Masterboard Monday - Use it or lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard.

This left-over today was a piece I had used to clean my Brayer but waste not want not is the rule so here it is.
I've stamped some AALL and Create flowers which I then fussy cut.

I used one of the flowers to decorate the inside of the card finishing with Stickles Glitter glue and black ribbon. The sentiment is by Altenew.

All of these stamps are by AALL and Create to decorate the card blank

To complete the card I layered the front with a piece of the Masterboard and a lightly stamped white card onto which I arranged the flowers finishing with Stickles Glitter Glue and the black ribbon.

You should be able to see the Glitter Glue better here.

Simple but effective.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Pretty much the same as usual really, walking dogs obviously! food shopping, housework, gardening, crafting....definitely but we did go to the fish farm for some fish food etc. which made a nice change and I saw some beautiful new fish there, so may well be going back again but we'll see.

These are supposed to be Easter Cacti but obviously they don't know they are a bit late but pretty all the same.
I keep these in the front entrance porch all year round and they actually seem to enjoy the cold during the winter as much as the heat of summer and do really well.

This one is amazing.

Sadly only three cygnets now. No idea where the other two went. But these three are doing well and growing fast.

I had a visitor while I was taking the photograph maybe she thought I had something for her.

The fields on our way to mum's are brighter than ever.

The whole of this area is covered in yellow.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 625 - What's On Your Workdesk wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Well this is not very exciting but it's where I am today as I've been doing some more moulding.
The ATCs that have arrived are resting over on the left but don't worry as you'll get to see them lower down this post.
The tubs on the right are embossing paste as I've been playing with stencils too.

The moulds here on the left are Zuri and Finnabair.

I've also been having a play with that Verdigris embossing powder.
I started with a Tim Holtz embossing dabber.

And some printed paper which has been sitting in the drawer for years!

Then tried some of the new Sizzix 3D Adhesive which swells up when heated though it's not obvious here (and it's very sticky!) you can see how shiny the embossing powder is too.

Now of course I am not leaving without showing you the lovely ATCs that I've received.
From the left we start with the lovely postcards, greeting card and ATC from Margaret ( Glitter and Glue), along the top is Helen (queen of the Stash), my own ( just thought you might like to see that one) then Diana's beautiful creation, below that is from Mary Anne, love the little folder she made to hold the cards and that gorgeous envelope too then JO and Annie so pretty and in the centre is Zsuzsa's beautiful butterfly and envelope.
I have a few more to come and will let you see those when they arrive.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday - Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I made this ages ago but never got round to using it so it's time to do something with it.

The Washi tape is another thing that's been sat in the drawer.
There are so many things you can use this for and today I've taken some small pieces, attached them to card and then coloured them with Distress Oxide to match the Masterboard then die cut these with a triangular die.

I've mounted all this onto black card after grunging up the edge of the Masterboard piece and stamping a sentiment.

I've used these lovely AALL and Create cats to sit on the top of the triangles and then added some shading for depth. If you look closely you may be able to see that I've mounted this onto some shiny metallic paper before adding it to the card blank.

Love these.

I had one of the cats left over so added this to the inside of the card.

Hope you enjoyed that.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Lots going on in the park this week as they are clearing away all the machinery and tidying up.

This is a neat way to level off the soil as it works by remote control.

Despite all the disturbance the swans have five cygnets.

Maisie's getting a bit tired during her walk at the moment so had to get a Taxi for her, think she likes it too much!

This was Monday after I did my mother's shopping. Stan is so nosy that I have to put the bins in the space to try and stop him coming into the kitchen as he gets in the way.

However it may be noticeable that the bin has moved slightly.

Then suddenly in he comes. Sorry the photo is a bit blurred but this was a bit unexpected.

He thinks he owns the place I'm sure but he also knows that I have a habit of dropping stuff!

Now this week I'm not adding any dog funnies as I found this, hope you like it.

I saw this on Quora and it's something that I've always been interested in.
I've lived for a while in other parts of the UK and this was the one thing that always made me smile.
If you ask for this item in an area not common to you it's surprising what you might be asked about what you actually want. Of course most people now shop in the supermarket so you generally just pick up the product without reading the name.
Anyway read on and you'll start to understand.

There's a very simple way to test this that will not only identify a Brit but also where they are from in the UK.

Ask them what this is:
Acceptable answers include:

Barm - Liverpool

Barmcake - Lancashire, Manchester

Roll - South of England, Scotland

Cob - Birmingham

Breadcake - Yorkshire

Bread Roll - South of England

Bread Bun - North Yorkshire, North East

Bap - Shropshire

Muffin - Oldham

Batch - Coventry

Failing that you could always just ram your shopping trolley into them from behind in a supermarket and if the injured person apologises they're most certainly English!

I'm sure all my UK visitors will understand this and maybe other countries experience something similar.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.
I have a few things to do today but I will get round to see you all later.

WOYWW - 624 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Hi all, I'm in between projects at the moment so the desk looks a bit empty in comparison to it's usual appearance.

The ATCs are waiting to be posted and the little box on the left is some air dry clay, actually by the time you see this lots of the ATCs will be on their way to their new homes.
The exploding boxes don't look too bad today as I sorted them out earlier in the week.
The green net originally held fruit.

I've been trying to use up some more left-over Masterboards and included these guys in the process.

The Clothers peg/Pin is all completed and if you want to see more of this and the process in making you can find it here:
The little pot at the side is Verdigris embossing powder and I have a plan for that.

The little brown book on the right is where I keep all the birthday dates, don't want to miss any of those.
The little brass airships are still sitting there too as I've not found a use for them yet.

Everything else is pretty much the same so that's it really, nice and quick just how the boss likes it.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I'm still working on using up some old stash and today it's a Clothes Peg/Pin:

I have had this peg for so long that I can't remember where I got it from but it is by Creative Imagination.

The moulds, paints and wax are by Finnabair, all available at Hobbilicious.

I've used two stencils on this design, one by Finnabair and one by Echo Park.

The Art stones (Hobballs) are by Hobbilicious.

Just to give you an idea of how big this peg actually is, it's a whopper!

I don't want to keep you too long so here is a quick explanation of how I made this.
I started by taking the spring out

and then applied Grunge paste through a Finnabair Stencil, added the moulded pieces and art stones.

Applied the star stencil along the sides.

A close-up of this gorgeous lady.

One more peak at the finished project.

I then covered the whole thing with Gesso before applying the paint and wax.

Hope you like it.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
