most recent post about that.

Sorry to be running so late this week.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Angela! Sorry I'm so late, it's been a hectic week with hubby's surgery and all! I knew the card was a card, but I can see how people thought it was a box! Weird eye stuff going on! The weights are so great to have, I will have to look for some the next time I go thrift shopping. All I have are opium weights - and they are too small! It's a great idea to start backgrounds in your journal and come back to them later. I really like the page that you are showing.
Thanks for your visit, Lindart #36
