WOYWW - 577 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends. Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Well yesterday actually as things have been a bit busy here so I took this pic early just in case.
My mum had a little fall earlier this week so I've been doing my crafty stuff in between visits.
She is okay and actually this happened because she's feeling better and thought she could do more than she was ready for.

Anyway, Christmas cards started with some more of my postage stamp Masterboards.
The tube box has had to sit and wait for a while but I will get back to it.
The pebble has had a little more added to it and is nearly ready to be varnished.

These are a few of the edge dies I've used on my cards and some Stickles Glitter Glues towards the back.

And finally some lovely old stamps by Stampotique and Magenta.

Some of you were having problem reading the font so I've enlarged it, hope that's better.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Amazing to see such a busily productive desk given you've been fitting in visits to take care of your mum. Glad to hear she's doing better generally, but that's the opposite of a silver lining if it means she's fallen because she's getting stronger! Happy you're able to step in and be there to support her. Best wishes to her for a speedy recovery. Congrats on getting the C-cards started.

Truly you put me to shame as you have achieved so much even with caring for your mother. Love those stamps especially the ones that just don't date. Have a creative week.

Sorry to hear about your mum falling but it's good to hear she's feeling like challenging herself more. It's not easy to know you've done too much....until you've done it and it's too late then. Sending you big hugs for all the love and support you are giving her.

Aww so sorry that your mum had a fall but glad she is feeling better . Hope you find some time to rest . Those magenta stamps bring back memories- i used to adore Magenta but they did take up a lot of room - I think I donated them a while ago. Have a good week xxx Soojay #17

Hi Angela. Glad your mum is feeling better and settling back home - but sorry she got a bit too enthusiastic! Hope she recovers quickly from her fall. Great Christmas cards - i took a sneaky peek down the page - and lovely stamps. I do like wooden backed stamps. Somehow they seem more durable than some of the thin acrylic ones.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

We none of us want to admit that we're getting older...your poor mum, she's had such a lot to deal with recently, I hope she's not too badly hurt. You've got a lovely selection on show today, wooden stamps are so tactile!

So glad to hear your mum has been feeling stronger but sorry that she had a fall - hope she soon recovers. Also glad you are managing to get some crafting in, the stamp masterboards are fabulous and I love the old stamps - I miss having mine on wooden blocks but I didn't have the luxury of storage space so really had no choice.
Hope you have a good week,
Diana xx #16

So sorry to hear about your mum having a fall, I hope she is alright. My cousin Ken was 90 on Monday and when I rang him Friday (to avoid the rush of phone calls as I thought) he said he was fine. Then his grand daughter told me he had had another fall but he was too proud to let me know. Guess this is what happens as we get older. (I rang Friday thinking everyone would ring on Monday only to realise afterwards that there were not that many friend left now to be ringing him - doh - so I rang him again but didn't say I knew about the fall).
The Christmas cards are looking good and you are putting me to shame. I have done one!
Looking forward to seeing your pebble car when it is varnished. Talking of Stickles - I had got to the very bottom of three bottles and was desperate to use some on the wings of some bees I was making into cards. So desperate that I cut the top off and poked about with a cocktail stick trying to get the last bits out. I spent ages doing them and gave up when i could get no more. A few days later I noticed in the cubby hole above where the Stickles are kept were two NEW bottles! Think I should have gone to Specsavers? I did! Maybe I should try somewhere else.

Lots to see today!
I used to have one of those stamps...
Was wondering what font and size you are using - I am having trouble finding something appropriate in the new blogger.
Stay safe, keep well.

Hi Angela, sorry for the late visit. I hope your mum is ok, and wasnt too badly hurt or shaken by the fall. I really do like the stamp masterboard - I think I'll save up some postage stamps and do something similar, maybe for male birthday cards. Thanks for visiting earlier. I am really undecided about a trolley, as it won't fit under my desk, and I need to be able to pack it away when the grandchildren sleepover. Decisions, decisions. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #4

Loving the look of that busy creative desk Angela and Christmas cards?! I am in awe that you are organized enough to think of getting a start on them! Sorry to hear of your Mom's fall, hope she is up and around very soon. Deb xo

Sorry to hear that your mum had a fall, Angela, but I'm glad no harm was done. It's all too easy for them to think they are OK when they aren't! We had the same problem with my mum. It's a worry when it happens, though. Your desk looks lovely and busy as usual, with great projects.

Thank you for your visit. I'm more or less satisfied with the cardigan now, and time will tell if it settles down OK after washing, but first I've got to find some buttons! Also glad you like our fire - we wish we'd done this in the first place. My hubby has now put a black panel behind it which looks OK and covers the hole.

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #26

Thanks for enlarging the fonts on your blog, it's indeed much better readable this way! Sorry to hear your mum fell, but I just read your Friday post and I'm glad she's doing better now. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier this week, sorry I'm late with my visit back to your blog but finally time fell into place with my mind, yay! Have a great weekend, hug from Holland. Marit #28

Actually Angela, until you mentioned it I couldn’t work out what was different, but the enlarged font is great - I didn’t have to enlarge the page in sections! Glad you’re Mum is doing well, honestly, you must be shattered from all the sorting and visiting you’re doing! I love that you’ve got some old classic stamps out to use - cant beat ‘em!

Your poor mum, hope she takes it steady and gets back to her normal self soon. I empathise how family matters can take the umph out of crafting. Hoping that looking at blogs will get me going later this afternoon xx
